Absolutely! Patti LaBelle had every right to respond the way she did. The catering woman's behavior was definitely disrespectful and condescending. Patti LaBelle handled it with grace and showed that she won't tolerate being underestimated. She definitely put that chef in her place! Go, Ms Patti! 🙌

He sounds awkward in a lot of these skits. I think it's the fast writing and American delivery, this IS his own Home counties accent. Sometimes in interviews he sounds the same like he's stuttering and slurring a bit ( I'm English and have the same accent as him).

This parody makes it seem like Patti was the unreasonable one in the situation being referenced. Would have been funnier if the sketch played off of the passive-aggressive and condescending tone of the chef instead.

They completely removed all of the Microaggressions and made it look like Patti was overreacting to the clear disrespect that was displayed to her in the original video. Not here for this.

This might have been the best character Ego Nwodim created on SNL so far - she has loads and loads of talent slowly unraveling as she is given more and more to play. I've worked with her 3 times now. She has earned her diva title. Perhaps not in her personal life but damn, with work...she is difficult and pretentious. And if you know her, you know she has acknowledged this.
