HEY Nick.. not bad.. good idea.. think another twist to try is to peel off the paper on the outside face and draw in either cut stone or random rock.. trace with the knife gently and/or use a pencil over the lines to put in the mortar lines.. could the. Paint amd dry brush to suit.. ?
@railfanfromiantha Thanks, its just a much cheaper alternative to buying castings, especially if you have a large area to cover like I did. The ones I almost bought would have cost me about $60.00, these cost me maybe a dollar! lol
@esiegel76 thanks Eric! Its a simple and cheap way to make cement looking walls that are surprisingly realistic when finished. Plus you can make them any shape & size.
Nice atempt. You would be better if you would not move the camera so fast and use a tripod. Why not change the placement of the camera to the other side of the table (or place where you were assembling the wall) so we wouldn't get your arms and the back of your hand so much. Great ideas but you need to work on your video.
Hi, cool, enjoyed the video. check out my layout "Dean Park Station"...it in Hornby Magazine November 2016. I've subb'd to your channel so look forward to seeing more. Dave
Very interesting way to make these. I will have to remember this if I need to make retaining walls.
