- So I've finally beaten Persona Q and boy do I have a lot to say about it. It was a fantastic game that had a story that really touched the heart! I hope you enjoy me fanboying and rambling about it all, and let me know your thoughts about the game too, I'd love to discuss it with everyone in the comments. :)

Honestly I agree 100% about the tragedy aspect of pq,I actually never thought of the game in this perspective and low-ley my eyes watered watching you breaking it down.this game is special when it comes to spinoffs,so much passion and love.these games that atlus put there heart and soul into are really something special.(btw persona 3 is also my favorite persona game period so we p3 bros for life;)overall thanks for the review/final thoughts. im botta start pq2 myself can’t wait to see how our opinions differ/relate👍🏽👌🏽.
Yeah it’s honestly really sad, thinking about how things could’ve been different if they had not forgotten everything, I love SEES and it’s cool to think what if. And hell yes, P3 Bros For Life! 😎
I think I might play Persona Q, I want try the Link attacks and experience the story. Got to download it XD
Definitely give it a try. If you watched this your pretty spoiled on the main story but all of the funny fanservice events with the P3 and P4 cast are still worth getting the game for. And link attacks too, so much fun I swear!

I hope you enjoyed this video. Usually I script my videos but I decided to go unscripted and give my raw thoughts, so sorry that I say 'like' so much and that I'm all over the place, hopefully as I do more unscripted stuff I'll get better at it lol.
Also big welcome to all the new people! I don't know how it's happening but seriously welcome! The channel's growing so fast and its honestly insane, I'm at a loss for words. Thank you all so much for the insane support, it genuinely means the world to me. Making RUclips videos has been so much fun and I'm glad all of you seem to be enjoying the videos too. More videos to come as always, stay tuned, stay safe, and have a good day everyone. :D
Siege>personaq change my mind
The only thing i liked in persona q is because the persona 3 and 4 protagonists talking in their campaigns
Okay so I've been watching your videos and these are really high quality and you don't even have 500 subs
I first found you through the Phantom Thieves Among Us video and watching your reviews its just- amazing. Your channel is a hidden gem among hidden gems
Thanks so much man! This is honestly the nicest comment I’ve ever gotten, making me blush lol 😊
"You filthy casual" every dark souls player ever
I could be wrong, but in the PSP game, FEMC is basically just as bland as the male silent protag. So you wouldn't be missing much (or anything), but if you still want to check for yourself, these are the "new" things FEMC's side has:
1 - Some social links are replaced with new ones that allow you to interact (and some cases, optionally date) your team members. Akihiko (Star), Junpei (Magician), Koromaru (Strength), Ken (Justice), Shinjiro (Moon). This lets you bound and learn more about your own teammates.
1 B: Your social links with your female teammates changed to varying extents: In Fuuka's, rather than taste her food, you help her cook it. Yukari and Mitsuru are mostly the same, with smaller differences here and there.
1 C: brand new social links that aren't team members: Hermit and Chariot.
2 - During Summer, you go to a training camp with a cameo of a certain P4 character, albeit younger. Also, you pass a little (but amusing) time with your teammates.
3 - Persona wise, your starter Persona is Orpheus but with boobs. But it supposedly has the same stats / etc as the original.
4 - Instead of swords, you use Naginatas.
This game is honestly really underrated for me, I see a lot of people talk about Q2 more and while the game is good I think the story in this one felt more amazing, incredible review!
Yeah I've heard that too, that Q2 is just more fanservice and that Q really delivers on the story-side. I'm excited to get around to Q2 so I can see for myself, and thanks btw! :D
Yeah I played through both pq and pq2 when pq2 came out and I loved he games for long trips, and it just made me happy to play, but the ending and plot twists got to me that. Good games, 100% recommend.
Life keeps going on... We need to keep our treasures so we will never truely forget them. Not the warped desires that allow us to justify our shitty actions, but the good things... Rei lived... And that's what matters.
Your channel has a bright future!
Thank you! :)
PQ is probably my favourite game in the franchise, it was hilarious, sad, scary, meaningful, etc. The game is just too good
Oh my god the first time I got jumpscared in the hospital dungeon I was playing late at night and it genuinely freaked me out lol
HeavenlyM the first time it happened I legit fell off my chair because the sound was so loud
I haven't really gotten into Q but I knew they lost their memories, but damn talking about the fact that they'll never meet Makoto ever again really made me sad.
Spoilers:
In PQ2, Akechi didn't wanna go back, because he knew what waited for him.
@ yes sir.
WAIT NO
Honestly, I hope and wish they figure out a way to port both PQ and PQ2 to Switch somehow so more people can play these games.
I think they did a really good job at keeping true to both themes of Mortality from P3 and accepting yourself from P4 in Rei's character. Between the P3 and P4's arcs and Zen&Rei's story, I felt like I learned a lot from this game.
This game holds a very special place in my heart for not only being the only persona game I can play, but I have good memories of playing the game on the bus home from school.
I would love a what if about what would happen if they never lost their memories.
To be honest I think people do talk about Q. But not in the good way. Not focusing on the good and focusing on the bad. Which I can agree with the bad. The bad being how the characters are reduced to 1 joke stereotypes. But indeed Q has its good stuff. Like Zen and Rey's storyline. The battle system. The persona system. I can be somewhat critical of games as. I will never play P3P's FEMC side due to reasons I dont wanna say yet as I dont know if you finished seeing as there's no P3P review or Q2 review from you yet. But I just can never play P3P FEMC.
I love both PQ games (I pre-ordered PQ2). I want more but I'm not sure if a third is possible with the map system and the death of the 3DS and rise of the Switch. I really should play them again.
Im looking foward to the 3 persona games coming to the Switch. Since my vita died I haven't played 3 and 4 in awhile. And handhelds have always been easier for me because of my health.
1:35 If you played P3 Side first that's not a tragedy
Elizabeth literally Tells Makoto The whole story meaning Makoto Yuki definitely Remembers the events of Q
this happens Right at the beginning of Side P3
I'll consider getting PQ at some point in the future. I actually did buy PQ2 when it was on sale completely skipping out on Q (not like I had a choice, really, my 3DS can only hold so much memory).
It's interesting to see some of the differences in gameplay between Q and Q2 though, the Nav Meter is only 1 bar per use in Q as appose to 2 bars per in Q2? That would've certainly helped...
Discovered this channel recently hope to see more good work!
welcome! :D
@@HeavenlyM I also put you on my featured channels I also do persona stuff you deserve more subs
also links + circles are staples in etrian games so if you love that in the combat, consider playing etrian odyssey iv or etrian odyssey untold!!
For sure! Now that I’ve finished Q2 I’m definitely gonna play some of the EO games at some point, got a long backlog but after the fun I’ve had with both Q games I’m definitely gonna give the actual series a shot sometime in the future, no doubt! :)
I'm still sad that P2 never made it into any of the cross over games. I wonder how the other characters would react upon finding out Maya was born in 1979.
Ren: “Maya’s kinda cute”
Ryuji: “Dude she’s like 40!”
Ren: “Have you SEEN MY HAREM ROUTE?!?!”
Hey I really like your videos. I hope you’re able to put out more content consistently. I’m going through a lot so these types of videos really help me get by. Best of luck on your channel.
I'm on dungeon 3 currently
Hey dude when did you make your channel I'm surprised you don't have over 5000 subs because your videos are so cool and entertaining. Keep going man I can't wait for more videos!
Thanks for the support! :) I only started at the beginning of August so my channel is pretty young
90 hours?! Holy fuck.
Honestly probably like 10 or so was probably me doing something else or going on my phone but with my 3Ds still running
This video is a bit old but I dunno I feel like do a large comment, so hope you don't mind.
I played EOU and P3P and 4 vanilla before playing Q, and I can say that I really really loved the game, but, I personaly can't recommend it.
The story is incredible and I really agree with all you said, about how sad it is in many layers, (Since P3 is my favorite Persona too I agree even more to that parts, tho I like to think that they didn't really forget all since they supposed to forget everythin related to the Dark Hour too and they remembered it), how awesome are the interactions of the gangs, the Velvet siblings acting like siblings, Zen and Rei themselfs, Everything about the story is awesome, but the gameplay...
First of all maybe I have a little of guilt since I tried to use everyone (everytime someone leveled up I changed they for other until everyone had the same level again and repeat), but still somethings still remain. The combat in core isn''t bad, but have much much problems that are derived for the combination of EO and Persona gameplay (Or at least is what I think): First there are the things with the AOA and the down, but that is only the tip of the iceberg, the SP system is very poor executed, in EO the wastage isn't as hard as Persona, the only thing that make you exit the labyrinth is the inventory limit, so the labyrinths are made to explore them more time, but in PQ you had the very little amount of SP, so the solutions the game give you is or kill everyone without using more SP that the Sub-Persona extras, or boost always you can, the problem is that you can't really do the second since mos of the enemies don't have weaknesses, so if you want to just attack you gonna drain your SP hyper fast, but you neihter can do the first because nothing do much damage, well, you can do the first, in this game the instakill spells are insanelly broke, but if you don't want to go back yet since if you don't found the shortcut is more easy to just kill everything quick, and that could be a little boring, but the combat could be very frustating and unfair, in the third labyrinth the shadows can make you weak to the all party skill element they have, so sometimes you can't attack or heal. And that's just the worst thing to me, I have more complains like how useless are the magic users in bosses and in the other hand how broke are the physics, more with Fuuka, Fuuka is just broke herself, or how the labyrinths are insanely large, (and not thought to the battle system), or even how the FOEs fight are just or hyper easy after finsishing the labyrinth, or just ext not enjoyable, and very annoying placed, but I don't want to complain so much because even with that the game was really enjoyable, I loved it and every stroll event gave me force to continue playing.
So yeah, I really liked your videos about Persona Q and others too, nice work, and sorry for just rant about the gameplay, waiting for more things :D.
Hahaha don’t feel bad about the rant, I enjoyed reading it. I agree with pretty much everything you said.
Those 3rd labyrinth shadows that make you weak are the most annoying thing ever, pretty much forced you to cheese with Hama/Mudo. And yeah how they changed AOA and downs really ticked me off, should’ve just been like normal Persona imo, I believe this is what Q2 does but haven’t played it yet.
And yeah SP was the worst, I can see what they tried to do with it but yeah, after like 2 spells on a Boss pretty much any non-phys character was useless, I realized that pretty early on so I gave them Link Skills so they could still help out, but yeah that was seriously so annoying, especially since over half the roster is a more spell-based character. And yeah enemies were really beefy, that or we’re just really weak, so it made it even worse that you had to conserve SP so hard, I really didn’t want to Hama/Mudo but I felt like I had to at times.
It definitely became less of a fun grind by the end of the game for sure, but same with you, strolls and the story just kept me going.
@@HeavenlyM Oh I'm happy you enjoyed my rant, and yeah Q2 is a real improvement in combat, it's much more easy to boost so the SP isn't a problem anymore and just that make the battles more fun, and yeah AOA just act like always, even the game encorage you to do AOA and it's super fun, just for saying some things. (I didn't finished the game yet but had deffinetly better gameplay)
Tho I have to say that the Clock tower was actually isn't that bad, it was better designed and the spiders didn't kill all your party if you accidentally touch it.
But still after all that I think that the Q games are still amazing spin-offs. Just sad that the first is so hard to play.
PD: Yeah the links are very cool, but poisoning is extremly powerful in bosses too.
Bro wtf earlier today you had like 840 now you have almost 1000, nonetheless, congratulations! This has nothing to do with the video but I decided to post this on your latest video since that's what I'm watching now
Hahaha thanks mate, I appreciate it, it really is crazy lol
GIVE ME Q2 DAMMIT
The graphics were actually really good if you used 3d. It feels like atlus truly did as much as they could with the 3ds hardware. Was dissapointed when q2 didn't have it.. Oh and also don't expect a very good story from q2...It was nowhere near as good as q in my opinion. It's more just about fanservice in q2.
I only have the 2DS so I never got to see it in 3D, but from playing my friends 3DS’ I feel like 3D always gave me a headache lol, but yeah Atlus definitely did their best, my complaint was more towards the 3DS than anything else, like if you look at HD emulator gameplay this game becomes even more gorgeous, it’s just the normal 3DS can’t handle it unfortunately. I’ll definitely keep that in mind with Q2, I was expecting that with Q but then things turned out really interesting, but all fan service isn’t all that bad either.
@@HeavenlyM Oh I see. I never really used the 3d before either but in a turn based dungeon crawler it works pretty well! Since youre like not really moving around.
I tried the 2nd one and was thrown off but after watching this I’ll give the first one a try
I think the only thing that drags the game down is Teddie's amplified annoying interjections and some annoying design choices (paying for healing). PQ2 is the better game but imo PQ1 had better interactions and story.
Agreed on Teddie. Everytime he showed up I knew he was only joining the conversation to be a perv, LITERALLY everytime. They reduced him just to that and it got kinda old.
2:45 what game is this footage from? that looks wayyy too good to be 3ds
Persona 3 Dancing
I wish I could have a pc to dowload citra or have a Nintendo 3ds :/
Hey can you tell me about the first song in this video?
Pretty sure it’s “A map to tomorrow” from Persona Q
You live up to your name because of that thumbnail.
Fastest click
It took me 50 hours
I like Q but the battle system is such a downgrade from main persona.
Then Q2 happened and the writing took a nosedive...
I thought it was different but still pretty good. I just wish All Out Attacks were more guaranteed, my biggest pet peeve in that game is that AOAs were RNG and enemies didn’t get knocked down 100% of the time like they do in other games when you hit their weakness. And yeah I’ve heard that about Q2 but honestly I’m just hype to finally get to see the Phantom Thieves again
@@HeavenlyM yeah I'm just an rpg mechanic fan, after ffx and SMT/persona Q just felt kinda flacid, though the cool new skills did help.
Great game, it says. The whole review is about the silly characters and plot. As a grown up, this is disappointing.
I talked about that more in the first video, this is more an ending and final thoughts kinda deal
You took all this time to review this game when you could have just said siege is better. Smfh you copper
Also watch demon souls now
