When 60 years of singing and playing transfers over to a million tears and the fans all preying. It was a long time coming and gonna be a long time gone but much like Garcia, where will we go for the song?
Hey Rock Star, we miss you already, and like any good captain, you kept the ship steady.
Even at the darkest of times, in the worst of life’s storms, you taught us all to sing together
as you sailed towards the dawn.
You left ripples of music in our brain, and gave us all traction in the rain. You taught us that music is love, and with a triad of doves, you flew high with the burrito byrds above.
You made the world a better place with a 12 string guitar and your angelic face. You never really needed the cash as much as that really awesome mustache. It was your smile and your style that we all loved so much and the way you sang that was the perfect touch.
Nothing left to say except thank you my friend. We’re gonna keep your music alive to the very end.

No one can say unequivocally ‘Neil didn’t love David’ because they hadn’t spoken in years. People can love from a distance, especially when you’re talking about complicated, volatile relationships. By staying away and removing yourself from it, you remember the good/ great times about the person. RIP David

Living in the Bay Area in the 70s was such a heavenly exposure of the best music, with billings of soul feeding bands playing in intimate little clubs for $3 like the “Keystone “ in Berkeley, or Winterland concerts. In 75, at Kezar stadium, for $5 ,the SNACK benefit concert, we saw Neil YOUNG, Santana, the Dead, Starship,Tower of Power, Dylan, and a bunch of great bands with Marlon Brando and Willy Mays speaking. A day in the green shows at Oakland coliseum had every top billing band I can think of (with CSNY) And many many top billing bands. Free concerts at Golden Gate Park, always something great happening. CSNY music was such a part of the scene , the legacy of their music lives on forever. They were an integral part of our youth and history, and those great songs hold their own today.Such a blessed gift to humanity.
