Could you clarify what you meant by “ so you have to remember this that when you answer on the NCLEX it is not external or internal rotation but rather external rotation”
External rotation is correct or incorrect?
The assessment that indcates hip fracture will be external rotation of the thigh. The goal during recovery is neither internal or external rotation but neutral position as well as abduction of the legs to prevent dislocation after surgery. Thanks for the question.
what will happenend if a hip fracture is left untreated as person is 90+ alredy

Doc I have a hip aceptabullar fracture surgery just a month ago.. After fracture heals completely is there a need to remove screws and other metals fixed inside? And can I still move my legs and hips normally after a year? Thanks doc
Hello, I am not a medical physician. It depends on the type of surgery you have received and you may ask you provider directly. Thanks.
