James plays the one breakdown better than Lars does now
James has overall better timing... but in all fairness, one thing (and maybe one of the only things) that Lars is actually very good at is octuple bass drum hits.

Do you know if the drums were overdubbed? If you look at 7:41 to 7:46 there's a time where you hear a cymbal hit and a time where you hear a snare hit and lars isn't playing either of them. Can you confirm this please? This is driving me nuts.

Lars is a lot better than him face it. But i agree that he's the best guitarist of the band (I still love the bluesy rock-'n'-roll-ish style of Kirk Hammett but he's no very technical nowadays.)

It's an extremely tricky intro. Rob is the only one consistentpy playing, so the other three have to know where to come in, and it's super-syncopated.

@@m.c.ruckus2032 To be fair, as a drummer myself you do tend to sweat quite a lot, especially on stage with all those lights acting as heatguns.
@@kukelhupf that is fair. I too am quite familiar with the heat projected along with stage lighting. It's just that most in the live performance line of work don't choose to take the moment to register the compliant publicly while on stage DURING a performance that they are carelessly appearing late to. All eyes were already on him, because of that very reason. He's obviously a very special kind of musician & shouldn't be exposed to such abusive & unfair work conditions. He ought to report this to his local union representative!
