Best young viola soloist I've ever heard... come to think of it, probably the only one I've heard. She does an incredible job... but I can't wait to hear her once she's older and can handle the instrument with less difficulty (It looks like it's a 15.5" compared to the violas in the orchestra, and even then it seems like a stretch for her arm). Keep up the good work!
Wow! You are totally amazing! I'm 27 and just now taking up the viola, it's good to be humbled by what someone so young can achieve! Inspiring, keep up the great work!!
Que sorprendente! Estoy estudiando el concierto para un concurso y me topo con este trabajo! Para tu edad, el trabajo es fantastico! Y tu sonido pequeña, MONUMENTAL!!!
I have been playing viola for 4 years and am talking violin (7) years I started playing this piece about 4 weeks ago. No where near how good you sound. Preparing it for an audition
XLR8xMoTiVation 1. hours and hours and hours of practise 2. loving it. No 10 year old kid plays that well because their parents made them do it! You don't play with that much musicality and technique because you have a good instrument, that comes from the musician. You reckon Mozart was as good as he was at 10 because his parents were...? Hmm.
She's flat through the whole thing because she didn't tune to the orchestra, what a shame. Nice technique for that age, but she needs to learn the style of the piece, should be lighter and not as harsh.
Hyoung Jun Kim I'm not racist. I said that because countries like Korea and China improve their children in culture and make them to improve in their abilities. I mean, I'm sorry to say if she is chinesse, so she is korean. I wrote this comment because it's normal to see asiatic people from Japan,Korea or China with wonderful abilities. Maybe they are good at it, but their nation improves them a lot, so that's not a susprise. This is great, because in countries like the mine, Spain, if you are musician, they don't care about it, you have to pay your musicians' travels, for example. So, that comment was wrotten because is not a surprise to see very young people from these countries with a big ability in music, or in sports...
Señorita Alfaro Your still stereotypical... Not EVERYONE from China/Japan/Korea are talented. Not ALL Chinese/Japanese/Korean people are talented. ~I agree that the Asian culture CAN be more strict on its following and new generations of people though
Señorita Alfaro The "normal" you say is the stereotype that a lot of people have gotten used to. The stereotype where all Asians are omniscient or the "better" of all people.
내가 젤 조아하는 비올라 협주곡, 모짜르트랑 분위기 마~니 흡사해 조아함, 잘 켜네여~

I wish I were that good!! I'm 16 now, been playing viola since 5th grade but nowhere near as awesome as this :( Fantastic performance! :)

She's so inspiring and cute! :-)
this was a pure performance
it is wonderful
Really nice playing-- very clean and pleasant-sounding execution.
This is viola playing it its best. As a profi player, I am stunned.

Goddamnit not another child prodigy, how do you even get that sound on a tiny instrument
what version is this? it's different from the one I'm working on..and I like this one better...
How old are
i just shit my pants
How can mastery at such a young age be explained?
2 reasons:
1. An amazing viola
2. Asian parents
XLR8xMoTiVation Don't forget lots of hard work too...

XLR8xMoTiVation Amen.
Immersion.
She sure like to hold up her left pinkie finger. Great performance though.
I bet the violists in the orchestra are feeling really inadequate....
How old is she?
Justin Yi She was 10 at that time, now she is 16.
viola haesuelee thank you
