It is interesting to be able to see the koi fish from the side. In Japan big ponds for koi almost always have a lid that covers a part of the pond. Koi fish can rest, sleep, avoid heat etc under those lid. Also rocks provide a good resting place for them too.

But then I start noticing no plants, cover, nothing to forage around in. I hope he decides to add those things. It could still b beautiful and give the koi a better life. I’d love to see a new video with some additions for the koi. That sleek look is just for show. I love to see the environment more geared to nature and what koi would love to thrive in 🙂
100% agree with this. These out ponds look like overgrown fish tanks. If you are outside it would be so much nicer to see them in a natural looking aquas cape. Different strokes for different folks but I’m not a fan of this at all.
Hello Muc, there are a few reasons why the Koi pond mostly are like these in Europe and even in Japan.. Have you even seen a breeder with plants and rocks in there mudponds and Ponds?
Most beautiful? It looks like it was built in minecraft. I worked 10 years in the landscaping business and I can tell you that pond is about as beautiful as a concrete patio, and compared to some of the ponds I've seen let alone worked on it's basically a big tub filled with water.
We All have a different taste, but you need to give so more credits to the owner who build it.. send me Some examples of your work by Instagram. Would love to see it

I would be if I'd built it myself even though I'd probably still kick myself for not making what I'd consider to be the most of the space available. It's not something as simple as just digging a hole in the ground, adding a pump and throwing some fish in there, that's certainly a fact. I just think you are being a tad dishonest calling it the "Worlds most beautiful backyard fish pond". Just look at some of Greg Whitstocks work for comparison. I'd be happy to have one like it in my own back garden, though I'm building one for myself at the minute which will have a fair bit more shape and form to it and while it would be easier for me to build a box shaped pond I'd much rather something a bit more organic in design. As for sharing my work I'd rather not dox myself never mind the fact that I don't use instagram and all my pond photo's were taken on 35mm film anyway. Hell I got out of the landscaping business before instagram was even a thing. In short It's more a criticism of you in how you describe the pond than of the pond or its creator.

It is interesting to be able to see the koi fish from the side. In Japan big ponds for koi almost always have a lid that covers a part of the pond. Koi fish can rest, sleep, avoid heat etc under those lid. Also rocks provide a good resting place for them too.
