Seaworld Penguin Encounter - Look Before You Book!

I did a penguin encounter back in 2006 and it has changed quite a bit. I believe at the time when I did it, it was a chinstrap penguin I was able to "pet" and it was probably around 80 dollars and lasted about 45 minutes to an hour. They also showed us around the arctic exhibit and talked about polar bears with us. It was interesting, but it was kind of sad we did not get to spend much time with the penguin itself. (I am a huge penguin person) so now that I see they have the up close encounter, I am actually going to do this sometime soon. It looks way better then what I had 15 years ago.

Hi Josie! That's crazy you did the experience 15 years ago! It's possible you did the 'Penguins Up Close' tour, if it existed then. Now a days this tour has a base price of $65.00 + tax.
If you are a penguin person, I would definitely recommend the Penguin Encounter since you didn't get to meet the Magellanic Penguins last time! Have a great time whatever you decide 😀
