    If you're anything like me you love some good seafood! In this video I'm making my own version of a seafood "boil," but instead of boiling everything we're smoking it all on the Pit Boss pellet grill and covering it all with a homemade clarified butter sauce!
    Make sure to check out Naked Woodworks - they're the amazing folks behind my custom cutting board! www.nakedwoodw...

    Best pellets for crab legs? Thinking about trying pitboss fruit blend.

    • @HolySmokesBBQ
      @HolySmokesBBQ  3 года назад +1

      You don’t want the smoke to be overbearing but at the same time they don’t take long to cook so you don’t really have to worry about it being overbearing. I’ve had them with hickory, as well as the Pit Boss Competition Blend and the Bear Mountain Gourmet Blend. Delicious every time! You can try fruitwood but just make sure you’re not getting a ton of smoke on them because I’d imagine it’d be a little funky with fruitwood + seafood, but that’s just a thought! Let me know how they turn out!

    Where did you purchase your grill from? Is this an electric grill? Thanks 😊

    • @HolySmokesBBQ
      @HolySmokesBBQ  3 года назад +1

      It’s an electric pellet grill/smoker combo from Pit Boss called their Platinum Lockhart. It’s a WalMart exclusive and I got it there! Thanks for watching!

      Awesome! Now are you able to achieve the same with their vertical grill? The 5 series?

    • @HolySmokesBBQ
      @HolySmokesBBQ  3 года назад +1

      For this type of cook, yes. I would say that it's situational because when you cook in a vertical you have to pay attention to what is dripping down onto what. Plus, the verticals aren't always as deep as the other models so fitting longer pieces of meat might be a bit tricky.

    What were your cooking times? Thanks

    • @HolySmokesBBQ
      @HolySmokesBBQ  3 года назад

      Potatoes took about 1.5 hours, but would have been quicker if they had been blanched ahead of time. Kielbasa took about 45 minutes. Crab legs took 30 minutes. Shrimp took about 15 minutes. Hope that helps - thanks for watching!

    • @davidmarsh1158

      Thanks so much. Yes potatoes take too long on the smoke settings. Blanching is a great idea 👏
