  • Alberta Railway Museum 4-6-0 steam loco #1392 was transported by truck over highways to Stettler, Alberta for participation in the Rails and Tales celebration of Canada's 150th existence as a nation.

    Nice video. Not impressed with the grey side rods though; the look too homebuilt.
    I saw those locos for real on Canadian National service, back in the late 40s and early 50s.

    Such a shame that this locomotive should be relegated to the junk pile. It looks nice but sitting in a so called Museum is not the place for a machine like this. It should be on the rails hauling freight or tourist cars. No engine in a museum is worth more than scrap value. It does not run, it does not demonstrate power, it can not operate, it does nothing useful except being stared at. Machines that do not work are useless. Locomotives that are not used have no purpose.
