Hey I appreciated this. My Roland DJ-808 has succumbed to a liquid spill apparently from a previous life....but before that it had a platter freeze issue which seems to be somewhat common or at least if never has been cured for those who's controllers experience it.... So it looks like the SX3 has everything I want and actually use from my Roland. I have toyed with the TRS Drum Machine some but had yet to actually use it actively. Basically for the same price as the used SX3 I could get another used Roland DJ-808...but Its hard to find the confidence. I like the idea of getting used to the DDJ-1000-srt layout, and I don't sweat losing the effects in Serato but the best price I can find on one is $325 more. I'm used to the Serato layout, still wasn't happy about the mirrored layout of the 808, I think the SX3 will be home.
I'm glad that the video helped! I'm really happy with my SX3. If you can find a good deal on a used unit I wouldn't hesitate. For me the quality and features was perfect for the price, but with the 1000s lingering over it I am hoping for a price drop or possibly an SX4 this year. One thing to watch on the used market, at least in my area, is that people are asking way to much for their used controllers. It's easier to write off gear from a store than from an individual (at least in Canada), so often I can save more in taxes just buying new from the store vs buying used off Facebook Marketplace.
I use the ddj-sx first generation and it's giving me problems and one of the plotters but to be honest the sx2 and sx3 look the same as ddj sx a couple of different inputs
How does the SX3 compare to the Rev 7 ....anyone ? I mean like apart from the platters in all other features the SX3 us equal for kess £ ? I mire interested in the effects plys SX3 has 2 extra options for decks . But i hear the Rev 7 is meant to be the best controller .
The Rev 7 is very different than this. If you are considering an SX3 I would look into the FLX 10 as it is more of a direct step up and will likely be closer to what you are looking for.
Between those I would say look into the software more than the hardware. I think the 800 and SX3 are pretty well matched, but if you prefer one software to the other that should be a bigger influence on your decision.
Hello, looking for a upgrade from the Roland dj 202. should I upgrade to this controller or look for something else. What other units I should look at?
The SX-3 would be a great upgrade. I would also take a look at the SR-2 if you don't need some of the extra features. If you want some more features for not much more money than the SX-3 look into the 1000 (the Serato or RB version are both amazing).
Pending you don't mind the switch to Rekordbox, the 1000 is better by most metrics and is priced so closely it makes it the clear winner. The 1000 SRT has a bigger price gap so it is a bit harder to justify, so I would take a look at the extra features and decide if you feel the extra cost is worth it to you. Thankfully they are all great hardware, so there's no wrong answer.
Yeah it was the last Pioneer controller supporting DJAY Pro which has video mix. The new DJAY series sucks and a money grabber which they took out video mix.
Sorry buddy, but you are so insecure about this controller, I been using it for years and I love it, it's so multifunctional that clearly you don't know what are you talking about.
2022 the ddj-sx3 is the best controller.

Eu tambem estou com essa duvida .... E ai voce ja pegou sua controladora ??
I love sx3 and sz2
The SX3 is a great option. I love mine as well. Haven't tried the SZ2 but I have heard good things.
1000srt better then both but personally I prefer sx3
Me too....
Can I connect passive speakers on this controller or it should be active powered speakers
No, the outputs are all signal level. You will need an amp or powered speakers.

Best Controller in the world with 100points
Where I live the 1000 costs double so I will pick this one
Thanks for the information I was going too ask you would the 1000 be better than the Sx3

@@MaxSplVideos right I would go with the 1000 as well but the SRT seems like a good choice as well but I think rekordbox is the best choice
Hopefully he sold you one with the black dot on the serial number on the box. The first SX3s had a hardware recall.
It appears some units with black dot are having issues still. If you get a lemon send it back
Random thought but I feel like you can do a very good impression of goku lol, great review man✊🏽
