The old PowerFunctions IR RC components are so much easier to work with. Don't need to find an extra smartphone as controller, and simple click-and-ready is very kid-friendly.
PF is so fun, I wish lego didn't have to replace it with Powered up in 2021. I use power functions because it doesn't need a smartphone and because of budget cuts
Yeah they are retiring PF in a few months so if you do need motors I recommend getting them ASAP lol before the wave of people who buy them all in new year from LEGO Stores
Nice video and good idea. We have quite a bit of duplo lying around. I think I will check how my robot moc from this model deals with the different challenges. When trying to climb he will probably fall over^^. I think this was the last relatively cheap RC set that can be played without a smartphone. Soon they will be missed a lot.
I am actually searching for information on RC conflicts between two sets of same car. I have two sons and if I buy two indentical sets how remote controllers not conflicting? Are there some kind of channel choices switches?
There are switches on both the remote and the receiver, you can choose between 4 channels. But this is valid for Power Functions sets only with infrared control that are retired some time ago. The newer LEGO RC sets use Bluetooth, there you need to pair the devices one by one with different smart devices.
It's so good to see that you spend time with your child/children. It is very important!😄
I wish I had those they look so fun

Yeah that's why I just bought 6 power function components to make myself a lego car that I can drive

Yah
@@adrian_zombturtle148 so what? Technic isn't easy as it is. I'm a system builder.

This functionality can be replicated with PU as well, you get the AAA hub, 2 motors and the remote.

@@amirpenkar947 what about custom motors that are like a better version of PF but not stupid like PU?
@@موسى_7 I mean BuWizz is definitely better but it's also really expensive, depends on what you want
i made the b model from this set. I swapped the sprockets around and added rubber inserts, i highly recommend it, so much fun!
I did the a model but i had to put the batetry box so it is not constantly wheeling
(Put the battery box lower)
It's so weird to see the amodek without stickers since it's covered in them

🤔Lego got to step up the game and put 18650 or cell phone battery "USB" or better yet lipo...(I do wonder can Lego stability strong enough)
I will try that with this set and the green "brother" 42065. Thanks for your inspiration!
That should work well :)

Ukk
U unbrickme?????????
I love your video its so good!!!!!
Fun stuff! Have yet to own any remote control LEGO. Perhaps should bite the bullet and get one this kind of looks fun!
i cant decide what model to build a model looks better for me but the b model drives better
Mines weird if u put both sticks forward it just spins
flip one of the little switches under the stick
Mom: Why don't you play with Powered Up sets?
Me: Budget Cuts
because power functions is better actually
Really nice idea for video. Have a nice day
Great idea! Great vid!
How do you change from A model to B model?
Rebuild it?
@@RacingBrick but how do you take it apart? You can't take apart technic.
Then you need to buy another one
@@hooman999 actually you can take apart technic
@@probricks5035 not very easily
I just turned my 42095 parts into a RC Formula 1 MOC.
Cool
Nice
How did you do that without an servo motor?
I don’t know what’s happened to mine it’s so dodgy
Top video
I did something sorta similar by crashing an rc Tesla into lego brick walls. I had a lot of fun by smashing into walls etc.
nice video! What about a tour of all your Lego?!
Most of my LEGO is in a warehouse currently and will stay there for a few months until we find our new place, so that'll have to wait
I believe showcasing causes bad energy caused by people's jealousy. Better to be humble, even if people ask you nicely to showcase.
Really nice and interesting!
props to you for high tolerance of children!
His name is literally racingbrick and he didn't race 😔
That was for the family, I was filming :)
