Insomnium is one of the current best melodic death metal bands and totally underrated IMO. They are great live! Not that technically flawless as other bands of the same genre, but down to earth and the guys really have fun playing live and are super kind. And the guitarist Markus Vanhala plays one of the best melodies in lead guitar out there. Check out his other melodic death metal band Omnium Gatherum for more ;)
Good morning from London, this is a very powerful and emotional song which has so many layers to it. I was shocked at how it made me feel and how it still makes me feel. The changes in speed, their harmonies and his vocals are amazing. Thank you for sharing, have a lovely day.
This is one of my fav "feeling songs". I have lost many people in my life. I have lost my father and mother within years of each other (divorced). Lyrics are interpretive, when I here this I hear about my life without my father the strongest as I did not get to show him me become a man and follow a similar career and if there is an afterlife only then can I show him. It's weird and amazing how music can cause emotions not pin point direct to the subject matter. We all interpret things differently.
Insomnium is like sitting in a rocking chair on a porch during autumn, wrapped in a hot blanket. It is peaceful, warm, comfortable. When my grand mother died 15 years ago mid-october, I remember I was looping their album "Above The Weeping World" over and over again while being studying intensively. I spent the whole winter with Insomnium. They held my head above water, feeling my pain, channeling it in a peaceful manner. IMO, "Above the weeping world" is insomnium's greatest achievement.
One of my favorite bands of all time. Unmatched in balancing sheer beauty with crushing heaviness. Masters of their craft. On your own time sometime y’all should light up some candles, get a beverage of choice and listen to Winter’s Gate all the way through. It’ll be a religious experience.
Music that makes you want to cry and headbang at the same time..... Finnish melancholy at its finest, Insomnium are top tier melodic death metal.

Top 2 along with Be’lakor imo, those bands absolutely never miss
@@puppetmaster8551 and I’ll add Dark Tranquillity, and that pretty much covers it for best/most notable melodeath out there.

Try Insomnium - In the groves of death
Everytime I hear this song now, it reminds me of my father who died this January due to the late effects of Covid. -_-
Sorry for your loss dude, fuck Covid
@@puppetmaster8551 thank you
One Best track from insommnium

Listen to the full album "Heart Like a Grave". That's great.
Insomnium - Heart Like A Grave plays my mother's funeral organ and piano.
One of their best ever songs in my opinion. And I’m a fan from wayyyy back
This is not music this is art at its finest ♡!

You guys made me feel the song almost like I did the first time I listened to it. Thanks guys, have my like.
Finnish melodic death/black metall is just this. Very beatifull but brutal. Eternal Tears of Sorrow would be good band to react to
"my pale morning star" ❤
Finnish melodic death metal at it's best and on the video Finnish nature at it's best.
Y'all need to react to more of Insomumun
Insomnium...
check out one of their older song called, The Elder
It feels like an old Klingon finally getting his chance to reach Stovokor and eagerly preparing to depart this realm in glorious battle and death
Breautiful would be the word, I think
If you loved this one you will cry with Heart Like a Grave, give it a try
Thank you for you lovely reaction - again! If you liked this, please check also this same band´s new Godforsaken -video/song.
Heart like a grace off the same album is one y’all got to check out
Природа Санкт-Петербург! Это рядом ...
Insomnium plays melodic death metal, not death metal! It's not the same genre. :)
Metal beratna
Well kids, welcome to Insomnium. Time to check out their Argent Moon ep!
