- Ah, this video is so exciting! Enjoy 20 minutes of me trying to recreate fancy foods from the Netflix series Bridgerton, seasons 1 and 2. I had so much fun with this!
I made savory pies for the time ever, tried cozy chai and lemonade slushies, sweet lemon tea cakes and delicious gooseberry sugar cookies. Which series should I cover next?
If you’re recreating any of these ideas, please tag me on instagram, i’m @mina_rome over there.

INGREDIENTS & NOTES
#1 Kate’s Tea
3-5 cardamom pods
1 tsp whole cloves
1 teaspoon black tea leaves (i used Assam)
~ ¾ cup water (180ml)
1-2 tsp brown sugar
~ ¼ cup non dairy milk (60ml)
→ serves 1
#2 Daphne’s Pies
for the dough:
300g all purpose flour (2 ½ cups)
1 tbsp cornstarch
160ml (⅔ cup) water
150g vegan butter (⅔ cup or 5.29 oz)
¾ tsp salt
pinch of nutmeg
dash of pepper
PLUS:
1-3 more tsp of cornstarch to work into the dough when kneading it for the first time
about 1 tbsp flour sprinkled over your surface when kneading it for the second time, after the dough has been in the fridge for 2 hours
for the filling:
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
450g - 500g cremini mushrooms (16 - 17.6 oz), chopped into small cubes
1 tbsp vegan butter
¼ cup white wine (60ml) (sub w 2 tbsp soy sauce or 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce)
200g frozen kale (or spinach), defrosted (or pretty much defrosted)
¼ cup vegan cream (60ml)
lots of salt and pepper to taste !
optional but recommended: ½ tsp lemon zest + 1 tbsp lemon juice
→ yields 4 pies
→ use 4 small to medium pie pans or ramekins (10 - 15 cm, 4 - 6 inch)
→ serve w vegan gravy, bbq sauce, tahini, hummus, fresh veggies
#3 The Young Ladies’ Lemonade Slushies
½ tsp to 1 tsp lemon zest
45 ml fresh lemon juice (¼ cup minus 1 tbsp , or juice of 1-2 lemons)
2 tbsp agave syrup
8 - 12 ice cubes
if needed: a splash of water to help blending
1-2 handfuls fresh berries
optional: edible flours for decorating
→ yields 2-3 glasses
#4 Lemon Wedding Tea Cakes
use a small baking sheet around 29 x 33 cm in size (11 x 13 inch)
for the cake:
150 sugar (¾ cup)
125ml vegetable oil (½ cup)
3 tbsp applesauce
zest of 1 lemon
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla
(250ml) non-dairy milk
360g all-purpose or spelt flour (3 cups)
3 tsp baking powder
¾ tsp salt
if needed: 2-3 tbsp water if the batter feels a little thick
I tried following this fondant recipe:
• No Gelatin No Agar Aga...
Would recommend this frosting idea here:
100g cashews, boiled for 30 min (3,5 oz = 2/3 cup)
1 Tbsp vegan butter or coconut oil
60 ml + 1 Tbsp full fat coconut milk (1/4 cup + 1 Tbsp)
2-3 Tbsp maple syrup (or more if you like)
1/2 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
→ blend up everything until smooth! either tamp down the ingredients as you’re blending in a blender, or scrape down the sides a few times when using a food processor
also: berries and baking decor of choice for serving
#5 Jam Sandwich Cookies
100g vegan butter at room temp! (3.5 oz or ½ cup minus 1 tbsp)
1 tsp vanilla or a few drops vanilla aroma
35g apple sauce (2 heaping tbsp)
75g sugar (⅓ cup plus 1 tbsp)
180g flour (1 ½ cups)
generous pinch of salt
PLUS: 1 - 2 tbsp cornstarch for the surface (add enough until the dough is no longer super sticky, but feels easy to work with)
a little flour to cover the rolling pin in just before rolling
I used an 8 cm donut cutter ; you can use a glass around the same size and then a smaller round cutout, 2 - 3 cm in size, maybe the top of a glass bottle, or go in with a knife to create the cut outs!
Remember, only half the cookies need a cutout
6 heaping tsp gooseberry jam, or any other jam you prefer
a little powdered sugar for serving
→ yields around 12 cookies, around 6 large sandwiches
Much love,
Mina

I love how she had tulips in the background the whole video!! Not sure if it was intentional but it reminded me of when Daphne's mom is embroidering tulips for her because they symbolize "passion"
*Spoiler for S2 ahead*
It's also very fitting since Anthony gives Kate tulips to symbolize his love for her.
And another detail: in S2:Ep 3- Benedict Bridgerton has a tulip pattern vest during their game of pall mall 🌷
Haven’t seen the show, but the food looks amazinggg!! 💕
aw thanks for watching my video anywayyy
The show is also good😊
You’ve really outdid yourself with the pies, they look so GOOD!!
Tried the pies, used your leaf-decoration and got several compliments on the pies! Thank you for the recipe :]
Hi Mina, I'm not personally a vegan but have been making so many of your recipes that I thought I'd share something I have been making a lot recently!
(this makes around two or three servings)
CHOCOLATE CHIA SEED 'MOUSSE'
INGREDIENTS:
4tbsp chia seeds
2tbsp cocoa powder
3-4tbsp maple syrup (or sweetener of your choice - add more/less depending on your preference)
200ml of soy/oat or another plant-based milk (add more/less to adjust the consistency)
HOW TO MAKE:
1. Blend the chia seeds until you have a fine powder (make sure the blender is before blending so the chia doesn't stick!).
2. Combine everything else using the blender.
3. Add some optional toppings like berries, granola, or chocolate chips and you're done!
It can be eaten straight away since the the consistency should be quite thick if done correctly, but it can be refrigerated :)
What ingredient are the other 2 tablespoons for? Is it cocoa powder or chocolate cream?
@@kathahahn20 Hey sorry about that it's cocoa powder! I like to add some cacao nibs at the very end for a crunch
Omg I love Bridgerton, thank you so. frickin. much. - gonna make all theseeee. 😍 Thank you Minaaa, you did it once again. I love this. :))
yayyy hope these work for you (but give me like another 45 min to add the description haha)
@@Mina_Rome Ahaha, of course! Have to study still anyways, so no cookies for me today. :') But tomorrow I will surely make these, they look soo good!! Thank you for the work and effort you put in
What a cute idea I loved it. Your top is adorable. Featherington or not🥰
haha thank u
The top is not ridiculous! It’s really pretty. I’d happily wear that top out anywhere.
I am completely mindblown at the amount of time and energy you put into these videos, I enjoy them so much! This is 100% the content I signed up for 🥰
Beautiful video 🤩 thanks for using my music. It fit perfectly!!!!
I love it that you took Bridgerton for a topic this time! I'm completely madly in love with the series tbh
I absolutely love the foods, they look gorgeous. It was so nice to listen to this video while designing my own Bridgerton inspired cork board for a wall, though I must say I was distracted and needed to look at the visuals quite often
My favorite series and my favorite food youtuber together? What could go wrong? *-*
the ambiance, the music, the recipes themselves - everything is soo beautiful and just incredible!✨
‘Super simple like regency times…add to a blender’ made me chuckle 😂 love all these those pies look insane! ❤️
I love this! And I love that you tried to sorta match your outfits with the era 😄And for the fondant, that's actually an awfully complicated recipe. I've tried one consisted on a very concentrated syrup (sugar + water + glucose) which, when reached a certain temp, you remove it from heat and start pounding it until it's cold and reaches the "gummy" state.
loved this vid
thank you so much!!
I don‘t watch the show but recreating these foods is such a cool idea! I definitely wanna make some of these recipes as soon as i can find flour in the supermarket again, haha! Those cookies looked sooo goood!
The next time you do a recreating Foods from movies/shows could you do foods from Narnia.
If you plan on working with fondant soon again Mina, you could try marshmallow fondant istead with vegan mallows, it may be fitting for you to work with
that does sound interesting
I second this suggestion! The vegan mallows melt well, and you mix it with cornstarch and extra vegan butter to add the elasticity and stability against the icing sugar 👍👍
I can’t wait to make all of these omg
The mushrooms pies look especially good! I just finished season 2 two days ago this the timing is perfect. I'm ready for season 3 lol
As a Bridgerton fan I think these all look incredible!
I love your channel. It has such a calm vibe, and a lot of it has to do w your voice and presentation. There's also so much food content out there but you give this a new twist w your recreation videos
Hey, I loved this video! I live in Hungary and we have a very similar dessert to the sugar cookies, called linzer. It was created after the 1848 revolution and named after a lieutenant. Grandmas make it very often, usually with peach jam. 😊
I love your channel, thanks for doing this. I feel like I would compete with Colin to get the most food on my plate if I lived in this verse. I'm so excited to see your creations.
LOVE this! I am a lover of "fancier" cooking, historical recipes, and the whole aesthetic of afternoon tea menus, but finding doable vegan recipes for those sorts of foods can be so difficult! This was lovely and you obviously put loads of time and effort into it!!! Much love! ❤
I love these videos so much!
great video! could you recreate food from the 2000s and 2010s barbie movies some time? i looooved watching them as a kid and always wanted to have the food irl!!!
This cup you borrowed from a friend. I had the same. It was my favorite cup. My friend broke it recently accidentally and I think about it a lot. I miss it. It was a gift too 😔
This was perfect! Thank you Mina 💕💕💕
The one video I didn't know I needed
I absolutely LOVE this video idea! 😍 the recipes look so delicious too, well done! 👏🏽
Woke up to this and did a little happy dance! :) adore you're food recreational videos, they are really creative, look supremely delicious and get so excited to see which film/book/show is being chosen. Have not seen Bridgerton, yet all of these recipes look stellar, think with Easter coming up, these will have to be tried out! Thankyouu! 💕
aw thank you for watching! as always lmk how these work for u!
Love this video 😍 Those pies look so nice and the fondant cakes are so cute. I love how when Anthony and Kate wear purple, it's like their two families are starting to come together (blue + pink)
This video is perfect, I cannot wait to try these recipes!
love the idea!! 🍰🏰
I binged the whole second season i’m ONE NIGHT! Thanks for the new recipes!🥰
I really love these videos!
This was so fun. I haven't seen the new season yet but this gets me so excited to watch it!
Love this! And the music was perfect 🥰
I was waiting for this since you posted it on your Instagram 🥰
hope it's worth the wait!
ooohh, those lemon cakes are so cute. I think vegan marzipan would be so good on them. It's also a bit easier and more affordable to make than fondant, although it's pain in the a to roll it out 🥰
Love the amount of effort you put into your videos
please do more of these with like different shows its amazing!!!! 💟💟
Omg so exciting 😍
i just made the lemon tea cakes and omg they were really good i love your cake recipes 🖤🤍💛
Awesome! Did you make the fondant or the frosting haha
@@Mina_Rome lol no i used a drizzling of sweetened condensed milk since in vegetarian 😂
Looks so amazing will try it!🥰
Your videos are so cosy.
Super nice recipes! I love your outfit in the last recipe 😍
Ich bin voll ausgeflippt als ich den iglo grün Kohl gesehen habe, ich fand das so cool 😂
Hey Mina. First of all - nice video! I enjoyed it very much, like every of your videos tbh 😊
I have to say that i like these type of videos the most, where you recreate food from series or movies. And recently i have read a comment under one of your videos in which someone suggested a Studio Ghibli themed video and i absolutely live for this idea!! It would be so nice so see what you can do out of the food from these wonderful movies. I really hope you consider it!🥰
Lots of love❤
I really love this series Id love to see more recreating food from shows /movies
This video brought me so much peace
🥺❤️
just finished watching the show and I am sooo sad that I can't watch it anymore. So this is peeeerfect 😍
The EFFORT that went into this video wow girl u rly outdid yourself 🤩
such a lovely video to watch
Thanks for making this and sharing!!
This video pure gold
Great snack/ appetizer / side dish idea:
Cut a washed and DRIED cauliflower into florets. ( The pieces of cauliflower must be completely dry or else the toppings will clump and turn into mush!!!).
Coat the florets with a mixture of peanut butter, olive oil, salt and pepper ( every piece must have a thin layer of your oily dressing).
The final step is to coat your now oily pieces of cauliflower in nutritional yeast. If you want more flavour you can also add some garlic and tomato flakes. I like to add some Hungarian vegetable soup powder.
Please let me know if you made this and liked it.
Enjoy!
10:19. In Regency Times they had Hamilton Beach Blenders. Ha ha. Love your videos, going to do the lemon slushies.
These are my favourite videos of you
These all look delicious! I definitely want to make the cookies 😋 I've never seen gooseberry anything here but now want find it lol
It’s amazing. Thank you
You really make me wanna start my own channel, all of your backing seems so fun
Wow 🤩!!! They all look amazing!!! I’m so thrilled to see this!!! Now I might try out to get it gluten-free as well. Will definitely try the mushroom pies and cookies. Viele Grüße aus den USA 💗
I would love a The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel edition! Love your videos!
So much effort is put in this video🥰💞 thank you
These look so pretty and delicious! I liked your black and white top as well :)

Wow wow thank you so much!
Dang, I haven’t even started season 2 yet, and your already making food based from both seasons😍
Always enjoy beautiful & gorgeous Mina's food recreation video's. Mushrooms and Kale was a good vegan alternative for the pies. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Mina.
so many beautiful flowers in your background! thanks for the video :)
thank you for watching it!
Loved this video! You should do more tv/movie food recipes!
Already tried the tea, it's sooo good! Can't wait to try out the other recipes :)

Hey Mina, i have a healthy pb souffle recipe for you😊
~Ingredients:
5 tbsp of oats
200 ml of milk (any kind you want)
1 tbsp ofcacao powder
3 tbsp of molasses
Some pb
10 grams of baking powder
~How to make it:
• Grind the oats (you can just use oat flour as well)
• Mix all of the ingredients except pb
• Pour the mixture into a ramekin till it covers the bottom
• Add a tbsp of pb to the middle of the ramekin then pour the rest of the mixture
• Bake it in a 200°C degree preheated oven for 10 minutes (Check it if it's done once in a while)
Bon appetit!
This recipe is a friend of mine and i'd be so happy if you tried it💕Plus you can use up the leftover molasses from before this way. Anyways, you really inspire me, i love you💌💌
can it be microwaved too?
@@kimmyzlifee I mean tecnically you can do it in a microwave but i dont know how long you would have to bake it for
Awesome video!
I CAN WATCH YOUR RECREATED FOOD VIDEOS ALL THE TIME WITHOUT GETTING BOARD, YHRY ARE THE BEST😍😍
I’ve made Kate’s tea a few times already and I really like it x
❤️❤️❤️
You are so damn talented
I love this recipe series! Could you please do some recipes from Outlander?
oh my god no, you just didn't.. i love this show so much! now i have to watch second season to watch your video, i can't wait!
Anthony on the thumbnail ❤️🔥
I really don't like him, he seems so arrogant. 😭 Simon all the way, I really don't like the other men there, haha (but a sad "haha" tho).
Really cool video!
OK but how do you feel about recreating foods from disney movies? Like the animated ones
Something I did not know I needed…
cosy
it's funny how fondant is still a thing although nobody seems to like it and just peels it off the cake.
Marzipan could be an alternative
Hahahaha 🥲
do not have vegan butter here in india, Plz share any substitute. Thanks
I love oatmilk n almond milk mmm
Please do Ghibli movie foods if you haven’t already!!
you should have made petits fours, with loose fondant icing glaze of rollable. preppy kitchen has a really good recipe for anyone interested
💛💛💛
nice, that you mention to substitute the oil with vegan butter. In Bavaria it is virtually impossible to get some vegetable/ sunflower-oil
Same here (check organic stores tho!)
What kinds of lights do u use in your videos? The lighting is always so soft and beautiful 🥺🌸
Thank you! Mostly natural light! Sometimes also a godox videolight ✨
