I agree with comms for the race director to riders its a no brainer for safety. What would suck is team of race analysts making decisions for riders. On track decision making separates the elite riders from the rest. It’s keystone to the sport. 9 whoop sections and lack of dragon backs is already giving wins to guys like Vialle. Let’s not dumb this thing down any further.
Ive always thought about this being the only sport they never did a "Mic'd Up" Id love to hear the banter and communication. I also remember going to NASCAR races years ago and renting a headset to listen to the drivers and pit crew chat with each other. It was awesome and definitely brought a new excitement to the sport
I don’t see this happening anytime soon as this sport loves to never change and live in the past. Get rid of pit boards and use commutation in helmets. Communication between teams and riders would make the sport a lot more safe I feel.
Jace, with your influence in the sport, why not test the in ear communication with some of the riders to get their input? Create some content surrounding it with actual riders. Once you get them on board, it’ll force a bigger change. We want safety just as much as you but can’t do anything about it. Showcasing the benefits would be hard to argue with.
Feld is the problem. No GoPros, no communication between riders, no team ownership with private funding, no supercross in Europe , no world exposure … they keep the majority of the profits at the riders and fan’s expense. They are the biggest reason this sport can’t grow. The second biggest reason is MXsports. Sad!

1000% agree. Brought up this item many years ago. Some guys have used communication devices in the amateur ranks but just not yet been caught

Definitely necessary! Mechanic and rider should be able to talk too, as a viewer being able to hear them would be so great!
