@@kekw-b2h NP4's the same. If you play the keys hard then you're easily gonna create a midi note with the highest velocity (127) which is abnormal. For NP3 I have to intentionally strike the key with a full power punch to get that. With so many 127 velocity notes, it makes it impractical to record with DAW using Nord Piano 4 & 5.
@@SLSMusic oh I see, so do you only experience this issue while using DAWs or is the issue present while using NP4/5 own sound engine too? Like do the notes hit their highest velocity while pressing hard and reach fortissimo when using nords own sound engine too Cause I’ve tried nord grand and NP4 which I own but I’ve never tried NP3 and honestly I think NP4 is a bit more balanced and kinda resembles more to the grand piano than nord grand does because I dunno nord grand gives kinda unnatural feeling to me honestly
@ No, here I was talking about MIDI velocity, so it has nothing to do with their own sound library. Of course NP series can perform well with their own hardware library while performing live. Recording MIDI is an action musicians would take whey we may need to adjust notes later or put it on another sound library, or even try the same recording with different NORD piano library. It shouldn’t be a problem, but starts from NP4 the MIDI velocity curves became weird. As for you mentioned, I haven’t had a chance to played Nord Piano Grand, but I previously had conversation with Animenz and he also told me he thinks the Nord Grand feels a little bit too much stiffness. But to be fair, even Grand Piano got so many different characteristics with different brand and different model. So I think that really is just a personal preference.
@SLSmusic oh I see, well thanks for clarifying Just out of curiosity if you just wanna MIDI record why are you spending so much money on a nord then, why not purchase a midi controller with good action and stuff Also which VST do you use?
Right? I feel like they've done just about everything else. Stage 4, Nord Wave, Nord Grand 2, Nord Organ 3, and now Piano 6. The electro needs some love! Give it the engine from the organ 3 and the storage capacity of the piano 6 and they will have a winner
What are they going to add to keep it from competing with the stage organ and piano models but still cheaper? My guess is that ittl be later once sales for this go thru
Nord Lead 4 is still full of bugs and feature regressions from the 3. Definitely just ignore that and create the 5. By the time we get the 6, the keys may not even be connected.
The major question on everyone’s minds is if there is any difference (ie. Improvement) to the keybed mechanism on the injury-prone P5 to this new P6??? My P5 is in for warranted repair as three oft-used keys have worn down the midi velocity response to a degree that the loudest sample is now triggered with only average pressure, making the keyboard basically unusable.
@@kvergoossen i know that the Nord Piano 5 has the fatar keybed and the Nord Grand has the Kawai. But i hope they will change from Fatar to Kawai in the 6!
If I could just have a piano that sounds like this, but is easy to navigate like the Korg Grandstage. Every Nord I've ever played leaves me guessing what buttons do what. And on the Nord Grand, when I play in Eb, I tend to play deep within the keybed, so its easy to bump a button. When that happens, Im lost as to how to get back to where I was.
Nice sounding. I just whish they switched the fatar keybed for something better. Then they should also hire a industrial designer because the layout really need some rework. Just look at the messy effect section which is a step back from the Nord Piano 5. That what's happen when engineers are doing UI and graphics work.
From what i'm seeing, it's basically like an iPhone upgrade now. maybe a couple of very minimum changes. Guess the good thing is there will be more deals on the Piano 5 now 👌
#InternetWINSWeekly So the Electro 7.... Okay Internet!!! Nord for the Win with the Nord Piano 6 #nordpiano6! We just KNOW that the Nord Electro 7 (we are anxiously WAITING for) will be amazing Fire!! ❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎆🎹!
Oh dear. Still using the unbalanced Jack outputs from the parts bin. Speaking of parts, are we not going to use a Kawai action Nord? There I was reading about the ‘premium triple sensor action’ - the excitement building then……..oh it’s the same old fatar. So apart from some new switches/faders and a few other tweaks, nothings really changed. The equivalent of Roland’s RD 2000 EX antique facelift - done abroad on the cheap.
I so wish I liked Nord keybed action. Even their "Kawai" keybeds do not feel like my Kawai. I had a Nord Grand, sold it. Then again, for a mix of piano and non-piano sounds...it's probably a good compromise.
I’ve never had a problem with Nord sound engines. But they are mean with memory allocation upgrades and the Fatar 88 note key beds are dreadful in comparison with say the Yamaha CP88.
I wonder what Clavia people make of comments concerning keybeds and other relevant issues. Seems like the company has next to zero public relations interest. Which is a shame. Unless the owners are not interested in earning respect and money. So far, my take on Nords is this: best in the world sound, signature red hypnotizing design, next to worst cheap Kawai actions, crappy ergonomics, heavy as hell, very little spirit of excellence. I still hope there will be a model for piano lovers that i want to buy. (Sold Grand 1 for action quality) Good luck, Clavia. Would be nice to at least know there is one person is the management who reads these.
I don't like the temperament of the player, but then I realized if it is a person with more pure and pristine temperament, but the crowd is not, they probably will try to reject you as "not a culture fit", just like my software engineers coworkers, who may go WTF all day and smoke California legal grass, and if they sense that you are more of an intellect, they will as a group, reject you
Looks and sounds like the 5,4,3 ect 😂 they build the same keyboard every 3 years and it’s just move the panels and knobs around, red paint and a 4K + price tag. 🤦🏾♂️
Man this guy is an artist!
Your also!
Beautifully played! Such a peaceful sound🍃
The love for Upright piano sounds is strong ❤ Would love to try it out and see how it feels.
It's a good time to be a nord enjoyer right now
Sounds amazing and the dude playing is super niiice.. Excellent video!
Beautiful demonstration
ang ganda
I wonder if Nord fix the MIDI velocity issue which bothers me in NP4 and NP5. (NP3 is fine though) I really hope so.
Oh thats why you sold your NP5
But I do own one NP4, what do you mean by velocity issue, is it only in some specific keys or like in the whole 88 keys

Lovely piece and performance. And the Nord Piano 6 sounds wonderful - and the action appears to be very playable. 🎹
ok, but when are they going to launch the nord electro 7?

I would not be surprised if it comes out within a week. New organ engine on the Organ 3 would presumably be implemented in a new Electro too.
What are they going to add to keep it from competing with the stage organ and piano models but still cheaper? My guess is that ittl be later once sales for this go thru
Where is the new piano library? I love all the upright sound!
yeah, they usually release a new library with ever hw release :) I hope something will come eventually - but the piano looks great anyways!
well done.
Let’s go ❤❤
Cool stuff, looking forward to testing it out !
The sound of something great should never change. The functionality of how we use it changing technology should be the thing that changes.
Any news on a new Nord Wave 3, Nord Lead 5 or Nord Lead A2?
Nord Lead 4 is still full of bugs and feature regressions from the 3. Definitely just ignore that and create the 5. By the time we get the 6, the keys may not even be connected.
I’m not sure what an electro 7 could add but interested to see if it does arrive
Ok now that sounds great.
Release a minimal version with less built in sounds
Nice guys keep it going Like this ❤

Nord Electro 7 NOW 🙏
Ending that with a random minor chord was pretty fire 🔥
Espectacular!
Simply lovely! What keybed will be in it? Fatar or Kawai?
Fatar. That is the main difference with the Nord Grand 2.

Does it have same keybed than Nord Grand 2?
Kd o electro 7 dona @nord keyboard?
3% better and 10% more expensive

Not much has changed from the 5 to 6 other than the triple sensor keybed and led faders, and effects per layer
the triple sensor has been on the Piano lineup since the Piano 3
Got massive nostalgic Sims 1 vibes there, what a beautiful piano patch too 😍
Beautiful tone!!! Between Nord Korg Kronos & Roland new Juno yall taking all my money 🤦🏽♂️🔥🔥🔥
What about Skate 4?

Nord electro 7
Só falta o electro 7 agora
Lead in rack format again please
And a new drum
Please. Just give us a pitch bend and mod wheel.
Wheres the new NORD DRUM 4!!!?????
Bro i havent even gotten the piano 5 yet😂😂😂😂😂😂holdddd onnnnn

It’s a shame they don’t offer a rack version. It would sell like hot cakes.
Electro 7 só ano que vem mesmo kkk
NORD LEAD A2 NOW PLEASE
Has it 2mb more ram or something? How about mapping a variable key velocity to a dedicated piano sample?
Question is, will Nord ever increase memory size so we can at least with make our own samples without deleting everything! It’s ridiculous! Grr
just waiting for Nord Electro 7...
아니 나온 지 얼마나 되었다고 벌써 신버전이 나오나 nord Piano 5 할부가 아직 안끝났어 이 사람들아..ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Wow ein Klavier Sound in einem Digitalen Kasten.
Nord Piano 6 is to Nord Grand 2 the same as Nord Piano 4 is to Nord Grand

Hopefully Fatar TP/400 keys in this update
electro7!!!!give me!!🙏
A demo of a new keyboard that has 2 piano layers and 2 sample synth layers, and all we hear is one piano sound?
Every church in America entered the chat
Soo.. You have time to make this but not the electro 7??🙄
how many kidneys does this one cost?
I prefer Pianoverse
Who's buying these? They keep selling the same board 😂
Roland V-Stage just "killed" all nord.
yet another updated Nord keyboard that no one cares about. Where's the electro 7, baby?
Someone said there’s something coming on the 24th. But not sure
Nord Lead 5
I would hit the buy button so unbelievably fast that even Nord would be shocked for a moment…
Wheres the nord drum 4!???
Could be a chance they will not release it till later because it will be in budget competition with the piano and organ series
Cool, a new reason to take out a bank loan !
What's wrong with the d" ? (clinging sound)
All the Keyboards comes with new versions and new price but the piano sound remains same..
Absolutely pointless unfortunately.
Fuck no where is the nord lead?!!!
Why you don't just change the numbers in prices 😂
Very boring....
$4000 😅
Again, far superior to Roland piano sounds.
