Show Low! Haven't seen that town in awhile! When I stayed down in St. John's I would get home sick for Minnesota because I missed the smell of the pine trees. Glad you stopped in to the car show. Those are always fun. Stay safe out there and keep the videos comin'! 👋 😉
Had I known we could boondock along Service Roads during my traveling years, it would have saved me a lot of stress looking for a safe place to spend the night ... SIGH ! Arizona sure offers varied landscapes. I visited the White Mountains only once in the 1980's. I remember a place called "Hannagan's Meadow" that I found particularly beautiful. Superb video ! RICHARD
Hey Russ, every time I see your videos it brings out a lonely feeling in my heart. Don't get me wrong, I truly love your videos. You're a better man than I to travel on your own. GOD BLESS!
Howdy Russ, wish I could have told you to go to the Mogollon Rim Visitor Center around Forest Service road 171. Turn and go north to Woods Canyon lakes and follow that road to the west,it’s paved then turns to gravel. There are camp sites right along the rim overlooking the valley below. Maybe you stopped there after posting this video but man you would have had one of the best views and camp spot in Arizona. Thanks for stopping in Heber Overgaard car show. That town park has a lot of good events and live bands during the summer. Had friends there where we parked our motor home the last couple years.
I absolutely love the bumper music on your channel. Especially the intro one. I am going to buy that tune and play it every time I start a road trip. Thank you Russ for all you do. All of those RV parks (non-boondock) you have showed me show the electric hookups and bathroom/shower facilities. The Tesla I just purchased has a "Camping" setting which keeps the car's cabin at a set temperature. Although it only sleeps 2, I have enough room for my wife and and everything I need for road trips. I even obtained the NEMA TT-30P adapter for the common 220 volt hookups at most campgrounds. It'll charge my EV during the night for my next RVrTV recommended A1 quality trips. Thanks to your, you did most of my planning and the fun is left to me and my Senior lifetime US pass.
great video. i always enjoy a little behind the scenes too. would even like to see a little on camera commentating from you while you're eating your supper or getting ready to settle in for the night as well. thanks for what you do, i really appreciate it
Hey Russ! Great video! The car show was a nice surprise. I enjoy watching your travels and love the simple setup to your van. I retire in 2 years and plan to buy a van that I can transform into my campervan. I have a minivan that I camp out of now but standing up in the van would be great. Thank you for showing us your setup, so helpful. Safe travels!
Very pretty.👍👍😊🎵😳. Nice car show. Think you said '59 Corvette. Remember the old TV show Route 66? Thanks for sharing info about boondocking. Take care.
Enjoying the ride. Just how I like to travel, no tight schedule so if you see something interesting like that car show you can pull over. Being a classic car guy I thank you for checking it out.
Hi Russ! Great day of traveling! Enjoyed your car show video and love the Boondocking spot you picked. Too bad no camp fires, but understand the restrictions. I miss my days out in the great outdoors! Put your feet up and enjoy your day.
@@rvertv :. You sent me a message a couple weeks ago after "our" trip to Winslow AZ and told me to contact you. Sorry Russ. Cannot find the instructions.
My cousin and his wife and another couple are camping just west of you at Woods Canyon Lake. Hope the weather is 70's or cooler. Have enjoyed over 2 years of following you around the USA.
Nice to see those beautiful pine trees. When we go away, I collect pinecones from that area, save for our Christmas tree. Nice memories. That is a nice area, lots of ppl getting land there. I just love your van. Fixed up with all you need for a perfect long trip. Enjoyed the ride along. Ty. 🙂👍

Mogollon Rim-I’ve been there. Area where last Indians fled to from U.S. army that gunned down most in a cave shootout. Also area where longest feud between 2 ranch groups in U.S. history. It’s a nice place today, but has a violent history. I like the stories behind the places better than the places themselves. I put a lot on RUclips-you’ll find them with my name & search words like Arizona, Texas, etc. I also think your videos are a unique & refreshing perspective. Keep a rollin’.
Thanks for the car show. I love them until they get to be too 'big'. One of my best motorcycle get-away areas. During the week when it's no so busy. I guess that was the old days, though? Also, the Salt River Canyon road...
Really enjoyed seeing a little bit of your routine, AFTER you get parked and settled in. Love the videos about searching dispersed camping areas. If gas prices settle down someday, I'd LOVE to see you looking for forestry service dispersed camping sites like this in Wyoming and Colorado!
I don't know about the other national forests but Sitgreaves no longer has any fire restrictions. As far as the Walmart in Show Low goes, I will not go into that store until after 8pm. Otherwise I'll go to the Walmart in Snowflake. Thanks for the video.
Hi Russ. A couple questions; What's the altitude at your location? Any tips on adjusting to higher altitudes (for sea level East Coast folks)? How do you charge your house batteries AND your Bluetti (do you use a different set of solar panels for each)? If you're using the same panels, how do you switch from each battery bank? Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
I know Arizona and Imperial County/Sonoran Desert heat. As a young person I drove tractors and Caterpillars in Imperial County 6 am to 6 P.M., Monday through Saturday. Pay 11& 1/2 hours a day, six days a week … take home about $250.00 a week. No AC on the Cat and KAMP am radio would give us the current temps…. 120 was common. The high that I recall being broadcast was 127. Global warming…. Ha…. Ha. Ha…
It was fun seeing the auto show. Those were some great cars! (And is Heber really pronounced Herber? You would know, being from Arizona. Is Heber City in Utah pronounced the same way?)
In order to stay 14 days on dispersed (dry camp) BLM and National Forest land, do you have to visit a Regional Office first? How fo they know you haven't gone beyond the 14 days?!
Thanks for helping this Pennsylvanian to become more familiar with the great state of Arizona!
Russ thanks for the great scenery and conversation. I really liked the van setup too. Keep the videos coming!

Small town car shows are the best!!
Love those recliners. Sleep, sit, and surf the web. Plenty of room for a dirt bike in that setup.
Trees look happy and the scent must be heavenly. What a great place get some work done at the office. Thanks again!

Looks like the Forest Service does a good job keeping the roads up. Here in Alabama they suck in the Talladega National Forest.
Thanks Russ! Now I know where to spend my summer!
Your van is such a sweet setup Mr. Russ. Wonderful way to travel !!

I’m staying in Show Low for several days in September. I’m looking forward to it!

Hi Russ looks like a very nice day out there 🤩 be safe 😊
Hey Russ, enjoying your channel! Subscriber. Thought I’d point out there is no R in Heber. There’s also a really cool Heber in Utah!
Heeeeber.
I'm in Show Low now. Going to the Hobo's next weekend. He told me you were there last weekend.
Nice spot, stay cool !
Thanks, will do!

Nice area; but it has changed since I was there; circa 1975😎😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👌👌
Maids day off, love it...! 😆😆😆
Used to grab some vittles at The Red Onion in Heber.
Hey Russ, will you do a more detailed video of Kingman and possibly Golden valley? I am going to be moving out that way.

Hey 260, I live off the 260 in Camp Verde, but I’ve mentioned that just about everytime you mention the Verde valley
Hey Russ, It's HEBER NOT HERBER ! Love ya buddy !
Russ, great video! When you make it to destinations, can you drop a pin on a map so we know where these awesome spots are?
Continued, that is unless you left they are out?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey Russ Great video. It’s “he ber” not “her ber’ just fyi love your video’s
Its a long e in Heber not Herber. Been through there myself and it's beautiful.

Very cozy definitely a man cave in case if I were a woman I'd have it decorated but that's OK
I was wondering if you still recommend the airtab vortex generators? I saw one of your older videos but I didn't see how you felt about them.
I enjoy your videos very much. Keep them coming. Do you go anywhere besides AZ?
I had been curious about your setup….I’m in a wheelchair and have considered a small rv, or a van set up like this.
Scope out the nabors 😆 your not Russ, your peeping Tom. Have fun 👍 😊
It was fun seeing the auto show. Those were some great cars! (And is Heber really pronounced Herber? You would know, being from Arizona. Is Heber City in Utah pronounced the same way?)
It's heeber just don't tell Russ
👍
Hi Russ, just curious what are all those fins on the back of your van?
Have to ask, where is the E-Bike? I am wondering if you get flat tires as easily as a regular bike?
I feel better now that I know you have food and sandwich meat! OK, next question? Where do you sleep? Do you sleep in the chair?
Rvtv this is a question for you what's the name of that song and where can I get it the music you have in your videos love it
if you click on "show more", scroll down and you'll see the link

In order to stay 14 days on dispersed (dry camp) BLM and National Forest land, do you have to visit a Regional Office first? How fo they know you haven't gone beyond the 14 days?!
A BLM Officer visits regularly and if you "overstay", they notice your presence.
He ber.
It's pronounced He-bur
🌴🇺🇸🇺🇸🌴😎
Too cool for school. No electric cars. lol
I get the impression you don't like crowds.
I think they lost the recipes for those car colors a while ago. Now you can get white, black and silver. 🤣
Hey dude, where's the electric bike? Never leave home without it......
Most of the people at car shows are boring, never smile, and look miserable
First like!
I ask you, what more does a guy need?
Why do campers need all that electric ? Hair dryer curling iron and lava lamp.
