Eh I feel like this is super premature for the MCU. I don’t know why they don’t just allow the MCU’s Spidey a chance to breathe and grow along side his rogues gallery before getting to this kind of stuff. It feels like they are rushing things and makes me super hesitant. Then again, I have enjoyed most all of the MCU stuff so who knows maybe I will love it. For now though I don’t have a good feeling about it. I would have preferred a more traditional closing to Tom’s first Spidey trilogy, maybe going toe to toe with an MCU version of the Green Goblin.

And casting Alfred Molina as Doc Ock would be just plain lazy if he was a completely different version. Yeah, it has great films but everyone acts as though it's the greatest film franchise to ever exist or that it's the first franchise to do a crossover. The sinister 6 are the villains of Spiderman 3 and that Tobey, Andrew and Tom will come together in a rift in the multiverse event to fight them all off. Its meant to be Molina as doc Oc Foxx as Electro Jake as Mysterio Keaton as vulture DAFOE BACK AS GREEN GOBLIN And a soon to be named actor as kraven the hunter.

I agree with you on a lot of what you said here. Doc Ock was great in Spider-Man 2, but he had his story and it ended, he's gone and should stay gone. I imagine they'll be doing a multiverse thing where he's a different Doc Ock, which would be the preferred option for me and I think the more likely option, since Jamie Foxx all but confirmed he's playing a new version of Electro and not the one we got in TASM2, so maybe Molina could play a more villainous Doc Ock or maybe even a reformed Doc Ock would be very cool. All I want from this new Spiderman movie is for it to actually take place in New York because I feel like that is what is being missed in Tom Holland's Spiderman. Even at the end of Far From Home where MJ and Peter are swinging in New York was amazing and hoping for more of that but other than that I'm interested in what this new one movie will bring

I feel like electro being in it from amazing spider-man 2 makes sense but since we already have JK playing JJ but a different one from the Rami one I feel as if this Doc Ock is more of one from the main MCU timeline and we won't see him as doc ock but just regular otto octavious

Its going to be basically a 2part film series with Dr Strange and Multiverse of Madness and Spiderman 3 b2b so we're going to pop into each one of those cinematic universes for maybe 5mins total of the entire film, its not gonna be that deep
There's a couple of things happening right now that point to Andrew and Tobey possibly being in the MCU movies. There's the fact Andrew Garfield has been filmed in New York for some movie right now that they're keeping secret and Tobey Maguire has been seen going into a hollywood costume shop to get his measurements sized for a costume but we don't know for sure if it's going to be a Spider-man costume but things are pointing in that direction
As soon as I heard the news he was coming back I thought of you holden!
And I agree they need to preserve the holy trilogy😭 hopefully they know exactly what they’re doing for the fans

All I want from this new Spiderman movie is for it to actually take place in New York because I feel like that is what is being missed in Tom Holland's Spiderman. Tom Holland's Spiderman was in Washington in the first movie, Europe in his sequel and even in Space for Infinity war and not in New York where I'm used to seeing him. Even at the end of Far From Home where MJ and Peter are swinging in New York was amazing and hoping for more of that but other than that I'm interested in what this new one movie will bring

Definitely agree. If done right, this could be the best Spider-Man movie since SM 2 in my opinion.
Marvel/MCU has made the right choice of actually listening to the fans. Multiverse is the best direction after how monumental the Infinity Saga was.

Honestly, I hope this is all in doctor strange 2 and they're telling us it's in spiderman 3 so we will be suprised when it happens onscreen.
If they bring back Electro and Doc Oc, they BETTER bring back Tobey and Andrew.
I feel like electro being in it from amazing spider-man 2 makes sense but since we already have JK playing JJ but a different one from the Rami one I feel as if this Doc Ock is more of one from the main MCU timeline and we won't see him as doc ock but just regular otto octavious

-Andrew will have his Spider-Man 3 with this movie probably being a Sinister Six movie.
-And finally, all this combined will be Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3.

If Alfred Molina is gonna be the Raimi doc ock, I bet it'll probably be like an endgame thing, where peter (or someone) will be hopping dimensions in the background of other scenes. I mean it's been 16 years since Spider-Man 2, could they justify an older doc ock after he died?

Being a MASSIVE fan of the Raimi trilogy and Molina's Doc Ock,I have to say I feel as you do:cautiously optimistic. I just don't want the trilogy cast appearing in this to be nothing but glorified cameos.

I don’t think it’s gonna be Raimi’s Ock I think it’s gonna be a multiverse version, Jamie’s Electro has been confirmed to have a completely different visual design strengthening the theory that it won’t be their exact previous movie versions

I hope they arent rushing too much with this. Got same concerns as Holden. Tom Holland as spiderman isnt yet THE SPIDERMAN like Andrew's and Tobey's. He yet has to stand all by himself.
