    Hi again. Noticed on the Control+ app that Lego have released a new RC car, which uses a single XL and L motor, so unplugged one of the motors, and re-arranged the connections (uses B + D as marked on the 4*4 buggy), and was able to control successfully. Thinking now of taking the top motor out, so that I can put the rear seats back in. Will see what that does to the traction...
    Also, made some changes under the bonnet so that I could put the winch back in. Needed to push the controller/battery box back a hole (and one higher), but the bonnet still sits correctly.

    • @grohl666
      @grohl666  4 года назад +2

    Very nice! Just the motorising of it is quite challenging but you managed to make it with amazing functions! The MOC is perfectly playable with gearbox and what the hell?? A central differantial lock? Unbeliavable. One question: If you have two XL motors driving front and rear shafts, then you don't need the central differantial because of the independent movement, so it's always locked. But I guess both of your XL motors are connected to one shaft through the gear box. Is that true? Really amazing. Thank you for the video!

    Are the instructions out yet?. So basically it’s about £150 for the landrover and then the parts needed to turn it into this RC another £100 or so?. Where do you get the parts from also for the motorised chassis?. Sorry new to Technic Lego brilliant video! 👍

      The link for the instructions is in the description. And the parts to make it RC might be even more - Honestly, I would recommend getting the 42099 set as well and that way you have all the necessary parts+ you have another set to play with and you could as well build the B model I designed for it - just search for 42099 in my channel.

    That doesn’t go very fast for me to warrant putting motors in it. I’d rather leave it intact as a shelf model I can mess with a bit. To each their own, though. Right. Great job, otherwise.

      If you want decent offroad capabilities, you need power not speed.

    In 3”31 sometimes when changing gears under the car there is a phenomenon that part 18947 does not match with blue gears. I wonder if this situation can be fixed. Thank you

      Just turn the gears a bit more - since you are trying to technically shift two gearboxes at the same time, the "teeth" on the elements might hit each other.

    Nice work! I wish I had the talent to modify models like this. Once upon a time I probably did but I'm well out of practice now!
