Honestly Janine’s playing is just so buttery smooth…she plays this perfectly and has amazing articulation and intonation. I love Ray Chen but Janine plays this so well.
Both play well of course but Rays playing is connecting more to the audience while i feel that Janine is more someone to observe - she seems to be in her own bubble, and her playing seems despite being so well like a personell struggle for me.
Your opinion without an explanation is not an argument at all - and all you are doing is making a clown of yourself. P.E.R. stands for Point, Example, Reasoning. I think Ray Chen plays very well since he has exceptional rhythmic control, intonation, and generally harmonizes well with the orchestra, shown by the clear movement and sound pairing with the orchestra. Go back to school.
@LitongLuo Ray cannot play Beethoven, Brahms or Bach properly. He is not at all of the level reached by David Oistrach or Leonid Kogan. He forces the tone and is popular among the uneducated public. And you are the perfect Clown 🤡

Jansens rhythm is so much more alive here. She also seems to be much more at one with her ensemble.
Janine and the cellist are singing to each other its beautiful
Janine and Ray are both amazing! ❤

Janine plays artistically ❤

Ray Chen
ray chen was playing bachata
Yes. The recordings are different unfortunately, I‘d say that Ray Chen got the better intonation
Maria duenas😊
No contest, Ray Chen has the edge and carries the audience with him. A superior musician on every level.
Janine
Both are so good, but I think I think Ray was cleaner
This is not Summer
Yes it is this is the first movement
Ray cannot be compared to Janice Jansen... He is of the lowest level...
