Is the difference between the Dynamic and the Artistic the timing to start turning upper body so that forward movement of the Dynamic style gives audience more dynamism? The head movements of the partner are adding more or less artistic impression.
Hi. This is fascinating. The difference between classic and dynamic is fairly clear. But I must admit I'm struggling a bit to see the difference between dynamic and artistic. It would be very helpful to have a few words of explanation. There seems to be a subtle difference in the lady's head movements, but should I be looking at something else. I'm an experienced dancer at pre-champ level, and I'm aware that appreciating the subtleties, even on just 1,2,3 of the natural turn could very well help all my dancing Many thanks for the video.
Agreed, dynamic/artistic is hard to pinpoint. To my eyes, I feel like dynamic plays with the timing slightly. It kind of looks like dynamic is more slowly and more intentionally shifting the weight from one foot to the next, and that almost gives it a delayed look. Secondly, from the side view I think there's slightly more sway development in dynamic than artistic
Thank you 👍👍
