Shenhe and Cryo in general really just needs Hoyo to stop screwing them over with cryo sheilds and/or resistant enemies in every damn abyss rotation. I really hope Natlan is better on this, because with Fontaine it honestly feels like they did it deliberately.
Its hard not to screw cryo with matchups when theyve been making enemies specifically to counter them for 4 major patches. there are too many hard counters
Mika is on the cusp of being great I feel, that physical shell of him and Furina just needs a Natlan electro support that can enable superconduct and the new artifact set which buffs elemental and physical damage, and obviously a better DPS to go along with it, Capitano is likely to be a physical dps so the archetype as a whole will probably get more support, but in the meantime I feel like high constellation Freminet preforms better than Eula since his damage is more spread out and less clunky, unfortunately he's super unpopular and no one wants to build him properly to actually test that.
I think Nilou can definitely be categorized as a niche support since only her can supercharge normal bloom, and I would definitely put her in A or S tier. Edit: for those who say Nilou is the DPS, technically the one with the most EM/the one with the most bloom ownership is the DPS, and Nilou is like Chevreuse who makes a reaction meta by changing it, but instead of using it to do res shred Nilou makes them much more powerful and makes them explode much earlier than usual.
Nope, she's a DPS. You build a team around her and her kit does the damage She's not supporting anybody, everybody is supporting her And slap any hydro and dendro unit with her and she'll work, that's not niche She's like xianyun but if all the plunge damage was coming from her passive instead of a partial amount
@@MuhaamadAreeb bloom as a playstyle existed before Nilou with the nerfed Barbara bloom and Fridge, and it is rather bad. Like with Chevreuse, bloom was made usable and meta.
Nilou is a main dps, not a support. Also I like how you mention bloom existed before her when bountiful cores NEVER existed before her. She has a playstyle no one else can enable and she is considered a dps for that, you can't call her a buffer when she needs 2 dendros and 1 hydro FOR HERSELF. Also Chevreuse never buffs overload, no one does, she does exactly what overload does. Overload increases the pyro/electro damage that will happen a few secs after the reaction happened, Chevreuse doesn't buff overload but rather buffs the damage that overload buffs by decreasing the enemy resistance and offering her party members an atk% that can reach up to 40%.

What physical truly needs is an off field physical DPS, doesn't even need to be pure physical, like when i though that freminet pet did hybrid off field DPS. I was wrong, oof

My Chevreuse team is so fun and so strong, love her. She's the one niche support I don't regret. Faruzhan is okay, my Wanderer team has never been great. And Gorou...is dead to me, along with Itto. Bah. Shenhe is my wife, so I can't say a word against her (apparently there's a spell on our marriage contract). She forever has a place of honor on my freeze team. But do I need my Freeze team? Not really. Oh well. Have a good vacation, Juice! I hope it's the best one ever!

Shenhe was my first ever Genshin limited 5 star, 100% waifu pull without really knowing what she did. ....still waiting to have an actual team to use her on
i think you overrated yunjin a bit. The issue with her is that she has to build stats to make her buff bigger but she has horrible energy issues. unlike faruzan or bennett where the buff is artifact agnostic so all you’re aiming for is ER in substats. For yunjin building ER comes at the cost of building def. So i have found that she’s worse in practice, i would drop her down to C
I got Faruzan C6 on day 1 for Wanderer on my main account, so I've never really experienced her C0-C5 clunky mechanics and she's to this day an irreplaceable buffer in any Wanderer team a come up with. Then one day she arrived on my 2nd account, and oh boy how different she feels at C0. I'd like to use her with Xiao, but at C0 there are simply better and easier alternatives.

@@no-do4pv REAL The literal god of geo and Ningguang, who were my mains at the time, both can't use Gorou lol Idk why they couldn't change the order of buffs at least 1 geo: geo dmg buff (buffs only one character anyways, shouldn't be too op) 2 geo: interrupt res (decent on Ningguang with only crystallize shields) 3 geo: def up (Noelle and Itto both run triple geo as their BiS teams anyways so they wouldn't be affected much at all)
Chev being behind Faruzan when Faru only works at C6 is crazy, besides the restriction on Chev is just the res shred, you can use Kazuha and/or VV, Zhongli, anything that can acomplish the same buff as -40% Pyro/Electro res would provide. Not to mentions that C6 Chev is stronger than any C6 on this list except Shenhe
Because mika is supposed to buff damage but works great as a healer, i feel like hes supposed to work with furina since bennett caused buffing character damage to become a much more complicated affair
i pretty much agree with all your takes - however i think niche DPS should be included as they’re just a a integral to uplifting niche team comps as supports are. lyney was a huge buff to people who wanted to play mono pyro, nilou was a huge buff to people who wanted to play bloom. i’d say lyney and nilou both deserved spots on this tierlist
I think Mika has a strong case for B tier because he does have slightly more flexibility than other Niche supports on this list. At the very lowest end of the argument is that Mika buffing physical damage means that aside from catalyst users, he buffs some amount of damage for all units. On the more specific end of the argument, Mika is a good enabler of a Superconduct/Aggravate team. This is seen to the best effect with Razor as he can make use of both reactions at the same time during his ult. With Mika’s physical damage buff, it gives greater flexibility to run Razor with either an Electro damage goblet or an Attack % one. If you wanted to, you could even run an EM goblet to increase Razor’s personal reaction damage, increasing both his power floor and ceiling.
Imo Furina's release solved every issues of a eula team, making Mika's value overall much better than during his release. Its now a pretty comfy team since taser provides a lot of poise, you dont need IR/shield with eula and mika's healing is massive, the electro sub dps is buffed too, no circle impact, no vv set up. The Raiden Eula comp works better this way too. And ofc it's not a top tier team, but physical isnt designed to ever be top tier based on the mobs resistance since release
Faruzan: for Wanderer, I can agree, she's a game changer. Especially on C6. As I have no Xiao, I can't say anything about that, but probably for him too. Chevreuse: is literally an enabler. Like how Shinobu got a huge glowup with Hyperbloom becoming a reaction, which she can enable really well, Chevreuse is the same for Overload. With the only 2 differences being elementlocking the team, and not having a limited banner 5 star who could do the same job just slightly better. (Raiden. I'm thinking of Raiden for hyperbloom triggering.) About Shenhe: So long as she's at least partially tied to how good Ganyu is, she's SSS tier. After all, Ganyu is the GOAT. The one and only Cocogoat. But no, really, my Ganyu carries me through EVERYTHING since her first banner. That banner was the 1 time I wanted to spend money on Genshin, but my card declined for some godforsaken reason. I was hunting achievements until the last day of her banner, for those meager primogem rewards, to get enough for her to come home, which happened on the very last day on said banner at soft pity. (78 pulls. I remember well how much effort those last 2 took to get the primos for...) So long as Shenhe works with Ganyu, she's a unit I'd consider pulling for. Provided she's not up against competition like an Archon or something on the banners. A new archon that I don't yet have that is. Also, based on what I heard about Mavuika, being an off-field pyro applicator, she'll be a great Ganyu support too. For Melt. Or you know, for ANY team that can make use of Xiangling, who's a god tier 4 star unit that everyone and their moms should build. Shenhe's other great selling point for me is, that I really like both Ganyu (I belive this was obvious) and Xianyun. And Shenhe is like a little sister to Ganyu, and a daughter to Xianyun. I kinda want that whole family in the roster. Preferably with their limited skins as well, but unless Mihoyo releases that 4 star skin selector that they sold with that 1 specific China only PS5 bundle, I don't think we'll ever see such a thing. Maybe if we reviewbomb them again for shitty anniversary rewards or something, but even that'd be a longshot. As for Mika, I didn't even use him on my Eula's team. That team needed 2 things: enough energy so Eula's burst was always ready to go, and someone to protect her while she's smacking people with that claymore. So I had Raiden on that team, in a shared main dps position, so both of them can fully go for their bursts, and Raiden keep the energy coming for both. Diona, for shields/heals/cryo resonance, her EM buff and cryo battery status wasn't utilized that much; and Fischl/Yae Miko, usually Miko, for electro resonance and off-field damage. Wasn't the best team by any means, but it cleared the abyss no questions asked. At least the side that didn't get my Ganyu+Zhongli to sweep stuff up. As for the other 3, While I did use Sara for Raiden hyper carry when I got her at C0, heck, even in Imaginarium Theatre receantly, she was quite underwhelming. It might just be me not using her properly, but changing that team into an overload one with Chevreuse instead of a mono electro with an anemo for VV shred made that team roughly 200% better. I don't have, nor do I plan on getting Itto, so my Gorou is kinda useless too. My Junjin might see some use sometime in the future, but so far I don't have any teams where she'd be my best option either. Or at least not any where her name would have come up. But her buffs are nice for any team that relies heavily on normal attacks.
I would probably raise Shenhe to A tier, but that's mostly due to my personal success using her alongside Ayaka for almost every single Abyss rotation since Shenhe's last rerun in 3.5. There are definitely times I struggled to use that combo, which is when I swap out for a Hu Tao, Neuvillette, or a Navia team to help full clear. But for the recent monthly Abyss cycles my Ayaka has seen comfortable Floor 12 full clears alongside Neuvillette. Yes my Neuvi team is the faster team, but the fact I have used Ayaka/Shenhe this long even before the new Fontaine teams I have now should say something. But again, this is my own personal success with Shenhe with Ayaka.
2:26 Yes But Pyro Xiao is Way superior in terms of DMG and meta. Like a peak potential Anemo Xiao can do like 100k-120k max but a Pyro Xiao can do 200k+ DMG per plunge so that's that. That's Why Xiao's Best Team is not: Xiao Faruzan Bennett Zhongli But is: Xiao Furina Bennett Xianyun Additionally Pyro Xiao enables Continuous DMG rotation i.e. Both Anemo Plunges as well as Pyro Plunges.

Pyro Xiao ain't that great and is pretty clunky to play, he's tied to Bennett's circle impact, Furina's hydro application isn't fast enough to properly keep up and its straight up worse in aoe situations.
It's kinda funny I have Faruzan c6 but neither Xiao nor Wanderer. And am building her now bc of theater. Wondering if I should get either the puppet emo boy or yaksha emo boy as they both have a special place in my heart

@@Juice-chan Well, because yes he doesn't work well with Eula, but he works really well with Scara. I consider him not just as a physical buffer but also as an attack speed buffer. I do wish he also buffed attack like Sara tho cuz when Eula is your only physical teammate, buffing just Physical% may not be the most useful of things. Idk and in general he's a good Furina healer and he feels more useful than Yun Jin and Sara have ever been.
@@kawaiimika7974I have tested him out with Scara and he doesn't do great, the atk speed isn't that special since he doesn't buff any Scara numbers so Scara's output becomes limited and there are also better healers than him. Bennett is a total upgrade to Mika because of the huge atk buff that can outdamage the few more hits Mika has to offer and also organised healing. But even if he was actually good with Scara it would be Scara and Eula at this point, there aren't many other characters that can make use of him so he just falls off since Scara isn't that great overall either way. I mean, he is a good dps choice but he definitely doesn't feel like he is someone really strong, at least not when low-invested and with Mika he falls off even more.
I think yunjin should be in C tier, no matter how much i adore her. the second a 2nd enemy shows up, her buff shits the bed and depletes too quickly. i would rather use candace who can even deal damage, especially at c6 with 0 conditions where yunjin is geo, who buffs normals well only in single-target, on a tuesday night, when the moon is full, with yoimiya in the party, while requiring more energy than i'd like her to.
Neh, that one is mostly right. Mona is the highest dmg amplifier for Freeze(unless Furina is better these days? Idk, i stopped paying attention to TC stuff some time now), and even Ganyu is equivalent if not slightly better than Shenhe in that department. She 100% is better in AOE and not bad in ST either.

She just happens to support the region that is the last one. Here are SOME sets that Hoyo can design in a blink of an eye that makes sense. When CRYO damage is applied give cirt rate / ATK to the entire team this works off field. Already you have Shenhe meta. This is not extreme by any means there are many sets that can do similar things for other elements. It's actually a matter of when not if. Many characters are designed to flourish as time passes Shenhe is def one of those.

@@alexanderericson8628 Lets say that you are right, does that negate the fact that she is rather underwhelming as a nieche support? She is not on the lvl of a Mona for freeze or a Faruzan for Anemo and she is a premium 5*. She needed to be better from the start . As things stand Ganyu is probably better and I don't see any way for that to change in a way that makes Shenhe better but not Ganyu.
@@shadowpriest2574 Ganyu suffers from finding windows to do charged shots if you play her soley as a ult damage dealer I guess you can do that. The only reason I can see that htey made her underwhelming is that they plan to buff Cryo a lot and they already knew that when they made her. Since they cannot change characters going back. Hoyo has the whole roadmap for at least 9.0 they plan characters waaaay in advance to make sure that the game doesn't break because of powercreep. Hypothetical with a bit of reason behind say they add Hypothermia that is a dot that do damage based on how much cryo is applied, that would change the element forever and it would probably quickly be on par with Vape. Now the reaosn I say that is because they have this mechanic in a game called Honkai Impact 3, and this game takes a lot of inspiration from that game and I do mean a lot. This hypothetical mechanic would not break the elemental structure because it would soley apply to mono cryo teams, so other reactions would not be affected.
I got both Wanderer and C6 Faruzan largely without meaning to hahaha. Now I just need to figure out how to actually play them together properly. Maybe after I can pull Desert Pavilion out of a strongbox.
I feel like not mentioning Noelle under Gorou's section is a bit of a disservice since Noelle, Gorou, Furina and a Geo flex is such a great team for Noelle.

@@ferend4038 depending on the team setup she only needs around 130 ER which isn't asking a lot. As for weapons yeah Redhorn is the 5 star BiS but she works plenty well with R5 Whiteblind or R5 Serpent Spine. Gorou is obviously better at C6 but hes not unplayable for Noelle at C0-5.
I feel like Chevreuse is an S tier support for sure. Chevreuse actually has a crazy C6 and ofc we are talking about C6 cuz otherwise why even consider Faruzan. Her buffs are crazy, if you have the event weapon she does great with it because she gains hp and also recharges her and she also heals pretty well, I find her very comfy and powerful even at C0, Raiden has reay good teams with Chevreuse, Clorinde also has a really good overload team, if you try Fischl Thoma Chevreuse the team goes boom boom and it actually performed better than my aggravate/quickbloom teams, I actually find overload more fitting for Clorinde even though that is the only overload team that has outdamaged the other ones. I still find her a bit worse than Faruzan because Faruzan enables characters that are stronger than Clorinde and Raiden while also being a really good battery but I definitely believe Chevreuse deserves the S spot.
Not just Raiden and Clorinde. I cba to double swirl with characters who frankly don’t need it, so I run my arleccino in mono or pseudo-mono teams like overload with chevreuse replacing kazuha and yae replacing xianling and the overload version probably my comfiest team. One of arleccinos biggest benefits is the rotational flexibility in her infusion not expiring or even giving a head start for the next rotation, so with yae’s long off field application (raiden could work too but I like the subdps and my yae is well invested) and chevreuse not needing to swap in to maintain swirls on every enemy, the team just feels far better. Can’t wait for chevreuse constellations. This all being said, I imagine burning will be the most comfortable overworld team for arleccino once emilie releases so she doesn’t burn herself to death fighting on grass. But in endgame, overload feels so fluid.
@@tommyhickin4669 I agree that Raiden and Clorinde aren't the only ones but there are hardly any characters that can make use of it. For example Arle is very reliant on Bennett, on an overload team she gets comfy, sure, but without Bennett the trade off of comfiness for damage than Arle provides is not worth it, at least that is true for me, if Arle can't have Bennett I prefer using Hu Tao even though the damage is less.

First of all, i dont really think any niche character is S. Especially not Faruzan, she is basically Kujo sara, with unreal ER requirements. Yes she can swirl, but you build her for buffing the Anemo dmg itself. B tier. The only one here above average is Cheverouse, bcs she basically has no drawbacks. Other than that.... Sara, needs C6. B tier Faruzan, needs C6 and tun of ER. B tier Shenhe buff overall dmg, same as Sara, but its not significant compared to Benet, Kazuha and other OP supports in orthodox teams. B+ Yun Jin, good in what she does, but not many characters can use it. B tier Cheverouse, fixed whole reaction alone, replaces other supports. A tier Gorou, needs C4. B tier Mika, isnt niche, Benet is better. C tier.
Dude what are you talking about ? Faruzan does ress shred anemo dmg buff and crit dmg buff no other characters comes close to her buffs except chevreuse, sara is only used with raiden she’s clunky everywhere else
u didnt mention wrio when talking about shenhe, i have never played wrio in freeze i always use him with shenhe mono cryo, wrio, shenhe, kazuha and layla is one of my favoruite teams

Shenhe should be higher since she simply doesn’t have new better partners yet or you shouldn’t add her cause she’s limited and extremely rare to rerun so you can’t consider many have her C1 or C2.

Chevreuse > Faruzan >> Gorou > Shenhe >> Yun Jin > Sara >> Mika Chevreuse edges Faruzan due to more play options. Gorou and Shenhe do their jobs, on a team you might actually want to play. Yun Kin is mid. Kujou Sara is outright bad unless you have a character (Raiden) who can frontload their damage in the first 4 seconds, and Mika wasn't even an upgrade for Eula.
as Wryo haver Shenhe is most useless character I have. every other option is better. My Sara at c4 is unusable cos Fichls is just 3 times better. her short buff duration also makes her feel bad to play. Faruzan is so powerful that any anemo dps is mid or trash without her c6. that will include all future anemo dps which severly limits their teams. Chevruse is on Faruzan level cos she provides better buffs than KAzuha.

After watching it i'll say i kinda agree with the idea that she might become good in natlan, but with charlotte furina she can be easily replaced for ayaka so i dont think shes any god sent And for ganyu shes just straight up not used lol

The pyro archon is either gonna make melt incredibly meta or have every abyss until Snezhnaya be full of cryo enemies
Mika is on the cusp of being great I feel, that physical shell of him and Furina just needs a Natlan electro support that can enable superconduct and the new artifact set which buffs elemental and physical damage, and obviously a better DPS to go along with it, Capitano is likely to be a physical dps so the archetype as a whole will probably get more support, but in the meantime I feel like high constellation Freminet preforms better than Eula since his damage is more spread out and less clunky, unfortunately he's super unpopular and no one wants to build him properly to actually test that.
I think Nilou can definitely be categorized as a niche support since only her can supercharge normal bloom, and I would definitely put her in A or S tier.
Edit: for those who say Nilou is the DPS, technically the one with the most EM/the one with the most bloom ownership is the DPS, and Nilou is like Chevreuse who makes a reaction meta by changing it, but instead of using it to do res shred Nilou makes them much more powerful and makes them explode much earlier than usual.

Also I like how you mention bloom existed before her when bountiful cores NEVER existed before her. She has a playstyle no one else can enable and she is considered a dps for that, you can't call her a buffer when she needs 2 dendros and 1 hydro FOR HERSELF.
Also Chevreuse never buffs overload, no one does, she does exactly what overload does. Overload increases the pyro/electro damage that will happen a few secs after the reaction happened, Chevreuse doesn't buff overload but rather buffs the damage that overload buffs by decreasing the enemy resistance and offering her party members an atk% that can reach up to 40%.

We need multiple physical off-fielders honestly. It needs to be treated like it's own element, same way there's tons of off field characters that deal elemental damage

My Chevreuse team is so fun and so strong, love her. She's the one niche support I don't regret. Faruzhan is okay, my Wanderer team has never been great. And Gorou...is dead to me, along with Itto. Bah. Shenhe is my wife, so I can't say a word against her (apparently there's a spell on our marriage contract). She forever has a place of honor on my freeze team. But do I need my Freeze team? Not really. Oh well. Have a good vacation, Juice! I hope it's the best one ever!

i think you overrated yunjin a bit. The issue with her is that she has to build stats to make her buff bigger but she has horrible energy issues. unlike faruzan or bennett where the buff is artifact agnostic so all you’re aiming for is ER in substats. For yunjin building ER comes at the cost of building def. So i have found that she’s worse in practice, i would drop her down to C
I got Faruzan C6 on day 1 for Wanderer on my main account, so I've never really experienced her C0-C5 clunky mechanics and she's to this day an irreplaceable buffer in any Wanderer team a come up with.
Then one day she arrived on my 2nd account, and oh boy how different she feels at C0. I'd like to use her with Xiao, but at C0 there are simply better and easier alternatives.

Chev being behind Faruzan when Faru only works at C6 is crazy, besides the restriction on Chev is just the res shred, you can use Kazuha and/or VV, Zhongli, anything that can acomplish the same buff as -40% Pyro/Electro res would provide. Not to mentions that C6 Chev is stronger than any C6 on this list except Shenhe
Because mika is supposed to buff damage but works great as a healer, i feel like hes supposed to work with furina since bennett caused buffing character damage to become a much more complicated affair

i pretty much agree with all your takes - however i think niche DPS should be included as they’re just a a integral to uplifting niche team comps as supports are. lyney was a huge buff to people who wanted to play mono pyro, nilou was a huge buff to people who wanted to play bloom. i’d say lyney and nilou both deserved spots on this tierlist

I think Mika has a strong case for B tier because he does have slightly more flexibility than other Niche supports on this list.
At the very lowest end of the argument is that Mika buffing physical damage means that aside from catalyst users, he buffs some amount of damage for all units.
On the more specific end of the argument, Mika is a good enabler of a Superconduct/Aggravate team. This is seen to the best effect with Razor as he can make use of both reactions at the same time during his ult. With Mika’s physical damage buff, it gives greater flexibility to run Razor with either an Electro damage goblet or an Attack % one. If you wanted to, you could even run an EM goblet to increase Razor’s personal reaction damage, increasing both his power floor and ceiling.
Imo Furina's release solved every issues of a eula team, making Mika's value overall much better than during his release. Its now a pretty comfy team since taser provides a lot of poise, you dont need IR/shield with eula and mika's healing is massive, the electro sub dps is buffed too, no circle impact, no vv set up. The Raiden Eula comp works better this way too.
And ofc it's not a top tier team, but physical isnt designed to ever be top tier based on the mobs resistance since release
Faruzan: for Wanderer, I can agree, she's a game changer. Especially on C6. As I have no Xiao, I can't say anything about that, but probably for him too.
Chevreuse: is literally an enabler. Like how Shinobu got a huge glowup with Hyperbloom becoming a reaction, which she can enable really well, Chevreuse is the same for Overload. With the only 2 differences being elementlocking the team, and not having a limited banner 5 star who could do the same job just slightly better. (Raiden. I'm thinking of Raiden for hyperbloom triggering.)
About Shenhe: So long as she's at least partially tied to how good Ganyu is, she's SSS tier. After all, Ganyu is the GOAT. The one and only Cocogoat. But no, really, my Ganyu carries me through EVERYTHING since her first banner. That banner was the 1 time I wanted to spend money on Genshin, but my card declined for some godforsaken reason. I was hunting achievements until the last day of her banner, for those meager primogem rewards, to get enough for her to come home, which happened on the very last day on said banner at soft pity. (78 pulls. I remember well how much effort those last 2 took to get the primos for...) So long as Shenhe works with Ganyu, she's a unit I'd consider pulling for. Provided she's not up against competition like an Archon or something on the banners. A new archon that I don't yet have that is. Also, based on what I heard about Mavuika, being an off-field pyro applicator, she'll be a great Ganyu support too. For Melt. Or you know, for ANY team that can make use of Xiangling, who's a god tier 4 star unit that everyone and their moms should build. Shenhe's other great selling point for me is, that I really like both Ganyu (I belive this was obvious) and Xianyun. And Shenhe is like a little sister to Ganyu, and a daughter to Xianyun. I kinda want that whole family in the roster. Preferably with their limited skins as well, but unless Mihoyo releases that 4 star skin selector that they sold with that 1 specific China only PS5 bundle, I don't think we'll ever see such a thing. Maybe if we reviewbomb them again for shitty anniversary rewards or something, but even that'd be a longshot.
As for Mika, I didn't even use him on my Eula's team. That team needed 2 things: enough energy so Eula's burst was always ready to go, and someone to protect her while she's smacking people with that claymore. So I had Raiden on that team, in a shared main dps position, so both of them can fully go for their bursts, and Raiden keep the energy coming for both. Diona, for shields/heals/cryo resonance, her EM buff and cryo battery status wasn't utilized that much; and Fischl/Yae Miko, usually Miko, for electro resonance and off-field damage. Wasn't the best team by any means, but it cleared the abyss no questions asked. At least the side that didn't get my Ganyu+Zhongli to sweep stuff up.
As for the other 3, While I did use Sara for Raiden hyper carry when I got her at C0, heck, even in Imaginarium Theatre receantly, she was quite underwhelming. It might just be me not using her properly, but changing that team into an overload one with Chevreuse instead of a mono electro with an anemo for VV shred made that team roughly 200% better. I don't have, nor do I plan on getting Itto, so my Gorou is kinda useless too. My Junjin might see some use sometime in the future, but so far I don't have any teams where she'd be my best option either. Or at least not any where her name would have come up. But her buffs are nice for any team that relies heavily on normal attacks.
Don't worry, when I tried pulling for my babygurl, I got a c5 Beidou but only a c0 Faruzan
I would probably raise Shenhe to A tier, but that's mostly due to my personal success using her alongside Ayaka for almost every single Abyss rotation since Shenhe's last rerun in 3.5.
There are definitely times I struggled to use that combo, which is when I swap out for a Hu Tao, Neuvillette, or a Navia team to help full clear. But for the recent monthly Abyss cycles my Ayaka has seen comfortable Floor 12 full clears alongside Neuvillette. Yes my Neuvi team is the faster team, but the fact I have used Ayaka/Shenhe this long even before the new Fontaine teams I have now should say something.
But again, this is my own personal success with Shenhe with Ayaka.
2:26 Yes But Pyro Xiao is Way superior in terms of DMG and meta. Like a peak potential Anemo Xiao can do like 100k-120k max but a Pyro Xiao can do 200k+ DMG per plunge so that's that.

Pyro Xiao ain't that great and is pretty clunky to play, he's tied to Bennett's circle impact, Furina's hydro application isn't fast enough to properly keep up and its straight up worse in aoe situations.

@@Juice-chan Well, because yes he doesn't work well with Eula, but he works really well with Scara. I consider him not just as a physical buffer but also as an attack speed buffer. I do wish he also buffed attack like Sara tho cuz when Eula is your only physical teammate, buffing just Physical% may not be the most useful of things.
Idk and in general he's a good Furina healer and he feels more useful than Yun Jin and Sara have ever been.

@@kawaiimika7974I have tested him out with Scara and he doesn't do great, the atk speed isn't that special since he doesn't buff any Scara numbers so Scara's output becomes limited and there are also better healers than him. Bennett is a total upgrade to Mika because of the huge atk buff that can outdamage the few more hits Mika has to offer and also organised healing. But even if he was actually good with Scara it would be Scara and Eula at this point, there aren't many other characters that can make use of him so he just falls off since Scara isn't that great overall either way. I mean, he is a good dps choice but he definitely doesn't feel like he is someone really strong, at least not when low-invested and with Mika he falls off even more.
I think yunjin should be in C tier, no matter how much i adore her. the second a 2nd enemy shows up, her buff shits the bed and depletes too quickly. i would rather use candace who can even deal damage, especially at c6 with 0 conditions where yunjin is geo, who buffs normals well only in single-target, on a tuesday night, when the moon is full, with yoimiya in the party, while requiring more energy than i'd like her to.

Idk, i stopped paying attention to TC stuff some time now), and even Ganyu is equivalent if not slightly better than Shenhe in that department. She 100% is better in AOE and not bad in ST either.

Hoyo is just not focused on that element atm, they are more focused on GEO and Hyperbloom mostly because it is a reaction that is somewhat easy to play. She just happens to support the region that is the last one.
Here are SOME sets that Hoyo can design in a blink of an eye that makes sense. When CRYO damage is applied give cirt rate / ATK to the entire team this works off field. Already you have Shenhe meta.
This is not extreme by any means there are many sets that can do similar things for other elements. It's actually a matter of when not if.

Right, but that is not a guarantee that she will be that good either and Shenhe plain gives too little to ever be that good.
You would need to design a very, very specific artifact set to make her better yet not somehow elevate other options that are today better than her or equal like Ganyu or Mona.

She is not on the lvl of a Mona for freeze or a Faruzan for Anemo and she is a premium 5*. She needed to be better from the start . As things stand Ganyu is probably better and I don't see any way for that to change in a way that makes Shenhe better but not Ganyu.
@@shadowpriest2574 Ganyu suffers from finding windows to do charged shots if you play her soley as a ult damage dealer I guess you can do that. The only reason I can see that htey made her underwhelming is that they plan to buff Cryo a lot and they already knew that when they made her. Since they cannot change characters going back. Hoyo has the whole roadmap for at least 9.0 they plan characters waaaay in advance to make sure that the game doesn't break because of powercreep. Hypothetical with a bit of reason behind say they add Hypothermia that is a dot that do damage based on how much cryo is applied, that would change the element forever and it would probably quickly be on par with Vape. Now the reaosn I say that is because they have this mechanic in a game called Honkai Impact 3, and this game takes a lot of inspiration from that game and I do mean a lot. This hypothetical mechanic would not break the elemental structure because it would soley apply to mono cryo teams, so other reactions would not be affected.
Mona better be on this list. Without Mona, Ayaka does nothing until she has full premium 5* team.

I feel like not mentioning Noelle under Gorou's section is a bit of a disservice since Noelle, Gorou, Furina and a Geo flex is such a great team for Noelle.

@@ferend4038 depending on the team setup she only needs around 130 ER which isn't asking a lot. As for weapons yeah Redhorn is the 5 star BiS but she works plenty well with R5 Whiteblind or R5 Serpent Spine. Gorou is obviously better at C6 but hes not unplayable for Noelle at C0-5.

I feel like Chevreuse is an S tier support for sure. Chevreuse actually has a crazy C6 and ofc we are talking about C6 cuz otherwise why even consider Faruzan. Her buffs are crazy, if you have the event weapon she does great with it because she gains hp and also recharges her and she also heals pretty well, I find her very comfy and powerful even at C0, Raiden has reay good teams with Chevreuse, Clorinde also has a really good overload team, if you try Fischl Thoma Chevreuse the team goes boom boom and it actually performed better than my aggravate/quickbloom teams, I actually find overload more fitting for Clorinde even though that is the only overload team that has outdamaged the other ones. I still find her a bit worse than Faruzan because Faruzan enables characters that are stronger than Clorinde and Raiden while also being a really good battery but I definitely believe Chevreuse deserves the S spot.
Not just Raiden and Clorinde. I cba to double swirl with characters who frankly don’t need it, so I run my arleccino in mono or pseudo-mono teams like overload with chevreuse replacing kazuha and yae replacing xianling and the overload version probably my comfiest team. One of arleccinos biggest benefits is the rotational flexibility in her infusion not expiring or even giving a head start for the next rotation, so with yae’s long off field application (raiden could work too but I like the subdps and my yae is well invested) and chevreuse not needing to swap in to maintain swirls on every enemy, the team just feels far better. Can’t wait for chevreuse constellations.
This all being said, I imagine burning will be the most comfortable overworld team for arleccino once emilie releases so she doesn’t burn herself to death fighting on grass. But in endgame, overload feels so fluid.
@@tommyhickin4669 I agree that Raiden and Clorinde aren't the only ones but there are hardly any characters that can make use of it. For example Arle is very reliant on Bennett, on an overload team she gets comfy, sure, but without Bennett the trade off of comfiness for damage than Arle provides is not worth it, at least that is true for me, if Arle can't have Bennett I prefer using Hu Tao even though the damage is less.

First of all, i dont really think any niche character is S. Especially not Faruzan, she is basically Kujo sara, with unreal ER requirements. Yes she can swirl, but you build her for buffing the Anemo dmg itself. B tier.
The only one here above average is Cheverouse, bcs she basically has no drawbacks. Other than that....

Faruzan, needs C6 and tun of ER. B tier

Chevreuse edges Faruzan due to more play options. Gorou and Shenhe do their jobs, on a team you might actually want to play. Yun Kin is mid. Kujou Sara is outright bad unless you have a character (Raiden) who can frontload their damage in the first 4 seconds, and Mika wasn't even an upgrade for Eula.
as Wryo haver Shenhe is most useless character I have. every other option is better.
My Sara at c4 is unusable cos Fichls is just 3 times better. her short buff duration also makes her feel bad to play.
Faruzan is so powerful that any anemo dps is mid or trash without her c6. that will include all future anemo dps which severly limits their teams.
Chevruse is on Faruzan level cos she provides better buffs than KAzuha.

Yep, its kind of sad that Shenhe is a 5* nieche support that is barely better if at all than Ganyu. She was basically designed to be a support at C6.....for a 5* ,that is so bad.
