I never imagined someone would breakdown this song and do such a thorough lesson, so I'm extremely happy to see this. Thank you so much.
Ah man, that's really cool to hear- thank you!
@@RichardWatson +1, we take it for granted that amazing work is out there, seemingly for free. Thank you!

true deep dive, what a clear insightful take on what was going on 👍
Thank you Richard for taking the time to do this. You explain it in a very pleasant and clear way. This song (and the entire album) is an absolute gem.
Thank you, Robert- that's really great to hear. And absolutely! It's killer from start to finish!

Thanks for that well explained and insightful tutorial. And thank you for not tuning down your guitar a semi tone (for this lesson), it saved me a lot of time 😉
Awesome..!
My pleasure! I'm really glad you found it useful!
Thanks from Spain!!! Great lesson!
Thanks David!
More of these please and thank you!
Wonderful to see this Richard anything from Tales from the Bulge is a treat!:-) Please do more from this album :-)
100%, man!
I started out looking for a video showing how to play "I'm Buzzed" to take the work out of having to transcribe it myself. Found this video and got so much more. Thanks! and subscribed.
Ah thank you, John! That's great to hear!
This was a true teaching for me Richard!! Thank you for taking the time to show this. It really opened me up to some voicing that I’ve always wanted to dive into. I’ll definitely be watching your channel more intensely!
Thank you! I'm stoked you got something out of it!
awesome.. I remember the first time I heard this back in the mid 90s.. a guy sent me the CD that I was friend's with on one of the guitar forums.. Instant fan. Seen him twice in Austin. It's such a cool track and love the tone and playing of course.
A treasure You're
Thank you .
Thank you, man!
Man this is awesome ! Thank you so much for the walk through, it helped me so much to dig deeper, especially that last bridge section🙏
Glad to hear it, Cal! Thanks for the nice comment!
Such a great tune! Superbly dissected 🤓! Thank you for the additional theoretical information about naming chord extensions as well 🙏🏻
You're very welcome! Thanks!
Great video! Thank you for this. I have a Reverend that I love as well. Its the Eastsider Pete Anderson S. Great company.
Thanks Chris! They are killer guitars!
Practised it all afternoon, can now kind of play some of it... at 50% speed in Guitar Rig 6 along with the original 😁 - so much fun! Thanks Richard!
Great to hear, Daniel!
Great dive in dude! Like how you grouped everything and made some very clear content.
Thanks a lot, man!
Thanks for the lesson. Please do more lessons from "Tales From the Bulge"
Absolutely, man!
Excellent work, Richard. Thanks so much for doing this.
Thanks Roy! My pleasure, man!
Great job on this! Funny enough, this week I'm studying two albums ( one is Jeff Beck's " Wired, " another outstanding guitar oriented disc ) and Landau's " Bulge " disc. Thanks for the instruction, especially on the breakdown chords before the verses. I actually had the awesome opportunity to see/talk to Landau years ago in Folsom, California. Very nice man.
Two killer albums! And yeah man, he's the nicest! I very tentatively thanked him for an amazing show after seeing him at The Baked Potato when I visited L.A... every fibre of my being wanted to ask him for a photo but he's such a chill, private person that I managed to restrain myself!
hahaha... did not hear anything from you playing but the the thumbs up was already clicked! For sure I will love it! ;) Still enjoying to watch!
Haha! Thanks man!
Richard. This is as good as it gets for me maestro. The background story is a lovely touch. I could watch you play all day. I wish I had got a Tyler strat now. Brilliant lesson and I am going to spend time with this. Are the profiles your using available on the Kemper forum for free download? If not, how do I grab those profiles brother. Love the tone. The garden will have to wait now lol. Bravo 🔥 🔥 🙏 🙏 🤘
Thank you, brother! I really appreciate that. Re: profiles - I use a mixture of Michael Britt stuff and a couple of Big Hairy Profiles (I find that I end up tweaking the latter quite a lot though). I might do a tutorial on these kinda sounds soon!
@@RichardWatson Thank you for te reply Richard. I have the Huff pack from BHP also Guido burgenstock Luke profiles and the Italian guy I can’t quite remember at this moment. All of which have a great d tune tri chorus flow. I also have a fantastic Pettrucci delay choice patch that may do the job. I’m more than happy to share with you. Your ideas distract me from day to day chores etc. Brilliant. There is still metal fatigue. Blew my socks off. Chord voicings are insane. You have the Ammo I’m signing up !!
Such great lesson content! Great Videos RW!
Thanks Josh! I appreciate that!
Thank you for opening people's minds ! Chynna and this one are my favorite of Michael..Great lesson ! ( Tabs ?)
Cool to see someone playing a Reverend.
I like your videos. Thank you
Thank you!
Superb!
Thanks for the lesson Rich, lots to digest. Much appreciated. Glad the lil wave lives, hope you didn't get stiffed on duty too much, wish they had a UK dealer.
Thank you, Peter!
Question: Do you have your own band? Would love to see you playing in a band.
I do! I have my solo project called G H O S T S (if you search for G H O S T S An Ending on Spotify you'll find the album) and I play for another band called Black Sky Research. Be warned though, neither are very 80's!
From the man himself: ruclips.net/video/s4NStbAUWvU/видео.html Not any easy song to work out by ear, but you might want to check the link I posted, as there are some things you'll want to hear Landau explain and play.
Hey man! Yeah I'm super familiar with that video- it's awesome! The main difference is that Mike plays "I'm Buzzed" differently live than he did in the studio (TFTB era). The live version is kinda a consolidation of the studio parts, I guess so that it sounds sufficiently "big" with one guitar! But that's why this is a little different to Mike's lesson.
Wow. Ml
Killer lesson Richard ...
What delay type n time n repeats you using ... ?
Ah thank you, man! This was just a Kemper delay. My guess is a 1/4 note at around 120BPM, probably about 4 repeats with some low and high end rolled off.
@@RichardWatson cheers Richard - Im rehearsing today - but your lesson and associated scale n interval advice are my homework for the forthcoming week - many many thanks ..
@@jmp-es1gv My pleasure, man- great to hear!
🙏
Thanks, my friend!
