We have been on a number of Royal Caribbean ships and they are all excellent. May she always sail in smooth calm waters and bring joy to those who sail on her. Shalom
Great video! Has there been any word on if Star of the Seas will have a little bit more gross tonnage than ICON which the final gross tonnage is said to be 248,663 instead of the proposed 250,800. Any word around the shipyard if STAR will be a little closer to the 250,800 gross tons?
I was working on this project for half a year as an electrician for Focus Electro company from Poland. It was amazing and hard experience. There was a lot misunderstoods with Team Electric but at the end "YO, WE MADE IT!"

I moved out of the biggest city in the world 43 years ago. Now its horizontal and floating. Nah too many people in one place for me. I like my mountains.😅
I mean, it's still a modern engineering marvel to build such a large ship and put that many people inside it, but yeah, for me, it's still a glorified floating hotel/shopping center that can be crammed up to the brim! But some people find hotels, shopping centers, and rubbing shoulder to shoulder in corridors exciting, so there's that too!!
@@izzyrov5814 Even if it's not full, it's the experience that I don't feel like paying for! Being inside a ship for so long is not the kind of place I personally associate with either vacation, interesting or fun, which generally fall into 3 categories: -natural places & cultural places (like world heritage sites); -themed places: ski resorts, amusement parks etc. The only kind of cruise experience I could see myself doing is something like descend the Nile river on a small boat; a dozen other people max; and able to stop wherever and whenever I want with no tight schedule... or tour the Mediterranean also in the same kind of conditions: small boat, a dozen other people; able to stop wherever and whenever I want and for how long I want!
Quite a creation - just immense! About seven of the cruise ship I traveled on in September, VIking Octantis. You were never more than five minutes from your cabin! I'd like to see the two side by side for a real comparison. I don't know that Icon of the Seas is my jam but I'm sure she'll be loved and traveled by many!
That monstrosity and allll the others like it are absolutely not true ocean liners. They are only cruise ships. They could never sail across the Atlantic and handle a storm there. Only the Queen Mary II and Queen Elizabeth II & Queen Victoria are genuine ocean liners.
I guess, when I am old and frail, it will be my way of entertaining myself. Until then - backpack, mountains, crampons, ice axe - all the things that make me feel alive!
Why do people always need to announcr that they don't like certain types of holidays? You allways find these comments under videos of cruise ships, holiday resorts.. weird
Amazing how fast she's moving considering her size I saw a documentary on how one of this line was built I forget which one anyway it's nothing short of a miracle of modern engineering
That is true I was in Costa Maya 2 month ago,and my ship was Carnival Celebration (6,000- guess,) there was Wonder of The Seas From RC(6000-)And another ship from MSC maybe (4000)in that small place that was like been in hell, not again #1 the itinerary I can’t stand it any more,Costa Maya-Roatan,Cozumel,the best part is Coco Cay.
Yeah this ship is already pushing the limits... Icon’s funnels are not at their normal height in this video because otherwise the ship would not be able to fit under the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark.
@chemicalgases First one with inlaws. Second one with daughter before she went into Army. Third short to Bahamas, and chose to fly to islands instead after that.

Great filming, thank you. Anything that big draws a lot of attention, and I wish her safe journeys, aways. 😊
Thanks for watching! 😎
Just amazing. Congratulations to all the ship building workers and professionals at Meyer Turku.
😎
They did an incredible spectacular job.
This is beautiful en very huge, congratulations to the engineers
Absolutely grrreat Roope! ❤❤ Thank YOU Turku Mayer ship yard FINLAND. Well built!!!
Im amazed at how small the wake is considering the size and the speed she was moving at
Perhaps the ship's parabolic bow has something to do with it 🤔

Awesome clarity & color with this shoot, very well done!
Thanks! 😎 I used iPhone 14 Pro for filming and iMovie for editing 😄
How can you really relax on that ship? Its like going to disney world for a peaceful day.
She is a beauty! I can't wait to see her in person one day for a family cruise out of Florida!
What a Beauty!!!! It's just impressive! Thanks for sharing this video with us!
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😎
An amazing cruise ship, and a wonderful feat of engineering!!!❤
I disagree. This ship is a waste of the Earth’s resources.
Seen in that perspective, have to admit the truth you highlighted!!!
Absolutely 💯
Its literally unbelivable! As a finn, im so happy that Finland has created something that amazing, because no one really talk about Finland
What a majestic ship. Good work to all that had a hand building a magnificent boat. The BIGGEST & THE BADDEST on the water.
Got my mother booked for May!
Absolutely majestethic
That is not a ship. That is a city cruising on the waters
Effrayant !
Wow beautiful

This is in Finland
Yes made by a German ship builder
A floating Disney World made of a million parts designed to contain 10, 000 people in close quarters- what could possibly go wrong?

Icon, the Great White Wonder. Looking forward to sailing in her.
how many ports will it be able to dock, not many,so just think how long it will take to tender to the shore
And if the Weather is bad you loose your vacation.
Amazing Vessel.
😎
Una verdadera metrópoli flotante. Dimensiones monstruosas..
Holy S--T !!!!!!!
I do wonder how this would stand in a big storm , it looks to top heavy for my liking

Yeah it is a parabolic bow. It is different from other royal caribbean cruise ships 🧐
How will this handle in a storm though? I’d be worried it was top heavy

18 lifeboats (assuming it’s the same number on each side)? Really?
