I am from the uk but the information you give is truly amazing. I am having prolotherapy treatment for bicep tendonitis that has caused nerve impingement aswell. My osteopath was treating me for costocondritis aswell which made my shoulder and surrounding musclas tighten up as he was manipulating my rib area. We both agreed to stick just the needlework next time as my upperbody was given to much to do. Plus it aggravated the nerve irritation. But your explanation of the shoulder joint highlights the need for good strong stable muscles in the shoulder area.

@@CaringmedicalProlotherapyprolotherapy partially worked after three treatments but not completely. It is not comprehensive like yours is. You are very thorough with the treatment and widespread with it too.

So to understand this prolotherapy treatment. These prolotherapy injections are directly injected into the ligaments under ultra sound guidance? Is there any potential side effects with these injections going into the ligaments? Thank you.

I was diagnosed w/ DISH in summer of 2022. I also have a pinched nerve from 10/21. & many more diagnoses. By 5:00 p.m. EVERY DAY, I'm ready to go to THE ER and get an injection to just KNOCK ME OUT OF MY MISERY - AGONIZING, EXCRUCIATING, UNBEARABLE, DEBILITATING PAIN in neck, traps, shoulders & back.

The last thing you said, Danielle, about hanging to get the shoulder back, instead of so forward... wouldn't that only be after treatment? My shoulders are very rounded and unstable from CCI and I sometimes get a feeling like something in my shoulder temporarily 'catches' if my posture is really bad. I have to rotate it a certain way and adjust my posture, to get it back to feeling right. If I did some hanging right now, I wouldn't be surprised if I sublexed my shoulder.

Hi Angela, Good question. Yes, we recommend it for some patients, but only once the joint was strong/stable enough to take that kind of force correctly. Wishing you and the family all the best!

I have this and my shoulders are incredibly instable, constantly subluxated almost :/ Due to Ehler Danlos syndrome.
