If you like gaming then you must please please please do a reaction video of Voice Plays cover " Halo " from the Halo video game. The composer of the music was so blown away by Voice Plays cover & said it was better than his original. At the end Scott Porter pays homage to the game & a fallen comrade of theirs. Please watch it. As with all Voice Play covers wait until the credits stop rolling before you stop the video. They sometimes pause before a surprise ending. Also Voice Plays cover " The Dragonborn Comes Skyrim". As you may know Voice Play are known as The Theater Kids of a capella. They sure know how to put a music video together.
This is The Year Of VoicePlay. Nothing Else Matters, Valhalla Calling, Seven Nation Army, Golden Hour, this one, I can't wait to see what they do next.
@@GOTGamesthank you for another great reaction to Voice Play..please do a reaction to Voice Plays cover to Dream On originally by Aerosmith. Voice Play knocks it out of the ball park. The guy with the big hair is the one who hit the high note. Also Voice Plays cover of Carry On My Wayward Son originally by Kansas. Voice Play Knocks it out of the ball park as well.
I've got a _lot_ of love for the visual glitches in the video. It feels like it is them breaking the simulation that they're in. But it is also just amazing the way that everything bounces around on the timing... ever so slightly out of sync, but not... clashing. Still, you are 100% on point when calling out the intensity of it. They mastered that. It's also interesting to have learned the story behind this song because it was written after his wife left him because she couldn't stand his touring schedule as a performer. You can really feel that... sense of personal betrayal in the song (which I've become quite familiar with), and it is just _amazing_.
Voiceplay's never going to do a basic cover of anything; they won't do a song unless they feel they can do something interesting with it. They do however try to be respectful of the original version, and that really shows with songs like Nothing Else Matters. Voiceplay's 2023 output has been on a completely new level, so you wouldn't go wrong with any of their most recent songs. Also, Geoff Castellucci (the bass) has put out incredible versions of Sound of Silence and I See Fire this year. It has been a very good year to be a Voiceplay fan!
I love, love, love this one! They just hit it perfectly! I remember the first VoicePlay video you saw was "My Mother Told Me" and"Valhalla Calling" is the sequel to that. A viking epic. They've done some amazing stuff this year. I can't wait to see your reactions to it!
Valhalla Calling is the straight sequel to the video My Mother Told me, where you first met VP and the bass of Geoff. I still remember how overwhelmed you were by that. It's a rection I've re-visited several times.Valhalla will destroy you😅 Don't miss out on their cover of Seven Nation Army and Geoff with I See Fire as well.
I agree whole heartedly..... THEY CRUSHED THIS!!!!! I also think this is the best I've ever heard from them. Thanks for bringing this to us and know that your reaction & remarks are spot on. Great job! If you haven't yet.... you NEED to do Nothing Else Matters.
They've mastered the art of taking you to the heights and then bringing you quietly down again. Stupendous. Another one you may have missed: I Can't Make You Love Me. Stunning harmonies in that too. Loveley reaction.
Yup, Voiceplay have been quietly and casually upping their game even more over the past few months as far as their covers are concerned - you're in for a huge treat playing catch-up with them! Yeah, sorry I commentarily nagged you a bit about their 'Valhalla Calling,' but knowing you're a big Assassin's Creed fan I know you're going to enjoy that one. There's also 'Seven Nation Army' and 'Nothing Else Matters' as well.
So glad to see you back Voiceplay (and Geoff, I hope). Voiceplay NEVER does a cookie cutter version of anything. They always pay homage to the original, but they Voiceplay with it. This is Layne's arrangement, as is Valhalla Calling. Nothing Else Matters is Geoff's. You will love them both. Trust me. Geoff's latest is I See Fire from the second Hobbit movie. Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff.
Ones I'd love to see you react too: Nothing Else Matters, Valhalla Calling, Golden Hour, VoicePlay has assembled an apocalyptic trilogy starting with Warriors, going to Dream On and ending with Seven Nation Army; I Can't Make You Love Me, We're Good, Running Up That Hill, In The Hall Of The Mountain King.
Welcome back! I absolutely loved this one: a beautiful homage to the original with a true 80s feel and their own incredibly creative spin to it! Thank you for your reaction! Seven Nations army should be next, if you so feel inclined.
Love how excited you get while watching their covers....I believe we ALL get that excited...but it's awesome to see it all around this Earth :) FOR SURE DO Metallica's cover of Nothing Else Matters...EPIC and yes....Valhalla's Calling...just 2 more perfect performances! Blessings to you!!
Layne Stein is the beat boxer and arranges all the music for Voiceplay. Geoff Castellucci also occasionally assists with the arrangements. Geoff also does all of his solo music arrangements. His company also does all the makeup and costumes
I'm so glad that you came back to Voiceplay! I enjoyed your earlier reactions, and I enjoyed this one again! Please keep VP/Geoff up your list and perhaps try to catch up (there are so many outstanding songs this year from both - Geoff and VP - you will like every one of them, I would bet!). One of my favorites is the Metallica Cover "Nothing Else Matters", it hit me unprepared (although I am always prepared when the next Voiceplay Song comes out). For me it was like listening to PTX Daft Punk Medley for the first time. Hope to see you again with Layne, Cesar, Eli, Geoff and their feature guests! Thanks and greetings from Germany!
Awesome reaction. The first time I watched your reaction was My Mother Told Me. Valhalla Calling is a sequel to it. Same characters, costumes, tattoos. Only differences are.... Cesar is wearing Jose's costume and Geoff's armor top. So Geoff is wearing his fur as a top. They've been hitting it out of the park this year. 6 months of 6 amazingly awesome videos. Geoff as well with the 3 he did
They did a great job with the 80s Miami Vice vibe complete with the glitchy VHS feel to it. (It was filmed behind PattyCake Productions with Layne’s dad’s car). Layne outdid himself and I loved that stomp sequence. It sets up the whole second half of the song. One of the things that VoicePlay does so well is to try to make their interpretation, both audio and visual, really reflect the lyrics of the song.
I loved Layne's drum drop! Add me to the list wanting Valhalla Calling. Also, Scott Hoying (fromPTX and Superfruit) dropped a new solo video Parallel. Beautiful song!
OH! You made my heart so happy reacting to VP again! And YES!!! You need to listen to Nothing Else Matters and of course Valhalla Calling (your Viking stuff). J None is in both of those. They also did Seven Nation Army and Golden Hour. They've been so busy.
Missed your reactions to VoicePlay, can't wait to see more! Nothing Else Matters, Valhalla Calling (part 2 to My Mother Told Me) and 7 Nation Army, all are a must see!! Hope to see you react to them soon!!
You missed lots songs of VoicePlay and Geoff like yesterday they had Drunken Sailor before that was Creep. You even missed some their other things that older like Carry On My Wayward Son, Nothing Else Matters, Dream On, Seven Nation Army, Man In The Mirror, Little Mermaid Medley, Wicked Medley, Mona Medley, The Greatest Showman Medley. ACA Top 10 80's Cartoon's, ACA Top 10 Sitcom's. Hope you go back do some the other stuff too.
If you liked the harmonies in this song, I think you'll absolutely love their version of Nothing Else Matters. They do a beautiful job of that song, generally trading off the main melody line between Eli and J. None, but even Layne spends the first portion of the song singing harmony rather than beatboxing, and it just comes together so well. Plus, you'll get to hear Geoff out-bassing a bass guitar, and get a chance to see #VioLayne!
When the big 3 for A Capella started, Pentatonix was the best. Since then, though, VoicePlay has caught, and in my opinion, passed both them and Home Free. All the members have improved both solo and in ability to harmonize. Geoff is damn near an alien by now…Eli’s range has caught Whitney Houston…Cesar is right behind him…Layne is just brilliant…J. None looks like he will return to the group once his Navy enlistment is up and provide the baritone/low tenor to complete the group.
You haven't done "Valhalla Calling"?!? ....Well, indeed I didn't find it. "Valhalla Calling" and Geoff Castellucci's "I See Fire" Hobbit quartet...one person becomes four.
"Falling in Reverse" did a Papa Roach cover "Last Resort" that I was highly impressed with. If you're into that style of music, I would love to see your reaction to that one!!!
Voiceplay’s cover is quite extraordinary. They took a classic & made it all their own. However, they didn’t stray far from the original. Random Recommendation; Man With A Mission X Milet: Demon Slayer S3 anime ending & music video : “Koi Kogare”
I would really like you to do some of Geoff's covers as a one man band, absolutely worth your time. (Geoff Castellucci) on RUclips channel. Some of your reactions are most fun, I know I've said that before, ten thumbs up emoji's
Give yourself a treat... Check their version of "Nothing else matters". I swear you WON'T regret. 🙂 And check as well Geoff Castellucci (the bass) "Low bass singer cover" of Ed Sheeran "I see fire", from "The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug", which is the follow up to his cover of "Far over the Misty Mountains cold" from "The Hobbit - An unexpected journey". Same characters (all played by Geoff), makeups and costumes. You'll probably have a little of a surprise... 😁 See you next time! 🙂
Just want to add that you really should give consideration (well, not my place to tell you what to do, but nonetheless ...) to VP's cover of "Nothing Else Matters". Pretty sure you'll be blown away.
Just a quick anime op reaction suggestion: Kakegurui. It has a great opening that I am sure you would love and would be curious of your guess on what the show is about :)
Day 45 of requesting the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
If you allow me suggest a video reaction, could you please do a reaction for: Daniel and Seu Jorge - "Romaria". A heads up about these two brazilian singers. Daniel is a brazilian country singer and Seu Jorge is Samba/MPB singer. I believe you already know Seu Jorge for his duet with Ana Carolina, About this song, the lyrics is so strong about how is the brazilian people who lives in the country, poor and humble people, who have their religious guide them. This is the link: ruclips.net/video/qw6xCJZ98wE/видео.html Thanks!!!
This is rando and I'm not exactly sure how you accept or like these being sent out but, do you mind reacting to the openings for the, "Saiyuki" anime franchise? There's like, NO RUclips creator-type content about this series which tells you just HOW underrated/obscure/unloved such a franchise is in the US, sadly. I wish more people knew about it, haha!

Can't wait to hear it 💯
If you haven't seen Geoff Castellucci's cover of I See Fire it's amazing and a sequel to his cover of Far Over the Misty Mountains.
So will “Nothing Else Matters!!”
I love, love, love this one! They just hit it perfectly!

Oh I have a lot to check out! Looking forward to it 💯
I’ll echo this! Oth songs are really great. And very much have their own ‘spin’.
And don't forget that the bass (Geoff Castellucci) has fantastic solo work on his own channel.

Up votes for “Valhalla Calling” and “Nothing Else Matters”.

"The Voiceplay Approach" (I'm stealing that, hope it's okay!) makes any song better, IMHO.

You won't be disappointed with either Valhalla Calling or Nothing Else Matters. Both of them have broken other reactors.
The original is one of my favorite songs of all time, but this version may just stand side by side with it.

Great version! It couldn't have been better. NOW, yo I need to hear PENTATONIX do their upgrade to CREEP. It will rattle your brain! Lol😂😊
Fantastic - I love this one. X
