@@CruisingSunrise just curious about how the whole window system works: if water gets in the frame when the window is down and where that goes. It’s very unique to have this set up. Also curious to hear what it sounds like in the salon when the engines are running. Overall, seems very quiet. Lastly, wasn’t sure if you showed where you keep spare parts like filters. Is there a dedicated space for that?
@@barryholiday8998 The windows are like a car door. The glass does not go though th floor only the actuators which are sealed, there is a water catcher at the bottom that drains to the transom steps. Engine noise inside the saloon under way is between 60 and 70 decibels and almost no vibration . the spares can go on shelves in the engine rooms or on 1 off the 4 shelves that go all the way round the foward lockers. These are huge and could easily be a crew cabin.
We are so happy with the configuration and liveability on the boat. We feel lazy and spoilt but on a overnight crossing we just did it was soooo safe and comfortable it was incredible.
Beautiful yacht. Let us know the good and the bad. I think you mentioned in a previous video a desire to go to Alaska and work your way down to the states. I would make sure that it is done in the warmer time of the year. The non-insulated PEC tubing water lines will freeze.
@@CruisingSunrise I grew up on Puget Sound in Washington State. It can Freeze in November there. Probably need to get to California before freezing isn't a concern.
I am so impressed with Sunrise, she's her own floating little city. What are your crushing plans long term and for 2024? Russ, is there a way you could attach a hose to the bottom of that fish cleaning drain and have it empty directly off the boat? Happy New Year guys
We are going to cruise around South East Asia and then see about heading to Japan. i do have a pipe that goes straight over board but its a bit of a long way and with the size of the fish i catch the big scales may get blocked, haha
I for one would be very concerned about shark bite styled couplings and "T"s and all the plastic piping. Doesn't seem very survivable in a casualty event. Plastic fuel lines, oil lines etc. will melt and it's "FLAME ON" full on Bravo casualty.
disagree, shes most likely running diesel, and its far better to carry a box of plastic fittings and some poly pipe to replace any cracks etc than carrying brass and copper piping etc. i dont think they are shark type usa fittings they look to be screw down pressure fittings which are far superior to the shark style.
Interesting that theres no rubber mats under the genny. I always chuck a bit of the old conveyor belt rubber mattong under my gennys to reduce some of the vibration transfer etc. Maybe that ones good enough to not need it, but mate, shes a full on ship, not some yacht.
She come out really nice guys. Soo happy for you both.
Thanks Ian , we are very happy with it
Don’t know why it took me five months to find this video!! Way to go, she’s a beauty
Thanks Dee
Awesome. The attention to details and convenience is terrific. Please demonstrate how the windows work in the aft cockpit.
will do in up coming video but its basically push a button

Do those rudders cope with single screw? 6knots?
It really is so well thought out!

"Magnificent" doesn't seem adequate of an adjective to describe how awesome she turned out. WOW 😳😳😳😳😳
I definently agree!!!
Luv to see a clip of you zooming past Zatara on the big blue. ha ha.
Ill try to make it happen , he doesnt like coming 2nd though
Very well thought out and tidy looks great 👍🍻
Thank you! Cheers!
Overall a very functional and very comfortable long range cat. Would love to have one.
Right on!
Can another tender, maybe a jetski or a small rib be mounted in the space now used for the kayaks?

Will do , i have been talking to the boat builder about a couple off very small tweaks. We will definently be only going to Alaska in summer.

What a beaut, are you shaft drive?
Yes they are shaft drives
Any chance of a modelled-up 3D, of a Med, Caribbean style cat with an open flybridge 40/48ft range?
They are builing that
Are you guys ok? Haven’t heard from you in a while.
All good , just lost a bit of inspiration . will be back soon
how does one work on those engines i would not volunteer on camera it appears that lots of out of reach equipment to work on but nice yacht.
Looks must be deciving , theres a lot of room . very easy to service
Congratulations it's an amazing vessel. You will be cruising in pure luxury as u navigate the globe. Curious to hear how a long passage goes.
Thanks Jeffrey, there is nothing left wanting thats for sure

Sound level of just 40 decibels
So 4$ a mile roughly?
yes thats somthing like it
