I’ve honestly been really enjoying these videos where Connor tries a bunch of different games. This one and the ones where he played the ones game companies sent him. It’s just so fun seeing all the different games and seeing Connor rage at them.
(Most of) these games are actually so well made though. These must of taken so much work and so many hours. They’re full on proper games. They’re great, I love them.
Except for one of the winners, the one he let LordKyubae vote for. It had very minimal interaction, a bunch of scribbles for art, the guy only found out about the contest the same day it was ending. It took just about no programming skills (looks like it was done in a visual novel maker) and had almost nothing to it other than memes and story. This was a game contest, not a short story contest. It was kind of a slap in the face to other participants to give that one a top reward, considering some of the work that went some of the other stuff.

That Rhythm Heaven monkey game has potential. They just need to make the beat more obvious by adding visual indicator and clean up the animation by making it snappier
I can actually answer that question. In the anime, we see at least one case of an old Pokemon that hasn't evolved. It has grown old and has wrinkles even though it's still it's first evolution state. This implies evolution and aging are entirely separate processes. So if a Togepi lives long enough without evolving, and it is able to become intelligent enough to understand what consent means and the implications of it, while having a clear way to express consent, then it would be able to consent. So just leave your Togepi in the PC Storage for 18 years or something.
I played them all, and I gotta say, the one I had the most fun with was Monkeet. The game had really simple and fun mechanics, it was challenging and tough, but not impossible and troll-y, had super awesome visuals(reminds me of the N64, which is my fave console!), and overall it was just a great experience, so I am happy to see it won a prize. Good job to everyone, though, you are all very talented game devs!
Paulina asking the important questions in life 😂 But to answer her question, it doesn't matter if the togepi evolves because evolution has nothing to do with age in the pokemon world. So she would have to wait 18 years and not evolve her togepi if she wanted to... wait why tf am I answering the question 😂😅
honestly wholeheartedly thank you connor for encouraging the rest of people whose games weren't looking the best/most optimsied to not give it up. For some its a hobby for others its a journey. So many people are afraid of doing mistakes, exposing themselves yo criticism or going through the awkward phase of learning and just doing ugly turns or silly mistakes. They were courageous on its own to show what they've done in that short time of frame. Especially if they havent been familiar already with this zone, are experimenting or plainly trying smth new for the sake of offering content for the community.
