Yeah do it because I'm guessing kung fu panda 4 is going to be good because all i know who worked on the movie is the lego movie director and the person that made shrek for and that's all i know kind of
I feel like 4 should be about Poh helping Tigress figure out her stuff and in doing that brings back Tailung for a true resolution for his character too.

Kung fu panda for no idea what the villain is going to be but i hope it's good because i will always forget spoilers so no one tell me anything about spoilers.
@@stevelaudro Nope. Most of the family he can get is friends and father(s). It is established by TV Series, Dragon Warrior can fall in love and marry, he automatically losing his DW status.
“Themes” of the Kung Fu Panda trilogy (and also Poe’s Journey) : Part 1 - Body Part 2 - Mind Part 3 - Soul/Spirit Also perfectly reflected in the respective villains: 1) The most skilled Kung Fu warrior 2) The mastermind/schemer with reliance on technology 3) The Master of Chi from the Spirit Realm
I love this trilogy, and how each villain is tied to different characters, Tai Lung is a Shifu creation, Kai is an Oogway associate and Shen is tied to Po
Maybe that’s why Shen was my favorite villain of the three… the direct link to Po, however I think all three villains fit perfectly into the eras of time they fight Po. Tai Lung forced Po to overcome what he thought were weaknesses, Shen forced Po to overcome trauma and accept himself, and finally Kai forced Po to recognize himself for the master he truly became. In a way… it was Shifu’s creation that forged another Shifu creation, it was Po’s darkest enemy that brought him light, and it was Oogway’s rival that made Po the warrior Oogway always saw him as.
I think that's why I feel more connected to Shen and Tai Lung. Shen is directly tied to Po, his biggest scar that'll be engraved with him forever even if he'd beaten Shen. Shen was the only one to actually beat Po both physically and mentally. Tai Lung on the other hand is a self reflection of Po. Both orphans raised up in different environments but having same insecurities, in the end it's their choice that settled their fate. Kai on the other hand is cool but failed to share any dynamic with Po.
@@Tooba-K123 Kai is kinda just a dark reflection of Po in every way, both fat, both are funny, both wanted power, can't let go of past, reconnect with former loved ones etc.

Kai's destruction, explained: The more Chi you give willingly, the more Chi you have. The more Chi you take forcibly, the less Chi you have. Po was being given Chi willingly by an entire village of people. Making him infinitely full of Chi. Then he gave it all to Kai, willingly, becoming an endless Chi font for Kai to take from that would never run dry. Kai, at the same time, was forcibly taking Po's Chi, even while it was being given to him. He was forcibly taking infinite Chi. Which caused him... to have none. And nothing can exist without Chi. So Kai became nothing. He ceased to exist.
I like how if you look closely at Kai's collection of Kung Fu masters he defeated, you will see a quick glimpse of Tai Lung, since he was banished to the Spirit Realm by Po
I like that kai is the only one of the villains to not point out that he is a panda like it's a weakness since he's more wiser than the previous villans
I heard somewhere along the grapevine that KFP1 was about the body (Po physically training to be the dragon warror), KFP2 was about the mind (Po having to deal with the past trauma and genocide of his people), and KFP3 was about the soul (Chi stuff). And these 3 subjects are key to learning martial arts.
Also, each villain is represented by a different element and a different colour: Tai Lung is blue and air, Shen is red and fire, Kai is green and earth. Meanwhile Po is golden and water.
I know a lot of people consider this movie the weakest of the trilogy, but it's my favorite after the second one. J.K. Simmons is incredible as General Kai and his villain theme goes so hard. I love Po's struggle to become a teacher and master chi, the climax is truly epic, and I love how well his biological and adoptive fathers eventually get along so well. That thing Mr. Ping said about how we sometimes "do the wrong things for the right reasons" has always stuck with me.

The little " can you teach me" from Shifu always makes me happy and a little teary. Anyway, someone in reddit said the first movie was about the Body, the 2nd was Mind and the 3rd Spirit. I was hoping they would drop the idea of a 4th one, I do not find it necessary because the last one was enough, even if a lot of people didn't like it much, it has a good ending, full circle and all that jazz.
The guys behind Kung Fu Panda have always said they’ve planned 6 movies, so they’re not going to drop the 4th one. It was always going to come out, just took longer than expected. The first trilogy was about the body, mind, and soul, so they next trilogy will be about something else, probably focusing on Po being the teacher.
If the 4th was redemption of a previous villain it would've been incredible but unfortunately it was redemption, just about someone we didn't really care about. I wanted tai lung to be redeemed, that's would've been full circle.
To you guy's point about the villain, I agree. In fact, I suspect it felt that way because at least to me, it felt like we spent a little more time with the villains just enough to get the perspective of why they hate their former master, or their motivation in general. This villain wanted to steal everyone's Chi, but there was never a moment for us to see his plight of wanting to steal Chi. It just felt like, "cause I can" basically lol I think if there were maybe something that happened to someone he loved losing their Chi, then it would have explained his motivation better than just a generic feeling of jealousy. 🤔
The biggest thing the movie failed to show is the betrayal of Oogway. Kai and Oogway both were warlords. Oogway suddenly turning good and fighting for the victims that he victimized was his turning point. From Kai's perspective this was indeed a big betrayal.
Well, because that's basically it. He just wanted more power and chi because he can; dude's a warlord, he was always evil from the start. Oogway was the one who changed. If there was a motivation to be explained, it's practically just spite.
I have literal tears streaming over my cheeks because of all the emotions this movie has gives me. Thank you for actually reacting to all 3 of them! Loved every reaction!
The third one was purposely made lighter because some parents said the second one was darker. 🙄 2nd is still the best for me, but the 3rd one brings out the “Dragon Warrior” showing Po at his peak (climax) First movie was about body, second one about mind & third about spirit. Fun fact: it is speculated that oogway was actually bad in the beginning just like Kai, the pandas healing him brought him to the good side. Thats why Kai feels so betrayed yet loves oogway (You can see that Kai kept oogway’s chi locket around his neck & never used it)
One thing I've always loved about the Kung Fu Panda series is what the movies focus on: Kung Fu Panda: body, learning kung fu Kung Fu Panda 2: mind, learning where you came and dealing with trauma Kung Fu Panda 3: spirit, learning who you are and connecting with your spiritual side Obviously there are more themes for the movies, but overall this is what I, among many others see.
Folks say this the weakest of the 3 and I honestly don't agree. It's more storytelling and exploring of Po and comes full circle with who he's meant to be. Its not so much about the villain in this & more about family and community. Love this trilogy. Thanks for reacting. I think the reason Oogaway is around his neck is because he still sees Oogway as his brother but also as something to show off. Everyone else is around his waist cause he doesn't care for them and uses them. He never uses Oogway in that way. 22:45 this reaction is soo cute you guys 😊😊
What's great about this triolgy is that Po masters something in each movie. In the first movie, Po mastered his body. In the second movie, Po mastered his mind. In the third movie, Po mastered his spirit.
I love this film. Its personally my favorite of the series, though I understand why most fans consider is the weakest of the trilogy, but I think its fantastic. I'm really curious what they are gonna do with the 4th one, because the trilogy feels so thematically perfect with the first one being about the body, second the mind, and third the spirit, so I'm not sure how they are gonna continue that, but I certainly hope they will do it well.
Fun fact there was some retooling and recasting done for this movie. Originally Mad Mickelson was cast as the villain (which at the time was unspecified) but when they retooled the plot he couldn't come back in to do the VO so JK came in to replace him.
Something i found was that all 3 movies really depicted oogway’s quote in first movie ‘one often meets his destiny on the path to avoid it’ in one way or other.
You should definitely check out the 'Kung Fu Panda Holiday' (2010) special. It's a 25min short that fits in seamlessly with the movies (between the 1st and 2nd ones).
I'm curious about the next movie too. As much as many fans would've liked for Po and Tigress to get together, I think there'd be an even bigger backlash against it, because it's really unique how this franchise is allowed to exist without romance and it'd be a pity to lose it. Chinese martial arts movies/dramas aren't usually very heavy handed with romance either unless they're specifically telling tales of lovers. If anything, the closest we're getting to hinted lovers in Kung Fu Panda are probably Oogway and Kai since they're introduced as sworn brothers and that phrase can go many ways LOL Definitely think Po would instead be adopting some stray kid as disciple rather than having his own kids in another sequel. Maybe an actual dragon kid?
I think Kung Fu Panda 4 would get context from the show after Kung Fu Panda series. They've been releasing shorts and series after each movie. :) It shows the origins of the warriors, what happened to Po's dragon warrior figures, Po getting students, and stories of the other characters.
Bryan Cranston as the voice of the father is just awesome. Billy Cranston the character from MMPR was paying homage to Bryan Cranston. Cranston did voice work on MMPR and appeared in the 90s The Flash tv show appearing as a bad guy.
Kung Fu Panda 4 is about Po looking for a successor to become the new Dragon Warrior also the antagonist is called, The Chameleon, and they the ability to bring back the villains that Po has defeated in the past
A pretty well known pattern that makes this trilogy feel connected and balanced Kung Fu Panda 1: *Body* Kung Fu Panda 2: *Mind* Kung Fu Panda 3: *Spirit*
God damn! The animation throughout the movies has gotten so much more beautiful. It's the same with How To Train Your Dragon, the animation is heavily improved as the movies go on. I love these reactions!!!!
These videos are honestly some of my favorite content on YT. One of the things i LOVE to do is rewatch some of my favorite movies and series with family and friends, so I can watch their reactions 😅 so these are awesome! I watched Evil Dead Rise recently and right after that I watched your reactions 😊 Keep up the good work, guys ✌️
Tigress is my favorite character since the first movie. I really like her friendship with Po although it seems like the writers teased a possible romance between them, at least a little.
Hans Zimmer composed the score for this film and the first two Kung Fu Panda movies along side John Powell! John Powell also did the score for How to Train Your Dragon and Pan, while Hans Zimmer has done masterpieces such as Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lion King! When you get two musical geniuses like this to collaborate on your movie, you know you're gonna get something epic!
I feel like the third movie is one of those cases where the villain is better than the movie. The first time I watched it I had high expectations due to the tones and gravity of the first two films, but I was kind of let down. I can safely give this a 6/10 for me anyway. And props to Jk Simmons and Bryan Cranston for their roles in this one
This is the return of the jedi of the trilogy for me. It’s a fun time, not particularly the best of the three but feels like a good resolution. Plus they have a fight scene with cute hairy animals.
Since they had a much longer time to think on how they want this franchise to continue, I personally look very much forward to Kung Fu Panda 4. If they take what they started with the first, take what made the second brilliant, and think on why this movie didn't do as well, then the fourth movie should be amazing.
I heard the best description of the three movies. They are about discovering and becoming comfortable with self. Movie 1 is focused on most, movie 2 focuses on mind, movie 3 focuses on spirit. Thus mind body and spirit combines to Po fully finding himself.
I think what made the first two Kung Fu Panda movies strong was villain motivations; Tai Lung was brought up with a particular vision of achievement pushed through his father figure Master Shifu. Tai Lung was the exact mirror of Po in many ways. Tai Lung was an adopted orphan raised on Kung Fu. Po was an adopted orphan who had great admiration for Kung Fu. However, after years of training from both Po and Tai Lung, the differences was their attachment to self worth. Tai Lung was always showered with praise and felt that the title of Dragon Warrior was his right for all he had done, but also thought himself special and above others. Po was constantly in contention with whether he was worthy of anything, and was happy to sit on the sidelines until fate ushered him otherwise. Lord Shen had a natural penchant for violence and destruction, but due to his parents disapproval, he became resentful of others, paranoid of his future and possible betrayal. After Lord Shen discovered his future defeat from a prophecy he should never have heard, he attempted to slaughter all Pandas in the valley. Lord Shen's relationship with Po could have become a story of vengeance, but even in his defeat, Po only wanted peace when all Shen wanted was war. What could have bolstered Kai in this movie could have been a combination of vengeance, betrayal and pride. Kai and Oogway were generals, brothers in arms. After losing their last battle with his friend heavily wounded, Kai might have saught a way to defeat his enemies through the power of Chi - a story of retaliation maybe - but after discovering it's potential, maybe his pride would have seen himself as the best judge of good over evil. After witnessing Kai's spiral, Oogway would banish Kai to the Spirit realm. Betrayal by Oogway might have even progressed his thoughts - that when a friend like Oogway betrays him that there is no such thing as good and evil - but that the rule is that all there is the weak and the strong - but the real underlying motivation is vengeance. I can see how that could be difficult to adapt, especially when trying to bridge the story so it can be enjoyed by the whole family and it might take a darker tone. I also can see how it would distract from all the other dynamics between Po, Lee and Ping. In a movie that's now made a precedent with 2 previous movies, you've now limited the run time so of course those kind of bits are lost. I still like Kung Fu Panda 3 and I don't think it's bad, but I think writers had to make very difficult choices with their limited run time. In the process, underwriting Kai would probably be my only criticism.
These were all great videos. I loved getting to see your reactions and hear your thoughts on these three amazing movies. Also Kai’s theme may be the best animated villain theme ever.
When I saw them sneding their chi to PO I couldn't stop crying. It was so moving and deep. Then again in my VR when I saw it I didn't want to miss that scene again but it was in 3D
For all the storylines that they wanted to cover, the movie actually could have done WAY better if the runtime was 2 hours instead of the usual 1 hr 35 mins of the previous two. Having another half hour to set up Kai as a bigger threat and a bit more depth in the conversations between Po and Lee about their past in the first half could have potentially raised the stakes a little more and elevated the movie to a much higher level.
first KFP: Po learns to accept his body second KFP: Po learns to be a peace with his mind third KFP: Po learns bout his spirit the goal of Kung fu is to balance Body, mind and spirit, beautiful. aldo i would love a movie bout Kai and oogway as brothers in arms
6:00 the music for Kai is actually from a song called I'm so sorry by Imagine Dragons, it's highly inspired, it makes me believe the composers of this or the directions are Imagine Dragons fans lmao, you will see what i mean if you listen to it and compare it to Kai's theme
Thank you for getting to Kung Fu Panda 3! Every since i watched you both enjoy the first one i wanted you to see the next one right away. Are you going to watch the how to train a dragon series next?

Holly: He's dead, Dave, everybody is dead, everybody is dead, Dave. Lister: Wait. Are you trying to tell me everybody's dead? - Red Dwarf - a British tv scifi/comedy
The first one is about mastery of the body. The second one is about mastery of the mind. The third one is about mastery of the soul. Honestly, this is a very powerful movie for me. The whole sense of figuring out who you are, and how to be your best self, rather than the you that others demand that you be... resonates very strongly for me. The ending always makes me tear up, and I've got zero shame in admitting that XD
35:31 *me a german raises right hand without thinking about it*. *me lowers arm in 0.00025 sec after my realisation kicks in and my inner voice says "we dont do this anymore" xD*
I honestly cannot wait for the 4th movie. With KFP4 I hope he really becomes the master as he finds the new dragon warrior and honestly cannot wait for all the villains to return!
The first one is about po becoming stronger physically, the second one is about po becoming stronger emocianally and the third one is about po becoming stronger spiritually

Something i found was that all 3 movies really depicted oogway’s quote in first movie ‘one often meets his destiny on the path to avoid it’ in one way or other.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciate the beauty of Kung Fu Panda.
Kai’s theme is remixed from Imagine Dragon’s “I’m So Sorry”.
YESS!!! We're apparently getting 4 next year so glad you guys caught up on the trilogy🙏
Kung Fu Panda 4 is about Po looking for a successor to become the new Dragon Warrior also the antagonist is called, The Chameleon, and they the ability to bring back the villains that Po has defeated in the past
A pretty well known pattern that makes this trilogy feel connected and balanced
Kung Fu Panda 1: *Body*
Kung Fu Panda 2: *Mind*
Kung Fu Panda 3: *Spirit*
I think that music for Kai that you love is a remix of Imagine Dragon's "I'm So Sorry". Which is one of their best songs btw.
Fun fact: Kai the villain his theme song is a Imagine dragon song called I’m so sorry
God damn! The animation throughout the movies has gotten so much more beautiful. It's the same with How To Train Your Dragon, the animation is heavily improved as the movies go on. I love these reactions!!!!
I remember the show being much more younger audience-oriented. I wonder if that played into the younger feel of the third film.
The show was great too
That's what I was thinking. The 3rd one gives me the same vibes as the tv show. Such a big shift in amtmosphere between the second and third one.
When i first saw this movie in theatres, i was GOING to facepalm when they didn't recognize each other, but the crowd at Ping's beat me to it.
For those who didn't know Kai's theme song is a take from imagine dragons "I'm so sorry" song
These videos are honestly some of my favorite content on YT. One of the things i LOVE to do is rewatch some of my favorite movies and series with family and friends, so I can watch their reactions 😅 so these are awesome! I watched Evil Dead Rise recently and right after that I watched your reactions 😊
Keep up the good work, guys ✌️
Fun fact, in kai's belt u can see Tai Lung as one of the people who's chi he's captured
Tigress is my favorite character since the first movie. I really like her friendship with Po although it seems like the writers teased a possible romance between them, at least a little.
“You wanna spare me? How bout you spare me the chit-chat?” 😂
Really enjoyed revisiting these movies with you guys
Fun fact about Kai's leitmotif:
It's actually based on, and credited to, a song by Imagine Dragons called "I'm So Sorry".
Wanted to see if anyone else knew and had said it, but I guess I didn't scroll down far enough.
In my opinion Tai Lung is the best character in my opinion and Poe is second but I’m glad you are watching this and Kung Fu Panda 4 is coming out 2024
Yeah I really like tai lung aswell, so glad he's returning in the 4th movie.
*Po
Subtitles: „You want my cheese so bad? Take it“
That would have been a completely different movie
The soundtrack was based on imagine dragon's "i'm so sorry" and it feels so powerful and threatening with the chinese orchestra
Coy’s shirt got me thinking he just watched the McGregor Forever documentary 🤣
YES! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TWO TO REACT TO THIS!
By the time it comes out, they would’ve spent nearly a decade since the last one. I think KFP4 could end up being a sleeper hit like Puss in Boots 2.
I heard the best description of the three movies. They are about discovering and becoming comfortable with self. Movie 1 is focused on most, movie 2 focuses on mind, movie 3 focuses on spirit.
Thus mind body and spirit combines to Po fully finding himself.
Tai Lung - Connected to Shifu
Lord Shen - Connected to Po
Kai - Connected to Oogway
I think what made the first two Kung Fu Panda movies strong was villain motivations;
Tai Lung was brought up with a particular vision of achievement pushed through his father figure Master Shifu.
I like Kai as a villain so he’s kinda at the same level as Tai Lung for me but so far Shen is my favourite villain because of how menacing he was
These were all great videos. I loved getting to see your reactions and hear your thoughts on these three amazing movies. Also Kai’s theme may be the best animated villain theme ever.
LETS GOO, I was just thinking of when you guys would upload this 😂
“Who knows? I’ve never tried!” Is my favorite line in the movie.
It’s very dumbledore-esk.
When I saw them sneding their chi to PO I couldn't stop crying. It was so moving and deep. Then again in my VR when I saw it I didn't want to miss that scene again but it was in 3D
I love how the initials of both their t-shirts are SBG
out of all the kung fu pandas this one has the best music imo
The 3 movies are about Po mastering the body mind and spirit.
The fourth is gonna be about Po fighting the chameleon. Who can summon villains from Po’s past. Also mentions him leaving the valley for the big city.
"How To Train Your Dragon" trilogy next PLEASE! Another masterpiece from DreamWorks!
first KFP: Po learns to accept his body
second KFP: Po learns to be a peace with his mind
third KFP: Po learns bout his spirit
the goal of Kung fu is to balance Body, mind and spirit, beautiful.
aldo i would love a movie bout Kai and oogway as brothers in arms
6:00 the music for Kai is actually from a song called I'm so sorry by Imagine Dragons, it's highly inspired, it makes me believe the composers of this or the directions are Imagine Dragons fans lmao, you will see what i mean if you listen to it and compare it to Kai's theme
Master Oogway might be able to come back from the dead whenever he wants, he just never tried
This was one of the best lines of wisdom I've ever heard
What a Great franchise!!! Happy you enjoyed reacting to it
😊
This was also around the time of the Kung-Fu Panda animated tv show was airing on Nickelodeon
Man i really love kai's theme and his blades
Yess! I've been waiting, can't wait to watch your guys reaction!
Kai is my favorite Kung Fu panda villain this movie🐃💚🐼 sure can't wait to see what the next villain will be kung fu panda 4 !!!
Heard that it will be a Chameleon & past 3 movies will also be returning.
Thank you for getting to Kung Fu Panda 3! Every since i watched you both enjoy the first one i wanted you to see the next one right away. Are you going to watch the how to train a dragon series next?
Most of Angelina’s kids did voice work for this 😊
kai is one of my favourite villains ever!
Good news guys, Kung fu panda 4 is on the way
Fun Fact: Kais theme is actually taken from Imagine Dragon's "Im So Sorry"
I believe these movies got so popular in China that this 3rd one was the first animated movie to actually change the lip flaps to match the language.
20:34 - You talked about J.K. Simmons could have been the dad in this movie with the same voice. I just remembered that he was the dad in Invincible haha
If you havent seen it, the HTTYD trilogy is amazing aswell! would love to see it on the channel! Great to watch the movies with you guys!
Holly: He's dead, Dave, everybody is dead, everybody is dead, Dave. Lister: Wait. Are you trying to tell me everybody's dead? - Red Dwarf - a British tv scifi/comedy
Kai’s theme is a 100/10 it’s amazing
One of the best trilogies, it’s so consistent and awesome
In po’s dream he voiced both both his father AND even his mother, because it was a dream so the voices were jackblack
YES. This is exactly what I needed today.😂 I've loved watching you guys discover your love for it, while I rediscover mine.😁😁
Tigress's backstory is explained in the amazon prime animated series iirc if you want more information about that
35:31 *me a german raises right hand without thinking about it*. *me lowers arm in 0.00025 sec after my realisation kicks in and my inner voice says "we dont do this anymore" xD*
Next is definitely how to train your dragon Trilogy the best animated score ever made was born
Can't wait for you guys to do treasure planet and hunchback of Notre Dame from Disney!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩😁😁😁😎
I honestly cannot wait for the 4th movie. With KFP4 I hope he really becomes the master as he finds the new dragon warrior and honestly cannot wait for all the villains to return!
18:47 . Same here, also my favorite score in the trilogy. You can never go wrong with Hans Zimmer.
These videos are great I wish I had people who would watch all this stuff with me
The first one is about po becoming stronger physically, the second one is about po becoming stronger emocianally and the third one is about po becoming stronger spiritually
