Characters were drawn in krita at a canvas resolution of 128x72, weapons were modeled in blockbench, and the background was captured in gzdoom.
some of the sound effects are from halo CE, and some are from community resourced versions of DOOM's original sound library, the rest were created or recorded in audacity.

Had no idea this was going to be a series, but I am fully on board for it. Can't wait to see how this all pans out!

The fact that you drew and animated the doom sprites yourself still shocks me. I cant imagine the amount of time you put into these videos. Keep up the good work!
That little touch with Doomguy's HUD face reflecting him looking around was great.
These videos remind me of what I'd daydream a Doom movie being about when I was a kid. No super oppressive plot, no need for extended character dialogue or speeches or flashbacks. Just the enemy, the next battle, and the path ahead.

People will never understand how amazing it was to play with a buddy the original doom games in community maps, no matter if it was a slaughter map or a serious survival mode.
These animations brought back so many memories that will hardly ever come back.
I love the animation of the characters. Seeing the high res pixel art with the somewhat low res textures of the doom levels brings a strange focus onto the characters.
The rad suit on the greenguy looks ABSOLUTELY RAD, i honestly thought when i saw it in the game that it would look bad on him but nope!
The lack of dialogue and focus on expressions and body language is actually incredible!
By far my favorite series on YT at the time.

Love the attention to detail, like the hud's eyes shifting at 0:29 to the camera movements
0:28 I love how the glancing sprites in the bottom are matched with the directions he's looking in.
Also how it ties in the Portal Trap animation, like you said it would.
There needs to be more doom, animations like this, but at the same time there doesn’t because this is so unique and cool!! keep up the good work
I'd like to see someone try it by rigging cheelos voxel models and then rendering them out as sprites.

Not only does it look amazing but I love the detail of Doomguys seeing the world though the Software Renderer with the vertical distortion

that is a REALLY clever detail to the HUD there, he looks left, we see the doomguy mugshot look left, he looks lright, then the mugshot looks right! That is a REALLY CLEVER attention to details, man! amazing! :D
