There was a gang on the Eastside called the Avenues that Raymond Washington wanted to join.The founder of the Avenue's, Craig Monson had a little brother that didn't get along with Raymond so they wouldn't let him join...So therefore he decided to make his own gang called Da Baby Avenue Cribs... The Baby Avenue Cribs soon became the Crips when he linked up with Tookie on the Westside....
After him and Tookie linked,they both spread the Crip gang to Watts & than Compton...
Than in 1972,A gang on the Westside called the Brims was an independent powerhouse that rivaled the Crips,
Someone from Brims got killed in the summer of 72 and the Brims linked up with other non crip gangs, most prominently the Piru's and created what would later become the Bloods...
And It all started in South Central L.A
Not Long Beach
Not Compton
Not Inglewood
Not Carson
Even though they all played an important role,The Eastside is where all this gang shit started from
