I only want to shorten by 6". Must I cut at the power cord end or can I cut the other end (correctly) and just fit an end cap? Also do I need to solder anytging or do I just push the end cap on and it will work?
You can only cut at each 30" interval where indicated, cutting in between the little wires and light would expose an extra electrical wire that could be dangerous, and the whole light (or the portion you cut up to) may not light anymore. No soldering required, just add the endcap and some silicone or tape to secure the connection and protect from weather conditions.
I've been looking for information on this.thank you
