- Leviathan Testing Footage! Join us for an action packed New Atlantis update at Sea World on the Gold Coast in Australia! Leviathan, their new wooden roller coaster ride is daytime testing! Along with that we see what else is has changed in the new area since our last update, which includes some great progress on Trident's building. One big thing is standing out though: the HUGE statue is complete!
The New Atlantis is a brand new area opening December 2nd 2022 at Sea World! Featuring three rides:
Leviathan - a brand new wooden Roller Coaster!
Trident - A large Skyflyer ride shaped like a Trident!
Vortex - An intense Huss Top Spin flat ride
Sea World is a Theme Park / Amusement Park on the Gold Coast in QLD, Australia!

Only the third wooden coaster in Australia and the first wooden one built since 1985😮. Let's hope it's a big hit so it can pave the way for more wooden classics down under.

The buildup hype for the 2 rides has been unreal. Been waiting since they were announced in 2019 to go on them. I'm going on the 14 of December so hopefully it's open by then. I'm getting more hopeful every day as I see how fast it's progressing but fingers crossed🤞

Yup! Just like DC Rivals. Not many wooden coasters in the world offer a back seat option so it will be quite a unique experience.
90 seconds has to be the longest ride on the Gold Coast. I will be there the day it opens, so we might run into each other. I'll be the 1 with a black hat, sunglasses and holding a phone filming everything. JJ will probably be there as well

This area and coaster has outstanding theming, one of the best that I’ve seen on a wooden coaster, also 3:54 is such a good picture I like when the coaster faces the picture on the first drop with a bunch of trees in front of it
for the first time in 18 years since The Bush Beast from wonderland sydney, its amazing like many years later the new wooden roller coaster in Australia is back

The parks here almost never do that sadly. Though to be fair Leviathan was still under construction at the time.
from looking at the reels Seaworld has posted about Levo, honestly the theming is going to be on another level once this opens. so exciting!

I was there on Sunday, but no works or testing were occurring which isn’t surprising. I’ll definitely take the Friday off work for the opening day.
They're probably pretty confident that it will open on time if nothing's happening on the weekend, which is good news. Thanks for sharing. Super excited!

The original date was 2020! Been delayed a few times, but nice that it's finally been confirmed (Dec 2nd)

Leviathan's Revenge?
I think lethithan will be great however I have 2 worries I'm not coaster expert but it looks kind of rough however I might think this because I have never done a wooden coaster so I could be wrong. However the down time on it If it's a wooden coaster won't that mean more matainence and down time it looks so fun though I can't wait 😁
I've never done a woody either! I've heard that most of them are rough, but that it's apparently part of the charm.
As an American coaster enthusiast who has ridden a lot of woodies there’s nothing about this that looks rough, I would characterize a well constructed and maintained woodie as having a rumble as opposed to being rough. That being said Gravity Groups don’t have a strong reputation as far as smoothness goes. Mineblower was rough opening day somehow.
@@uu9rj Thanks for sharing! Rumble instead of rough eh? That's a good way to put it - I'll have to remember that! and yeah, I've heard horrible things about Mineblower. Here's hoping Leviathan never gets that bad...
On seaworld maintenance schedule it says Vortex is coming back December 1st SO maybe it will open then or shortly after 🤔
