Fantastic! Love the farm implements. I have pictures of my grandpa who farmed with horses in Minnesota. My grandparents and parents are Friesian on both sides of my family, except my dads dad who was lower Holland. Loved the presentation!

Found it rather late (today) - enjoyed the "black pearls" so much. It was great and very touching to see the horses and their history. A presentation of the "legend" JASPER 366 would have been the absolute highlight of the show. We watched him so often in the arena - "flying" above the ground. I think he was loved by millions. ❤

That was amazing!! I have come to love all things Friesian, Dutch and most of all Friesian Horses. All because youtube brought me to Friesian Horses & Queen Uniek. Yvonne H has expanded my world past my small town in the states and given me a glimpse of these beautiful creatures from half around the world. I am so grateful.

I could follow the history but it would be nice to have translations to go with it. Friesian horses have become so popular in other countries now that it would be appreciated.
Why do they show with the ponies?
I think it to show and represent the next generation learning the skills needed. Would be my best guess

I cannot understand a word of what he said in the video speech
Great show! Love Frisian horses. However watching the history and the stallions of today, I hope I am wrong, but it looks like show judges are affecting the breeding style just like here in the USA. There is a loss of bone in the legs, strength in the face, it looks like the breed is headed in a direction that looses some of its distinct characteristics. We don’t need anymore ballerinas in the horse world. Strong elegance is beautiful too and should be preserved. 😢

Who IS that in centre...no bridal.....wow!
If you look closer you can see that the horse IS wearing a bridle, the reins are either attached to the saddle or the guys belt, and the horse is continuously opening its month in pain, the reins are too tight for the horse to put its head in a normal ‘on the vertical’ position.
@@fleurtherabbitYou mention it: WHY do they often have to "bite their breast" - that means head BEHIND the vertical? Looks not good/natural to me 😢
@@hansgustaf540 Well the way it ACTUALLY works is that if a horse uses its back right and brings its hindlegs under, its head will naturally go down a bit and sit somewhere on the vertical. But people have started to misunderstand the cause and effect, instead of getting the back legs under, they pull the horse its head down and think that magically will make the horse bring its legs under.
Meanwhile the horse will bow its head further and further back, hoping to get some release from the pressure of the bit.

ik geloof dat er best veel vriendjespolitiek zit bij de keuring , het begint alweer dt er een kind van okkema het opent , en dat zal met keuren ook wel zo zijn
sorry hoor maar als je dan toch gaat doen alsof je paard geen hoofdstel om heeft, doe dan ook geen touwtjes om je middel aan het bit bevestigen. lekker paardvriendelijk dit.
