ok, would like to know how you can record a mix when 2 djs are playing back-to-back (each on their own mac - each mac to a different usb port of the sx3)? So say I'm dj A and start recording my set on my mac, now dj B comes along, plugs into usb port 2, and starts to play. Will my mac carry on recording the set dj B is playing or will no recording take place if my mac isn't playing?
If you were recording on each mac, you'd only record what each mac is playing. You'd need to come out of the audio output of the controller to record it all.
oh crap.. so you're sure that there is no way that none of the 2 macs can record (internally on SDJ Pro - without any outside devices) whatever is coming out of the master output of the sx3 (meaning, BOTH macs' output)? If yes, then do you know if this is a hardware restriction (so serato can't do anything to fix this), or a software one (so it's up to serato to make it happen)?
Whoops! I think it wasn’t mentioned at all in the video that there are two USB ports in the back so that two laptops can be connected. Just a slight oversight, but could be a dealbreaker.
I was surprised, I was expecting the next Serato controller to basically be a DDJ 1000, atleast can't Pioneer just update the 1000 to be Serato compatible
@@djtinytenerife they have the DDJ-SRT1000 for serato.. Go get it. Im going with this sx3. I think i like its features more.. The 1000 does have better jog wheels but that ia about it.
Just got mines & loving it
Top stuff!! They're a great unit!!

It's possible they're doing it on purpose... Keep the good one for their own software hey! ;)
GetInTheMix that's naughty 🤣
HA!! True that!
Yet the ddj 1000 is 1000x more advance but it’s for rekordbox

@@michaellee1725 i brought one 6 months ago. Hands down best controller on the market
@@djtinytenerife nice wait you got SRT-1000 or the SX3?
you can't use it with a usb drive and no computer eh?
Yes you can. This works standalone, so no need for the computer.
I have yet to find a port for the usb drive.
It works stand alone if you have turntables or cdjs hooked up to channels 3 and 4.. But the platters on the controller wont work without computer..
