    Mojo is beautiful. I have a 13 month old Pomsky who weighs 42lbs. He was mostly black with some white, now as he’s grown & shedded he has brown high lights, lol…..Pomsky’s are very energetic, don’t listen & love to chew. Pomsky’s are beautiful, friendly & lovable. I wouldn’t trade him for the world..

    I have a Pomsky which I rescued from an animal shelter. Pomsky’s are great dogs but, they’re high energy so if you’re thinking of getting one they’re very smart but difficult to train. They love to dig and at first this doggie did lots of destroying of anything I left out. They’re very affection but they also like to be the Alpha dog which I let him know I’m the boss. Apart from the part that he had four different owners I’m keeping him because I love ❤️ him a lot and He does make me laugh quite a bit. He’s three years old and spent most of his life in and out of shelters. They’re not lap dogs 🐶 they’re medium sized dogs and one last thing is he sheds a whole lot. He also likes to zoom out of the house so I have tall fences and make sure child gates are in store. Once they zoom out the door it’s almost impossible to get them back. My dog ran out the door and I had to get in my car and chase him I was frantic as it was a busy intersection but, God sent me three angels and I call them angels cause they managed to catch him. Thank God. So really think about responsibility when owing one it’s like have a terrible two’s child at home. Other than that if you can deal with all this then you’re ready to own a Pomsky. Lots of luck 🐕

      Yes! Responsibility and patience are key when owning any dog.

      Red Riding Hood And The Wolf absolutely also 🐕 dogs need food, shelter, and also medical expenses when they get sick apart from necessary vaccines. If a person can deal with all that they’re ready to own a dog. Dogs are needy they need attention, love and protection plus forget about vacations. When owning a dog you won’t have any vacations unless they’re camping all outdoors types where dogs are allowed. If you can handle all that then you can get a Pomsky or any other type of dog. One last thing I’d like to add go to your local shelter everyday there’s so many dogs that need a home. It’s better to adopt than buy from these greedy breeders. It’s a shame how many dogs get put to sleep it breaks my heart ❤️ really. Think it over and do what really is in your heart ❤️ good luck 👍

      You perfectly described my pomsky as well. He is currently 3.5 months and very energetic! He loves to run and fetch which is good. He is very nippy and bitey right now because he's teething but his teeth are very sharp and easily leave scratches all over my body. They love to dig and and chew on furniture/clothing but of all the bad things we wouldn't trade him for anything! He is very affectionate and loveable. Loves being around people. They are no lap dog and require lots of attention and physical effort but they also force you to become more fit and healthy which is good.

      @@subutan Good morning Susan where ever you are! I’m living in New York and yes my Pomsky still nips but he use small bites lol like he’s giving me kisses. I’m not a young lady I’m older with many physical disabilities so he does keep me on my toes as I have severe osteoporosis. I’ve broken my knees just from kneeling and picking things up from the floor. I got my Pomsky and am doing lots of walking which I couldn’t do before. Be careful when opening doors as they zoom and run out like cheetahs when let loose. My Pomsky is 3 yrs almost and still is destroying everything he can get his teeth on. I trying to train him he’s a lot better but he’s not a dog that listens that’s why I said please high fences and gates on steps when opening back or front doors. My Pomsky escaped once and I was really frantic but, angels like I mentioned as I prayed really hard suddenly appeared and I got him back so I have learned my lesson. Congratulations on you getting one but, if you want another one please and I’m saying this as something to do go to your local kill shelter and adopt one if you do this you’re saving a dogs life. I got my dog from kill shelter and he was going to be put down. My dog was abused by previous owners who had no patience. I’m the most patient lady in the world I’m retired now but, my profession was kindergarten teacher and loved my job that I did for 25 years. I had to retire because of broken knees. Sorry I’ve made such a long comment. You sound patient also so just hang in there dear he will come around and you will never let him go! God bless you and I’m happy you’re an animal lover! Stay well , good luck 👍 greetings from New York City 🌃

      @@jamilahadade4412 I'm from Toronto btw haha! Yes I agree with everything you said 🙂 I highly suggest to ppl that pomskys make for great family dogs and they're way too much work for just one or even two people. The amount of effort and teaching you have to give them when they're puppies can take a huge toll on a single person as you have to be very vigilant and patient with them. Have a great day in New York lol love that city!!!

    Looks like it has cattle dog in it like mine. We were told it was a pomsky but ended up 1/2 cattle dog and 1/4 husky and 1/4 Pomeranian. She a good girl but has the spots not all black and white like when she was a puppy

      The coat color isn't from pomeranian or husky & without embark on the pups there's no guarantee its a true pomsky. Embark on parents isn't enough.

    Hello, i know this is late.. But if anyone could answer this question I would appreciate it. Can a husky momma breed with a pomsky? And if so how big would the pups be?

    • @Racheltrainsdogs
      @Racheltrainsdogs  3 года назад

      Generally yes. The pups would be on the bigger side and have more husky in them than Pomeranian. How big they get depends on genetics and size of the parents. If you plan on breeding, OFA and Health tests should be performed on both dogs before they breed to insure they won’t inherit any medical conditions.

    I got a 9 week old pomsky and Im wondering if my pomsky will look notificably different at 3 months or even 10 weeks can you let me know?

    • @Racheltrainsdogs
      @Racheltrainsdogs  3 года назад +1

      Dogs grow rapidly until 6 months of age and then their growth slows. Mojo was 10 pounds at 3 months, by the time he was 4 months he was around 12-13 pounds

  • @turbocar5656
    @turbocar5656 4 года назад

    How are these dogs temperaments? Are they a lot of work to train? And do they shed a lot?

    • @Racheltrainsdogs
      @Racheltrainsdogs  4 года назад

      Mojo is very chill and loves everyone and everything, but every dog is different just like every human. Pomskies are a mix between a Pomeranian and a Siberian husky they require a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. Pomskies, like huskies and Pomeranians blow shed year round and blow their coats in the spring and fall. Here’s some more info on the breed:
      www.insidedogsworld.com/dog-breeds/pomsky-dog-breed-information/
      ruclips.net/video/joXVtV8HQBw/видео.html
      Please do your own research and make sure the breed fits your lifestyle before getting one.
