Hi
i think theres a farlowella accus
A needlefish in the ocean will see your necklace.. and then dive at it pop your jugular vein and you'll bleed out before you get back in the boat.
Bobby: What is that.. Brandon: it's a shrimp.. Bobby.. I have no CLUE what that is. Brandon: it's a shrimp... Bobby what could it be.. still Brandon.. it's a shrimp... Bobby.. it's going crazy what is it... Brandon.. it's a shrimp..
😂😂 Bobby your so simple I love it 😂😂😂😂.
ITS A large freshwater SHRIMP. Guess what you can find them blue too!
Needle fish
6:00 Brandon: "It's a shrimp".. "that's because it's a shrimp"... "it's a shrimp".
Inside Brandon's head: "OMG LISTEN TO MY WORDS! It IS A SHRIMP!"
SWRIMP
@@JunoBrandon it’s a swrimp
BRO WHAT IS THAT
The shrimp is a bamboo fan shrimp they use fans on the end of there hands to filter feed. The brown stick looking fish is a whiptailed catfish
Hands
Whiptail catfish, bamboo shrimp FYI these dudes are a GREAT FOOD ITEM to keep in the tank of the fish you catch with them. They clean and the FISH LOVE THEM!
Blue fin Killie ! Not hard to remember ! Native found throughout Florida !
An aluminum frame screen works way better than a net,try it you'll like it.👍.
You really should get some trophius for the cichlids pond
I giggle every time when you scream. Keep up with these awesome videos and keep doing what you love!
Lmfao dude screams all the time ! I said it the other day in comments in diff video. The little girl screams work for him he’s got a good following and it’s funny too .
Butterfingers goes back further then I realised 😂. Cool video 👍
I think that's a bamboo shrimp. Pretty green color! Mine is red. 🔥
Farlowella acus is the type species of the armored catfish genus Farlowella, which are commonly known as the twig catfish or whiptail catfish. The species name means “pointed” or a “needle” or “spine”.
Among two suckermouth fish, the bigger one is Pterygoplichthys scrophus.
The smaller also one is also Pterygoplichthys, but the other species.
And once again "stick" fish is farlowella.
All these fish are from loricaridae family, from South America.
Looks like a bamboo shrimp. They're awesome in an aquarium AND expensive
that twig cat us a farlowella sp. ive got three of em and i love them :))
Please put the stick catfish or whatever you guys are calling it in a tank so we can watch it better and whatever happened to that little puffer fish? Love your videos you guys happy 4th from Phoenix
I think ponds are really cool
That long stick fish is call twig catfish or Farlowella acus one of my favorite fish to keep
Underwater jungle with guppy and schrimp would be cool
Your catch at 8:46 is a twig catfish ( farlowella vitata ) . I've been breeding them for 10 years. I've had both sexes reach 9 inches. They must have lots of algae and bio film for optimal health. Wonderful catch and easy to breed :)
S
First pleco is a Amazonian Farlowella (stick pleco or branch pleco). The other one is a sailfin catfish looks like Hypostomus.
The small colorful minnow like fish are spot tail darters and the plecos are same species just varies of pattern
Try a seine. One of you can hold it and the other can go up/down-stream to drive the fish into the seine. You’ll get obscene amounts of fish. When I was a kid I did it and sol the small fish and crawdads to fishermen for bait.
It may not be legal depending on what state you’re in.
Hey when u go fish trapping u should bring 2 buckets one for fish to keep and one for the tilapia to feed for ur fish
Great Channel ty! Marine biologist here....u should invest in a digital ph/thermometer/salinity device. Test ur ponds salinity n ph it will help u decide which pond to put em in!
you guys have caught one of those whiptail catfish before.
I have been a fan for three years now and i'm still entertained by you
Omg a whip tail...never knew the name either...Found one as a kid. They are cool. One thing in our water ways that no one ever finds usually. Cool just looked it up. They eat alage wafers and natural alage. And like zucchini and veggies oddly enough. Grow to 8 inches.
They like to sell those pleco fish as "cleaner fish" and indeed, they do eat algae, but they actually create more bioload for fish tanks. Like, ppl think "if i get this pleco I won't need to clean my tank as often" but that's actually not true bc it's a fish that eats and poops and so creates nitrates in ur water levels the same as any fish. The industry just likes to advertise them this way.
You got me so hyped up whenever you said it was a red crawfish
Another great video. You guys are so fun to watch. Keep'em coming. BTW, you should keep the tiny shrimp and let them feed on the poop from the bigger fish. It'll help with the ammonia and nitrates in the water. Might be helpful in the long run, and could be some good eating for the fish.lol
You should make a small pond for the crawfish and let them bread to feed the bigger fish and to eat! Yourself lol I would for sure same with the shrimp put them both in the same pond
“LOOK AT THIS OH MY GOD”
(pulls out the same 50 fish)
Pennywise: We all float down here
BFP: Nah I'm good
Pennywise: We've got bamboo shrimp and pipe fish
BFP: Aight, Ima head down
I say this in the nicest way... but I am surprised how many species you are unaware of. Many of them are not really all that rare or unknown, just oddballs.
And I am pretty sure you could catch & sell a lot of the things you guys find. For instance, those Bamboo Shrimp are like $12 & the Farlowellas Catfish are like $15-20 at Petco... so think of all the money from Cichlids you guys find.
a simple book with the most common species would help him ... calling a farlowella a gar, a stickfish is scary, i think Florida has laws about returning invasive fish into the wild as well, basically all the "invasive" species he catches he should either remove from nature or kill.
They don’t do it for money dude just loves fish and loves finding new ones he hasn’t seen before
16:03 I’d buy a box of fish if they’d sell them to me.
Use Google lens to indentify the species. Just take a photo and it will scan and show you the fish species.
That shrimp thing looks like the bugs from the Matrix!
Yo dude i love your channel love your trapping..... Um one thought though is what if you got a paddle board and like made a drag net.... Would work great for your rescue videos
and your doing what you love and like with branden
That long eel like fish looks like a trumpet fish or a slender freshwater needle fish
Or a pipefish
Why don't you put a large fish net across the creek and chase the fish into it. You will get more variety that way.
I think the stick fish thing you caught was a baby leafy sea dragon pushed down by a current from the sea to the river
I love your video l have been watching them for months
You are the best youtuber ever
What dose that mean
Cool, enjoyed the video, keep catching.
It’s a stick catfish. It’s a type of armored cat fish and it sucks to edges of the water like that pipe in s fish tank. They have a sucker like the pleco
Great vid today I’m always lovin the plakos
The little fish you caught that was blue , yellow , gray is a neon tetra the catfish with no spots is a armored catfish if I’m not wrong but I’m 99.9% sure it is
least killi fish, whiptail cat, and looks like a bamboo shrimp (maybe some kind of fan shrimp)
The twig like fish is a farlowella catfish, more commonly known as a whiptail cat
Yup
💯 used to keep these instead of plecos. Do the same thing just a little slower
@@Jim_____ ye
“..buh bye your not special enough’..” lol
Your channel is the best
So there was this bridge nearby my house, Some of the villagers nearby fishes in them and they caught a huge sucker fish im pretty sure its the same species as the one you catched
Another solid video.
The unknown stick fish should be named Woody if he ends up in one of your ponds.
On a side note, once again encouraging you to dub in a Homer Simpson scream over your scream. You're scream twins.
You guys should pick up trash as you go along and make the environment more cleaner healthier for the fish and animals around
Or not, since you didn't litter & don't have hours to spend picking up someone's shit.
Farlowella acus is the fish, also known as the whiptailed catfish. Not sure about shrimps though.
Wow cool catches.
That long fish thing would be a good pet he doesn’t move while being held 😂
