Again... What a MASTERCLASS from Ajay! Don't worry Ajay, I can assure you that the changes in us are not mere 10% when there's people like you and Amit to convince us! On a wholly different note, isn't Ajay looking badass in that haircut!
Great talk, just like always. The last 15 mins by Mr. Shah, though, were just PURE GOLD. That is essence of wisdom distilled in the furnace of life. No book can give that, but only a life well lived. I'm lucky to be able to virtually sit across and hear this firsthand. Thank you!
Every episode contains the seeds of another episode. The asides are so interesting. In this one, the whole thing about extracting data through satellite imagery is just so fascinating. Also, there are always so many quotables. Without data, "... the guy with the biggest megaphone will win. And generally, the modern world is structured so that the worst guy has the megaphone so you will surely have wrong impressions. so what is common knowledge is generally wrong. Anything that is loudly stated by all famous people is wrong. Fame is a curse. It interferes with information" The 'pipeline' framework is so helpful.
In today's deeply polarized world, we should heed Mr. Ajay Shah's words about not smashing our heads to pulp, but gently seeking to persuade in an atmosphere of trust. How beautifully he has articulated the steps to dealing with important issues.🙏
This is such an inspiring episode! The acceptance of reality and the doing of one's duty regardless of that reality. It's easier said than done, of course, but it's clearly the only path to take.
What a cogent talk Ajay! While listening, I kept correlating with the way India is designing & implementing changes these days. I ended up with still lesser hair on my head thought I think I became wiser.
Those last 15 minutes ....zindagi ka saar. Thank you Ajay and Amit for yet another fantastic episode. What's written on Amit's tee? I missed it when Amit mentioned...
Amit you are a people collector and connector. And you have this characteristic that you make us readers feel that we are a part of this connected group. Of course dimwits like me are not even worth being a fly on the wall. Still, just to be able to see this exchange is such a positive part of my existence now. Endless gratitude to you Amit and mad respect to Ajay sir. That dapper shirt of Ajay sir is just ❤
Excited to hear both of you discuss the power of sat imagery, look forward to an episode on this :) And on a different note, an episode on the marine sector of India please !
Thank you for this. You and Ajay Shah give me hope. The 10% shift was such an important lesson. Lots of love to both of you. I’m finding it harder and harder to find the space of truth and trust in conversations. And such people in my life who can and want to deeply engage with the world are far and few. Conversations have been replaced by likes on social media and birthday wishes
This is one of the most powerful videos that I’ve seen in a long time..I work in the ‘field of action’ and it often gets very frustrating to stick around. Thanks for this!
@@ajayshah5705I once bought a USB fan from Amazon, 2021, that had a made in India logo on the product page. After the product was delivered, I checked carefully and realised the packaging was made in India. The actual item (small print) was made in China.
Aaah, you’re forcing me to recall a conversation I had with my mother recently. I am lucky to be that guy who found a ticket out, but family decides to stay. That sense of guilt and being trapped at the same time is an everyday lament. Ajay you inspire, but it ain’t enough. The every day evidence is exhausting.
Can you please make a video about what is derivatives market and hedge funds and how ed thorp and few others broke the market, I want Ajay Shah's opinion on these topics
My god, what an episode. The hairs on my head, not just on my arm, were standing up at the end. So quotable also. "Data data everywhere, but not a thought to think." at 03:00 , the fact that winning world cup/medal getting owned by entire nation and the enthusiasm and euphoria around it creates incentive for the right people to enter the field and pushes next generation and existing ones to train and work harder to excel. @@ajayshah5705 well that's an interesting argument but then this too is a fact that Russians flooded the Chess tournaments thanks to the Russian state it was at the time. The involvement or the credit over individual/team achievemet that the state commands really depends on the point of time and condition the state is in. India probably is still in the time where it seems like state and people are very connected. I'm not sure if an omnibus view helps in this case.
@@hrishia.jadhav3073 Yes, in the case of the Soviet Union (or the PRC) excellence in sports was obtained through the state. But the US government had nothing to do with the rise of Fischer or Caruana, and the Indian state had nothing to do with the rise of Anand or Pragg. India is not at a time where the Indian state matters too much for the achievements of the people. Look around you. Who do you admire? Amit do a episode on Climate Change
+1, do cover the misinformation that harmed the cause. There are several payed studies which claimed the climate change to be cyclical and unalarming.
Strongly second this..
Strongly thirding this
Fourth... Strongly
Fifth this

The half unstuck Make in India sticker on Ajay's crutches is sending a subliminal message. Wonder what it is.🤔
Feel better.
When a firm says Make in India, it probably means the crutches are made in China.

Amit - pl consider an episode about the car industry in india. With some focus on the 4 metre rule, older diesel cars, etc
Thanks
Why do I love this podcast?..Cuz I'm a bangali and a statistician..
Its a masterclass on the subject each episode, I lack words to praise you both... 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Guys take a shot on recent HCES report.
Its not about market failures alone, societal failures matter too
Ajay sir please do pos on behavioural econ nudging
Am here. Yep. I cannot stop myself from commenting midway. My road to change is not just slow, it is treacherous.
Please do an episode on GDP and the state of India's GDP data sources (how reliable and authentic they are).
I am very scared of the day this podcast will end. That will be a very sad day.
Makes sense
The pachka jokes never stop
This was an inspiring episode!! Thanks!!
Hey amit, Do a video with Jp Narayan

make video about ai and how will it shape our society
There is one.
Can you please make a video about what is derivatives market and hedge funds and how ed thorp and few others broke the market, I want Ajay Shah's opinion on these topics
Please do a series on travelogue of explorer who came to india pre 18th century
Ajay subtlety promoting make in India 😂
Looks there has been a half hearted attempt to remove the sticker. 😆
The fact that the vendor is saying Make in India and not Made in India makes me suspect the crutches are imported.

Is the incentive and excitement any inferior in teams (Man U) where the word country is kept out.
Safety is very much the achievement or failure of the state. So there the attribution is correct.
