    Rob, Rob, Rob, YOU are a DC treasure and your hacks are spot on! We used all your hacks and I feel like I should send you a check for your help. We did the monuments at night, road the Metro like locals (did not eat on the Mall) and fit in almost all the museums. Thank you for your amazing videos and hacks. Two grandmas and two teenagers survived Aug. summer vacation in DC!!! When will you be doing other cities?

      Hi Bonnie - thanks for the feedback, glad to hear you had a great trip! I don't have plans to make videos for other cities since I can only confidently tell you about DC.

    Totally agree about walking to Arlington Cemetery via the Memorial Bridge. I do it all the time. It also gives a breathtaking view of the city and waterfront. Really pretty.

      Yes! One of my favorite views as well.

    Another tip is to visit the National Mall museums mid week, on a Tuesday or Wednesday. You’ll avoid weekend crowds. If you’re going to visit on the weekend, skip Friday and Saturday and go on Sunday.

    My son and I took a private tour with Rob this morning, starting at the Jefferson Memorial and ending up at the WWII monument . Rob was a lively, smart and engaging tour guide. He had lots of interesting information about the monuments - definitely worth the price! I wholeheartedly recommend his tour .

    Don't rent the bikes, jesus I remember paying a HEFTY fee for them. DO you recommend any cheaper mode of transportation besides the bus? Are scooters a cheaper alternative in DC?

    Thank you Rob for the very helpful information. I watched many videos before my successful trip to DC this summer. I wanted to tell you the Eating on the Mall video need some updating but I think you already pulled the video for editing. The seafood market 15 mins to the south is currently under construction, and although I really enjoyed the food, the surroundings wasn't pleasant at all. Otherwise thanks for the great tips and hacks. Happy DCing~

      @TripHacksDC  7 лет назад

      Hi Peter. I'm sorry the fish market didn't work out so well for you. Construction did get pretty bad in the surrounding area this summer, but once the Wharf development opens (only a few months from now) it will improve the area dramatically. Hope you enjoyed your trip otherwise.

    Thank you! Was just debating should we walk 2 miles from Lincoln memorial to the Capitol and back...now I know we can just hop on the DC circulator if we get too tired! Btw do you know where the parking for Lincoln memorial is? I can't seem to find it on Google map. Thanks.

      There is street parking on Ohio drive, but the furthest spots are very far. If you like pain and frustration you can try it, otherwise leave the car at home.

    We are planning to spend 3 days at the national mall, monuments and museums. Is that enough time? Can we walk the whole thing? Seems humongous. Will we be dead tired? Should we just pick a point and circle around to hit all attractions? Any help is appreciated. First family vacation 🙂

      Check out ruclips.net/video/4p15XyV8c24/видео.html. It's very walkable. For the most efficient route I recommend signing up for a guided walking tour. Have fun!

    one of the tour operators used to have a shuttle service to Arlington...no longer available ?
    also I take it The Tourmobile is long gone? and the shuttle service to JFK arts center from Union Station?...

    • @TripHacksDC
      @TripHacksDC  6 лет назад

      Tourmobile has been gone for many years now. I believe Old Town Trolley has a route that goes from Lincoln to Arlington Cemetery.
