(which they don't do because they're bots) i like to imagine that nightmare bf turns the health bar on you, and now *you're* the opponent who is one miss away from dying.
Thinking about N!BF mechanics had got me stumped for a while. Here's my list. - this mechanic, which is what I like to call the Defeat mechanic (this mechanic came from Defeat first) - Dodging mechanic, similar to sans dodge mechanic except you not only have to dodge mic throws(one dodge), but sonic screams(25 dodges) and cap saucers(2 dodges) -Osu! Charting - And finally, the frigging charting. Designed to be similar to the hardest osu! Mania chart.

That actually makes sense, especially considering the fact that Anomaly BF is being controlled by Chara in this song. This could be a BF from a timeline in which he didn't escape Chara after Sans' week in Indie Cross.
I like how nightmare boyfriend sounds like he’s drowning n water, and the real boyfriend(or rather corrupted) is trying to calm him down and free him, but the nightmare version is refusing for help. That’s what I’m picturing Also after the first turn nightmare bf corrupted regular bf while he was trying to save him, so there’s that as well

I love how the blue flames in the back rise when the no misses allowed part startes, and dies down when it isn't. It's like Nightmare BF is starting to get excited, and because of his power the flames get higher.
Something that I find funny is that I absolutely love creating nightmare designs for characters, and I once considered getting a team together to make a nightmare mod like this one, but it looks like you got to it before me. What if NM BFs other attack would be him throwing the mic up but then he grabs the wire and SLAMS it into the ground in sync with the melody or beat, then it either bounce back to NM BF or he’d quickly reel and catch it?

I feel like there shouldn’t be a “no misses allowed” gimmick AND a “press space to not die” mechanic on the same song, it’s like how trying to Full Combo Knockout is so difficult because you have to play notes WHILE dodging and attacking. Also there are WAYY too many dodge attacks, and they don’t even go with the song or anything, they are kinda just there
