I broke my right ACL skiing for the first time in september, I fell backwards in a slide with my knees pointing inwards and the right one made a really loud popping sound. When I see your videos I get reminded of that constantly, but watching you enjoy the same exact things that made me almost shit my pants every time I faced them skiing gives me joy. Keep it up!

You will very soon notice you cann ot stop anymore once you do that as the speed pulls you straight so you cant turn and slow down. Tgat why you always see them still carving a little bit to make sure if something happens you can stop. Also trust me once you are going 80km/h+ you want to be able to stop
The closest feeling I get to the « Freedom » feeling you feel when riding a motorcycle is when I get up early to be the first up the mountain with my board a go down a double black diamond as the sun rises, on a perfect, untouched slope where you are the very first to make a dent.
This is chair 23 in mammoth lakes, ca he’s going down cornice bowl, great run, going up chair 23 cornice is on the left and Scottie’s is on the right, you can also go down the backside from 23. To do Daves run you’ll need to take the gondola to the top. Or hike from 23.
So glad you got to experience mammoth… I’ve been snowboarding across the entire USA when I was younger and it’s by far the best mountain… there and Tahoe
This should be a universal snowboarder’s rule where if you want a coffee in the morning you have to go down a single slope to get to it so then you don’t need the coffee as much but you have fun getting it and are energised for going up the slope again
It’s awesome when Cornice Bowl lives up to its name and they don’t plow the giant cornice at the top of it. That makes the run hard, but not it is pretty easy to do.
I'd love to go to Mammoth but 1. I'm not in ANY experience in ANY snow sport except the sled and 2. It's in CA so I don't think we can go, and besides, we're going to Florida this summer!
My local is a crazy little 220 vert but they have a some pretty varied terrain some gentle slow ones and a short 35⁰ pitch and a shirt 40⁰ pitch which is actually extremely good practice for heavy hitter expert terrain even tho their so short.

I believe that's Cornice- which is a single black run. Mammoth has some scary terrain. Wipe Out and Drop Out Chutes, Climax and Hangman's are legit.
Also, that area is wild because there is an average 40mph wind even on a nice day.
