We are in our mid 70’s I’m a born Puerto Rican and my husband is Italian and we use to go every year to Puerto Rico and stayed with my sister but now it’s been hard to go there, but by you sharing your videos from there it’s like we are there with you. The town where my dad was born raised. He left at the age of 20. He passed away but before he fore full his dream which was to return by his house and retire.

My parents are Puerto Rican. I was born in New York. I never went to PR until last year and I regret not going. 47yrs old and I now can't get enough of it. I want to go back. Cabo Rojo is where my fiance was born and raised and I can see why she misses it.
I really enjoy watching your videos I used to live in combate Beach in the winter months I left when the coronavirus came and the government turned into little tyrants I hope one day it will go back to normal I will come back there really miss Puerto Rico and the people but the government sucks I had to deal with the government because of my business it's a very difficult place to conduct business especially since I am a gringo
Combate Beach is a great place to live. I stayed there for a few days on vacation with my family for three straight years during the summer. Greetings from snowy NJ.
@@oviduran I spend my summers in New Jersey out of Cape May I have a commercial fishing business there I'm also thinking about going back to Puerto Rico you start another commercial fishing business there again as soon as the covid-19 nonsense goes away
My dad used to have a store there called 123 y mas he was famous also we used to have a cafe giro cafe i think it was called however we dont live there any more

Yep...its an invasive species, brought by pet stores, abandoned by owners. The north side of PR is infested. I just returned from a short trip to PR to attend a funeral....and I saw hundreds of these.
Hey OvI , would love to see you do a nice 20 to 30 minute video driving on a country road in Puerto Rico with your Father's music playing in the back ground , it would be very relaxing .
This was about 7:00 AM on a Sunday morning. Most people are still sleeping. I prefer early because I get up earlier than most people. I wake up at 3:00 AM.

Awesome drone shot, I recognize all the streets you drove by in downtown Cabo Rojo, I grew up a few blocks from the plaza.
It's a nice area. I can see why people love this downtown area. I went early on a Sunday morning and there wasn't much traffic.
I grew up there walked by that plaza after school in the 80's

I don't ever remember seeing iguanas years back when I was in Puerto Rico...it looks like there's an invasion of iguanas now, unbelievable. 🤔
I didn't see any iguanas in Las Marias or San Sebastian. They seem to be concentrated in some areas along the coast only.

I went iguana hunting while I was there with an air rifle you could probably shoot about a hundred of them in a day if you tried in the right areas

Yes, I am. Retired as a Reservist but I also have a lot of active duty time. Still work for the Navy today, but as a Civilian now.
