  • Opened in 1909, Fort Worth Zoo is located in Fort Worth, Texas and features 7,000 native and exotic animals. It has been ranked among the top zoos in North America by USA Today, the Los Angeles Times and Family Life magazine. Currently, the Fort Worth Zoo is in the process of completing a $100 million capital campaign, entitled "A Wilder Vision." Three of four phases have been complete and the final section, Forests & Jungles, is scheduled to finish in spring of 2025. Today, the Fort Worth Zoo spans 64 acres and is home to over 500 species.

      You can find a San Antonio Zoo video in the Zoos playlist. We went not too long before this video. Hopefully will get to the other zoos in the near future.

    I loved that zoo! I lived in DFW for 18 years and I thought Fort Worth's zoo was only second to the one in San Diego.

    Our family has memberships at the zoo and we go quite often. We were there on April 8th for the eclipse. It was neat to see how the animals reacted to it.
