Colorado Trail - Arranged by Eduardo Sainz De La Maza

This arrangement has on original introduction composed by Eduardo. The “Colorado Trail” folk melody begins at 56 seconds into the video. Based on an American folk song, “Colorado Trail” is an example of the influences of impressionism and jazz on the music of Eduardo Sainz De La Maza. The score I learned this from is a copy autographed and dedicated to Ricardo Iznaola by Eduardo.
As a native of Colorado, this piece makes me nostalgic when I perform it. Wherever I am in the world, I can close my eyes and see the face of Pikes Peak and remember dear friends and family in the place I always think of as home.
