- LNER Class A4 Pacific 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley was the motive power for todays Settle Carlisle Fellsman railtour from Blackpool to Carlisle and return running both ways over the Settle Carlisle line, we first see the Blue Streak from Selside Cottages with eleven on and 57311 in LNWR Black Livery on the rear then later in the day with the return leg from a rather blustery Stockber, hope you enjoy and thanks for watching.

Thanks Idris, sun appeared and disappeared at Stockber when she came through only to appear again but no rain all day which was forecast, cheers 👍
Quality as to be expected Nige , decent exhaust and nice to see no assistance from the rear 👍👍
Thanks Steve, cool enough for some decent exhaust and very little from the rear, cheers 👍
Great video Nige, it was great to see SNG out on the mainline yesterday. I ended up at Lunds and at Armathwaite where I was really lucky with the weather, no sun but also no rain.
Thanks Alistair, a nice change from Tangmere and a great performance from Sir Nigel, it’s a popular spot Lunds, weather ended up better than expected in most places, cheers 👍

Today is the 86th anniversary since sir Nigel gresley’s sister loco mallard broke 126mph and remained unbeaten
And that’s a fantastic sight of sir Nigel gresley to celebrate the anniversary of mallard
Thanks Scott, yes very appropriate that Sir Nigel was running on this famous anniversary of Mallards achievement, cheers 👍
@@nige7577indeed Nigel which is why as I said it’s 86 years since mallard the streamlined loco achieved 126mph on rails
Great video Nige :)
Thanks Simon much appreciated, cheers 👍
Very nice
Thanks Jimmy, cheers 👍

Thanks Philip much appreciated as always, next one should be Sunday’s Waverley, cheers 👍
Very nice. We got a good soaking for the return in absolutely foul conditions at Ais Gill.
Thanks Alan, had thought of Aisgill but glad I didn’t go after hearing you got a good soaking, think that must have been the wettest area in the afternoon, cheers 👍
@@nige7577 I'm just putting up the video now. It was damp! I went there to get a nice long scenic shot of it coming through Mallerstang. It turned out rather different.
@@alangilbertson8239Will have a look now.
Good stuff Nige (if you like streaks!)
Thanks Allan, yes I do like a streak, cheers 👍
Hi Nige,
Where are 'our' Stanier 5MT's?
Loaned out, perhaps?🤭
However, lovely footage of a 'Streak', and 'she' sounds well too. Was never a fan of them, I had a 'soft spot' for the LNE 'workhorses' namely their V2's!
Thanks George, unfortunately Carnforth only have Tangmere and Ian Rileys 44871 which are air braked as Riley’s other 5 45407 is at Fort William, 44871 has been working down south so that’s why we have Tangmere hauling just about everything else for West Coast, nice to see SNG for a change and sounding very nice indeed, still miss Green Arrow though and would be great to see her come out again so one can only hope, cheers nige👍
@nige7577 Sincere thanks Nige for the update... Black 5's once so ubiquitous, eh?
@@Geo46115 You’re very welcome 👍
