Well said! Purchasing many new items every season is not sustainable, for individuals and especially for the environment. It is fun to look to the back of our closets and see if we can re-purpose 😀
Hi Audrey...just thought you'd like to know that we watch you on our big smart TV...so you seem more like a TV star to us. Your high quality videos look fantastic on the big screen.
As a petite, I really enjoy your suggestions and styling. I’ve tried to incorporate many of these tips into my outfits and I’m pleased with how I feel in my clothes. Also your colour suggestions have been very enlightening! I have similar colouring to you and I’ve been inspired by your colour choices.
Being 5'2" I've found it so helpful when the an online retailer provides garment measurements for both regular and petite styles so you can choose the correct fit. I discovered that I am short waisted and petite tops are often better in the overall length. Definitely agree on the coat or tops having set in sleeves for a more flattering fit, no dolman sleeves for me 💚
My top tip is to choose fabrics and materials that add warmth but not as much bulk. Bamboo long sleeve tee under an alpaca jumper (sweater for the North Americans, pullover for the Brits, I think) for example. Both incredibly fine but also incredibly warm. Cashmere and superfine merino wool are also good choices. As is the wool/possum fur blend out of New Zealand. I’d be interested in any other suggestions. Note: possum is an introduced pest doing an incredible amount of environmental harm in NZ
Hi Ms. Audrey!!! I love all of your videos! Do you have any tips for petite like me but have a rounded tummy, I just have a hard time trying to style my clothes in a way that doesn’t accentuate much of my tummy (my problem area), but don’t have to rely too much on swear shirts just to hide it… hopefully some future videos would include or focus on style that helps solve this issue.. more blessings!
Thank you for all these amazing tips! I've been watching your videos for a couple years now and they always manage to get me reinvigorated about my personal style which is something I've always struggled with. Please keep them coming :) P.S. Thank you for the discount code! I've been eyeing a blouse for months and this was just the push I needed to treat myself :)
I ordered some of the Lilysilk shirts you recommended, received them today, and absolutely LOVE them! The quality is incredible. Thank you for sharing your direct links to the products you're wearing in the videos! :)
i love your videos!! i have started incorporating more and more of your tips and it has really helped! i was wondering if you could make a video on different ways to tuck in tops/sweaters/shirts ?
As a more petite person (also short waisted), I always find these style tips so helpful. I do have a general question - on your descriptors for style aesthetic. As I have watched you over the years, it seems to me that your style has become more romantic, dreamy, and feminine. Would you still use the same style descriptors? Thoughts on changing your style aesthetic and descriptors.
I loved the tip about using the contrasting colour to your eyes and will try that. I’m afraid I didn’t understand what you meant when you were talking about ratios in oversizing, one finger, one thumb?🤔
Lilisilk has beautiful tops but in my experience they are difficult to deal with regarding returns or size exchanges. Just a heads up that their return process is not easy.
It’s challenging to find coats and sweaters that are not drop sleeves, oversized and not made with animal fibers/hair which I cannot do. Any tips with those particulars?
THAT is a beautiful coat. I wore petite sizes--in 7th and 8th grades. Lol I've always loved petite-sized clothing as there's so much more attention to detail than to misses clothes.
Great video once again, Audrey!! Regarding complementary colors on the color wheel (colors that are directly across from one another)...I have blue eyes and when I wear bronzy/orange eye shadow my blue eyes look even bluer. I look forward to your videos - keep up the good work!!
Okay, I love ALL your jeans-- they fit you so nicely and are classic but incredibly stylish. I know you tailor a lot of them to fit you, but where are they from? Or what brands do you like best?
It is mindblowing to wear color opposite to your eye color closer to your face. I have just recently noticed it myself - 've been keeping it in mind for a month so far - how a scarf with orange/yellow mixed with blue print suited me. Isn't it strange to keep a warmer color closer to a cold-toned face?
Hi, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I'm chronically ill and spend a lot of time in bed. I very much desire elegant clothing as I used to wear, however, now is just uncomfortable in bed and gets wrinkled and ruined. I'm wondering if you'd consider doing a video giving tips on how to make loungewear more elegant? I know it may sound ridiculous, I just feel so much better when I look nicer and am trying not to compromise my values because of illness.
Hi Audrey, I’m also petite (5’2”/95lbs) and I’m always hesitant to order clothes online because I usually have to return them. I love the Lilysilk tops in your video. May I ask what size you ordered and did you have to get any alterations?
Aubrey where do I find high quality sweaters? I just bought some from Banana Republic, washed them once and already look like they won't last past this winter season.
Did you have to alter the Lily Silk long sleeves? I’m petite and I have been curious to try their long sleeve shirts but I am afraid they will be too long. I was hoping you would have said something on this video but you didn’t. The shirts seem to fit you so I guess they do fit petites?
They will custom size their shirts/blouses for an additional $30. This is helpful for petites - although as a petite myself - 5'1" - 130 lb. I find that most silk clothing, made in Asia, is cut smaller than comparable US regular sizes.
Are you a true petite? I know you have a petite (meaning slender and narrow) frame, but petites come in all sizes, and it's all about proportion. Petites are now made for people 5'4" and under, but that means that they are a good 3" too long for me. There are no longer any petite specific stores in the malls.and many clothing lines are discontinuing their petite range altogether. Very frustrating.
( using husband's YT acct. ) At 5'3" , I 've found Talbot's has a nice petite section - quality classics often at very good sale prices . Lands End & LL Bean have very nice petites in casual & outdoor wear . Good customer service too. I've been a customer of these places for decades & still wearing most all my many purchases .
@@eddemoss8228 these places have petites, but for me, they are a little conservative. Loft and AnnTaylor are a little more modern, and JJill is a little more relaxed and oversized.
@@fionafrazer8820 Yes, I also shop the places you mentioned to add updates to my classics . J Jill has been a go - to for me for ages - we have a store nearby w/ lovely sales people + good catalog shopping experiences .
Dear Audrey, I really like you and your channel, but I wish to point out that your videos are feeling very repetitive, especially for someone who is watching you for over a year. It might be just me tho. I would suggest exploring some topics that you didn't already elaborated in many videos (such as color combinations, expensive clothing or petite tips). Maybe you can talk about perfumes, hair, necklines or maybe even show yourself wearing different styles than yours so we can see how it fits your body type. Anyway, just a suggestion. Hugs ❤
I always look forward to your videos, Audrey! I’ve made more thoughtful choices with my clothing since finding your channel. Small tip: there is some audible lip smacking, but that can be fixed by drinking water or apple juice 2 or so hours before recording. Dehydration always gets me on the radio.

We call it jumper here in the U.K. pullover is a very old word that they used to be called.
So human created problem, yet possums are the ones to suffer. Got it
They are known as "jumpers" in Britain as well. A "pullover" more often refers to the sleeveless knitwear better known as a "tank top".
I agree but these are not kind to our wallets !
Dear Audrey, I have complete sweater envy, I love every sweater you wear. 💖
Many of these tips work for nonpetites as well. Thanks so much
I discovered your channel not too long ago and it’s changed my life! Thank you for being inclusive to us petites. I’m 4’11 😅
These are tips I’d never heard before for us petite ladies. Thank you!
Great tips, thanks Audrey! Buying ankle length jeans was a game changer for me personally. And I always try to show my wrists when I can!
I love the combination of dark green on dark blue😍
I love all the blouses in this video 😍
I love the necklace and earrings.
As usual, great tips and beautiful clothes that are not over the top!
You always do so well dressing with elongating silhouettes that I seriously thought you were taller than me! (I'm 5'7")

I like the eye color tip and the other tips thanks a lot Audrey.
It would be great if you could expand on the width of your finger/thumb rule. As always, thanks so much for this!

Audrey, is that cashmere jumper you are wearing more warm or cool toned? It looks almost pinkish! Very pretty!
