This song as well as a few others that were huge hits for them came because Warren wrote them. They made GREAT music with him. How can you possibly say he didn't fit? Duran Duran is not and never WAS just the sound of the 80s that they began with. They are versatile musicians and deserve to have their entire catalogue heard.
This is a better version I saved previously. It is professional and not pirated. I repeat what I said then, it is a song about my life. Loneliness becomes a way of life for some of us.
Amazing song. Though Warren wrote it, Andy Taylor's interpretation had much more style using vibrato, pinch harmonics, full chord bends and trills all the while maintaining some comfortable feedback and tonal variations from clean to distorted. Personal preference but where the heck is John?
ncave: Andy Taylor sucks! Andy Taylor isn’t fit to hold Warren’s guitar pick. Warren is 5 times the guitarist that Andy Taylor is. Andy Taylor never wrote anything as close to edgy and rock driven as Warren has. Warren was invited to play in Frank Zappa’s band and can play Frank’s licks note for note. Frank Zappa wouldn’t have even sneezed on Andy Taylor much less invite him into his band.
@@virgildailey1970 LOL. You are obviously not a musician. There's no such thing as better or best. It's an art. No right or wrong, only creativity and interpretation. Open your mind and you may learn something. Or not

I know american lead guitarist Warren Cuccurullo was integral to Duran's comeback( circa 1994 ? ) for composing the music for this song and others , and was with the group for about 5 years . I know he has been shaving his head since the early 2000s but is that really him here playing in this video 1998 ?
Mil gracias por tu carino si que pena no estar alla pero espero lo disfrutan al maximo!! si lo estoy pensando vamos a ver yo te comunico cuando vuelvo ok un abrazo
Dang, Warren looks like a young Joe Satriani here. Wth? haha. Great guitarist though. Sucks how they did him the way they did. What I also wonder is if they asked him to come back after Andy Taylor left a 2nd time. Either they didn't think about it or he rejected him cuz he was upset about how they did him. Cuz one obvious edge Warren has over Dominic Brown (Who is an amazing guitarist too btw) is that he sings. Dominic Brown doesn't. Shame........
And here 13 years later we know the answer: They asked the BOTH to play on the last album. But yeah, "big" bands tend to f... over "new" members when given a chance to reunite with an "original" member. (Genesis with Collins, Dream Theater with Portnoy, Yes and Deep Purple - too many times to count and so on). Not pretty, but they're only in it for the money.
@johnnyalonso1 Well, they're also missing John. Duran 80's is difficult to compare to Duran 90's. p.s. Andy's voice would suck because of smoking by this time.
Warren took this band to another level.
So, the guy wrote the song, then toured with Duran Duran for a while? Warren who...?
@@jonathanstoutenburg8634 warren. Cuccurullo

I loved Warrens Playing during his time with Missing Persons in the 80s and He really was a perfect fit for Double D =D
What a bass... Even better than John Taylor...:)...

This is a meme? Wacco was of the band since 86 (under contract) and remains permanent member until circa 2001.
I'll try to survivre

Dom isn't even in Warren's universe let alone league. Truth hurts.
MrNostalgiaX yea they did Warren dirty.

I like Andy, but no WAY can he play this song better than Warren, who wrote it. Andy often got it wrong, sorry.
miss warren
I agree with caravaggio.
Warren Cuccurullo is a very best guitarist but he does not fit at all with Duran Duran.

@Guibu2 What would be London. Wembley isn't a city.
that is him playing, but bald
Good old Parker Fly. Man warren can play! I don’t think Simon is a great singer really. He just had the look and with all the support made it work.
wtf¡¡¡¡¡ joe satriani?¡¡¡
James Crockett Warren Cuccurullo
Depeche mode
Andy Taylor plays it a lot better, see "Duran Duran - Ordinary World (Live from London)"
Never, Warren rules.
Warren e muito foda nessa musica
