    I was diagnosed with Lupus in June and this video was twice as much information than my rheumatologist has provided me. I'm also an RN but I've only had a few Lupus patients in the Women's Health setting. I would just like to add that one of my worst symptoms is pain in my hands m particularly on the thumb side. I drop things a lot and it is painful to open a bottled water for example. I'm currently working 12 hour shifts which is extremely difficult. I plan to start applying for disability soon because I hear it can take up to 20 months for final approval. So another huge nursing diagnosis is: Stress related to Major life change related to decreased ability to perform job requirements prior to diagnosis. Thanks again for a very informative video from a Lupus warriors.

    Thanks for a good explanation on Lupus as I’ve been recently diagnosed and knew nothing about this disease. It sounds like a scary disease but, God Willing I have to deal with it hopefully 🙏

    Butterfly rash occurs in about 30% of lupus patients.

    Thank you for this video. My rheumatologist is baffled by what is going on. I just received a personal letter from my doctor in the mail containing information on the findings within my blood work that was done. I began searching because he’s concerned about my serum count and vitamin D is very low. But ANA came back negative along with scholerdera A. But also says it appears physically to be so.
    I will ask him about SLE. Thank you so much for this informative and great video !! 🙏🌸 God bless you

    Can you please check the name of medication? I think it’s Cyclophosphamide not Cyclophosamide. I checked online and my book too. Please reply

    What do you think of an elevated ESR, CRP and RF, but an negative CCP and ANA? But all the symptoms of lupus except butterfly rash? Lupus or something different?

    Which organ gets affected at first? I had this question on my exam. I was so confused. Please tell me the answer . Thank you

    • @josemurillo6718
      @josemurillo6718 5 лет назад +1

      I believe the organ affected first are the kidneys. That leads to HTN. However, the leading causes of death from Lupus are Pneumonia or septicemia, I think that's due to the long term therapy with immunosuppressants.

    Hi, Im from the Philippines and currently working as Clinical Abstractor. I dont see any videos regarding SLEDAI scoring but I have read some about it. I have seen 6/10 SLEDAI score in some doctor's notes but I'm wondering if the "10" in 6/10 would be the number of items or the measure of disease activity? And if I could ask for a reference please.
    More power and thank you❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
