I've become a massive fan of your channel, music and you in general. Keep it up. Tips for someone new to composing more orchestral music? Played guitar and drums for years and know plenty theory, but I know it won't prepare me fully for what I'm more and more interested in. p.s. madonlin is a hugely underrated instrument! I bought one recently and have had loads of inspiration and fun writing european folk style tunes and irish jig type things.
I was bowled over by Cymbeline just yesterday! Also, some tasty stuff on Avi's channel - just now listening to "between worlds tour" ... Roll on the Concerto :)
Not at all! Your videos actually suggest an excellent sense of humor, but I somehow pegged you as one of those people that never actually laugh out loud.
Nice interview. I'm sorry for asking a question not related to the video per say, but years ago I remember someone mention a piece of classical music called "the mad mandolin." The name recently popped back into my mind but I couldn't find anything about once I tried searching on google. Does a piece with that name or with similar name exists?
Welp, a minute looking down in the comments of this video, the piece I was looking for was mentioned, "The Miraculous Mandarin." I was curious about as when I first saw it mention years ago, it was compared to the Rite of Spring.
Thanks for asking my question... (I'm Daniel sarid) I wondering why he thinks he knows me... I mean, I am from Israel too but I never met him, probably he mixes with some other Daniel or might he means hes see my comment...? Great video by the way!
Hey Avi, I know you're not a native speaker, but you definitely must work on your pronunciation of "most UNpopular tune". You swallowed an entire syllable there, dude. This tune is so unpopular, millions of people literally dedicate the very beginning of every single day of their lives to hating on it. Heck, even deep in their sleep, any human will hit their phone as hard and fast as possible just to make it stop.

Andy Statman has some amazing pieces but he’s not really classical, more klezmer.
interesting...

Avi, you really don’t want to be on the next Sting album...
